In this Surah, Tawhid is emphasized and Shirk and its ideas are critically examined. It tells us that those who are following Shirk they are only blindly following their forefathers. The true wisdom is to believe in Allah. The advises of Luqman the wise are also given here to support the same principles.

Quran 2:212

The life of this world has been made appealing to the disbelievers, and they mock the believers. Those who are mindful ˹of Allah˺ will rank above them on the Day of Judgment. And Allah provides for whoever He wills without limit.Quran 2:212

The surah addresses a wide variety of topics, including substantial amounts of law, and retells stories of Adam, Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). A major theme is guidance: urging the pagans (Al-Mushrikeen) and the Jews of Medina to embrace Islam, and warning them and the hypocrites (Munafiqun) of the fate God had visited in the past on those who failed to heed his call.

Quran 78:17~29

Indeed, the Day of ˹Final˺ Decision is an appointed time—˹it is˺ the Day the Trumpet will be blown, and you will ˹all˺ come forth in crowds. The sky will be ˹split˺ open, becoming ˹many˺ gates, and the mountains will be blown away, becoming ˹like˺ a mirage.Indeed, Hell is lying in ambushas a home for the transgressors, where they will remain for ˹endless˺ ages. There they will not taste any coolness or drink, except boiling water and ˹oozing˺ pus—a fitting reward. For they never expected any reckoning, and totally rejected Our signs. And We have everything recorded precisely.Quran 78:17~29 [Surah an-Naba’ ](Arabic: النبأ, an-nabaʼ, also known as "The Tidings", "The Announcement")

This Surah takes its name from the second Ayat, عَنِ النَّبَإِ الْعَظِيمِ “About the great news -” [78:2].

Quran 99:1~8

When the earth is shaken ˹in˺ its ultimate quaking, and when the earth throws out ˹all˺ its contents, and humanity cries, “What is wrong with it?”—on that Day the earth will recount everything, having been inspired by your Lord ˹to do so˺.On that Day people will proceed in separate groups to be shown ˹the consequences of˺ their deeds. So whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it.And whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it.Quran 99:1~8 [Surah Az Zilzal (the Earthquake, The Shaking)]

It takes its name after the first Ayat,
“When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake.” [99:1]

Its theme is the second life after death and presentation in it, before man, of the full record of the deeds done by him in the world.
In the first three sentences it has been told briefly how the second life after death will take place and how confounding it will be for man.
In the next two sentences it has been said that this very earth on which man has lived and performed all kinds of deeds thoughtlessly, and about which he never could fancy that this lifeless thing would at some time in the future bear witness to his deeds, will speak out on that Day by God’s command and will state in respect of each individual person what act he had committed at a particular time and place.
Then, it has been said that men on that Day, rising from their graves, will come out in their varied groups from all corners of the earth, to be shown their deeds and works, and their presentation of the deeds will be so complete and detailed that not an atom’s weight of any good or evil act will be left unnoticed or hidden from his eyes.

Quran 18:103~105

Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Shall we inform you of who will lose the most deeds?˹They are˺ those whose efforts are in vain in this worldly life, while they think they are doing good!”It is they who reject the signs of their Lord and their meeting with Him, rendering their deeds void, so We will not give their deeds any weight on Judgment Day.Quran 18:103~105 (Surah al-Kahf)
Al-Kahf (Arabic: الكهف, al-kahf; meaning: The Cave) is the 18th chapter (sūrah) of the Quran with 110 verses (āyāt).

There is a hadith in Sahih Muslim that states that Muhammad said (Concerning The False Messiah, Al-Masih ad-Dajjal):
“He who amongst you would survive to see him should recite over him the opening verses of Sura Kahf”
— Sahih Muslim, Book 41, Number 7015

This Surah was sent down in answer to three questions which the polytheists of Makkah in consultation with the People of the Book (the Jews and the Christians) put to the Prophet. These were:
Who were ‘The Sleepers of the Cave?’
What is the real story of Khidr?
What do you know about Dhul-Qarnain?
These three questions and their stories related to the history of the Christians and the Jews and were unknown in the Arabian Peninsula (Hijaz), so they were being used to test the divine knowledge revealed to the Prophet. However, God informed the Prophet of the complete answer to these questions and also employed the stories in the conflict between Islam and unbelief.
The questioners were told that the ‘Sleepers of the Cave’ believed in the same doctrine of Monotheism (Tawhid) which was being put forward in the Qur’an and that their condition was similar to that of the persecuted Muslims of Makkah. Also, the persecutors of the Sleepers of the Cave behaved in the same way as the disbelievers of Quraysh towards the Muslims. This particular story was a warning to the chiefs of Makkah, who were persecuting the small newly formed Muslim community. Additionally, the Prophet was instructed not to compromise with the persecutors nor consider the chiefs to be more important than his own followers. Likewise, the chiefs too were admonished and informed not to be distracted by the temporary life of this world but seek the eternal life of the hereafter.

Quran 20:128~130

Is it not yet clear to them how many peoples We destroyed before them, whose ruins they still pass by? Surely in this are signs for people of sound judgment.Had it not been for a prior decree from your Lord ˹O Prophet˺ and a term already set, their ˹instant˺ doom would have been inevitable. So be patient ˹O Prophet˺ with what they say. And glorify the praises of your Lord before sunrise and before sunset, and glorify Him in the hours of the night and at both ends of the day, so that you may be pleased ˹with the reward˺.Quran 20:128~130

The subject matter of the Surah is to assure the Prophet and his followers that the message of the Qur’an will eventually succeed. The story of Prophet Moses is mentioned in detail. Then it is mentioned how the enemies of Islam are opposing it and what will be the consequences of this opposition for them.

But whoever turns away from My Reminder will certainly have a miserable life, then We will raise them up blind on the Day of Judgment.”They will cry, “My Lord! Why have you raised me up blind, although I used to see?”Allah will respond, “It is so, just as Our revelations came to you and you neglected them, so Today you are neglected.”This is how We reward whoever transgresses and does not believe in the revelations of their Lord. Quran 7:187~188

They ask you ˹O Prophet˺ regarding the Hour, “When will it be?” Say, “That knowledge is only with my Lord. He alone will reveal it when the time comes. It is too tremendous for the heavens and the earth and will only take you by surprise.” They ask you as if you had full knowledge of it. Say, “That knowledge is only with Allah, but most people do not know.”Say, “I have no power to benefit or protect myself, except by the Will of Allah. If I had known the unknown, I would have benefited myself enormously, and no harm would have ever touched me. I am only a warner and deliverer of good news for those who believe.”Quran 7:187~188

The basic theme of this Surah is Risalah, i.e. Allah’s message as it was sent through many messengers. Several Prophets and parts of their stories are mentioned to emphasize Prophets’ mission and their struggle with their people.
The Surah tells us that Allah’s Prophets suffered for the cause of truth.
Their enemies tried to harm them, but then Allah helped his prophets and defeated their enemies.
The Surah emphasizes that the true message must be presented under all circumstances.
After the Prophets it is the duty of the Believers to convey the message of Allah to all people.

Quran 22:11~13

And there are some who worship Allah on the verge ˹of faith˺: if they are blessed with something good, they are content with it; but if they are afflicted with a trial, they relapse ˹into disbelief˺, losing this world and the Hereafter. That is ˹truly˺ the clearest loss. They call besides Allah what can neither harm nor benefit them. That is ˹truly˺ the farthest one can stray. They invoke those whose worship leads to harm, not benefit. What an evil patron and what an evil associate!Quran 22:11~13
