Quran 54:9~16 (Ayah al-Qamar)

Before them, the people of Noah denied ˹the truth˺ and rejected Our servant, calling ˹him˺ insane. And he was intimidated. So he cried out to his Lord, “I am helpless, so help ˹me˺!” So We opened the gates of the sky with pouring rain, and caused the earth to burst with springs, so the waters met for a fate already set. We carried him on that ˹Ark made˺ of planks and nails, sailing under Our ˹watchful˺ Eyes— a ˹fair˺ punishment on behalf of the one ˹they˺ denied. We certainly left this as a sign. So is there anyone who will be mindful? Then how ˹dreadful˺ were My punishment and warnings! Quran 54:9~16 Surah al-Qamar (The Moon)
This Surah takes its name from the first Ayat,
اقْتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَةُ وَانشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ
“The Hour has come near, and the moon has split [in two].” (54:1).
Surah al-Qamar is in the 27th Juzz and the word Qamar [moon] appears in the Qur’an 27 times.
An interesting observation is that the Moon orbits the Earth every 27 days.
There are 55 Ayat in this Surah.
۞ كَذَّبَتۡ قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحࣲ فَكَذَّبُوا۟ عَبۡدَنَا وَقَالُوا۟ مَجۡنُونࣱ وَٱزۡدُجِرَ فَدَعَا رَبَّهُۥۤ أَنِّی مَغۡلُوبࣱ فَٱنتَصِرۡ فَفَتَحۡنَاۤ أَبۡوَ ٰبَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ بِمَاۤءࣲ مُّنۡهَمِرࣲ وَفَجَّرۡنَا ٱلۡأَرۡضَ عُیُونࣰا فَٱلۡتَقَى ٱلۡمَاۤءُ عَلَىٰۤ أَمۡرࣲ قَدۡ قُدِرَ وَحَمَلۡنَـٰهُ عَلَىٰ ذَاتِ أَلۡوَ ٰحࣲ وَدُسُرࣲ تَجۡرِی بِأَعۡیُنِنَا جَزَاۤءࣰ لِّمَن كَانَ كُفِرَ وَلَقَد تَّرَكۡنَـٰهَاۤ ءَایَةࣰ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرࣲ فَكَیۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِی وَنُذُرِ
The Surah talks about the approaching Day of Judgment. It describes some of the scenes of that Day.
It also tells us that Allah’s judgment may come here and now.
There are references to the flood that came at the time of Prophet Noah, the punishment of the people of ‘Ad, Thamud, People of Prophet Lot, the Pharaoh and his people.
It ends with the good news for the Believers who will be near their Lord in the gardens of bliss.
ان سے پہلے نوحؑ کی قوم نے بھی تکذیب کی تھی تو انہوں نے ہمارے بندے کو جھٹلایا اور کہا کہ دیوانہ ہے اور انہیں ڈانٹا بھی تو انہوں نے اپنے پروردگار سے دعا کی کہ (بار الٓہا) میں (ان کے مقابلے میں) کمزور ہوں تو (ان سے) بدلہ لے پس ہم نے زور کے مینہ سے آسمان کے دہانے کھول دیئے اور زمین میں چشمے جاری کردیئے تو پانی ایک کام کے لئے جو مقدر ہوچکا تھا جمع ہوگیا اور ہم نے نوحؑ کو ایک کشتی پر جو تختوں اور میخوں سے تیار کی گئی تھی سوار کرلیا وہ ہماری آنکھوں کے سامنے چلتی تھی۔ (یہ سب کچھ) اس شخص کے انتقام کے لئے (کیا گیا) جس کو کافر مانتے نہ تھے اور ہم نے اس کو ایک عبرت بنا چھوڑا تو کوئی ہے کہ سوچے سمجھے؟ سو (دیکھ لو کہ) میرا عذاب اور ڈرانا کیسا ہوا؟
Sections:
The Day of Judgment is near. References to Prophet Noah, and to the tribe of ‘Ad,

Pharaoh and his arrogance.
The opponents in Makkah are told whether they think they are better or more powerful than those nations.
The wrong doers did suffer the consequences of their evil deeds.

Quran 6:63~64

Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Who rescues you from the darkest times on land and at sea? He ˹alone˺ you call upon with humility, openly and secretly: “If You rescue us from this, we will be ever grateful.” Say, “˹Only˺ Allah rescues you from this and any other distress, yet you associate others with Him ˹in worship˺.” Quran 6:63~64 Surah al-An`am (Livestock)
Al-An’am (Arabic: ٱلأنعام, al-ʾanʿām; meaning: The Cattle) is the sixth chapter (sūrah) of the Quran, with 165 verses (āyāt).

قُلۡ مَن یُنَجِّیكُم مِّن ظُلُمَـٰتِ ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ تَدۡعُونَهُۥ تَضَرُّعࣰا وَخُفۡیَةࣰ لَّىِٕنۡ أَنجَىٰنَا مِنۡ هَـٰذِهِۦ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلشَّـٰكِرِینَ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ یُنَجِّیكُم مِّنۡهَا وَمِن كُلِّ كَرۡبࣲ ثُمَّ أَنتُمۡ تُشۡرِكُونَ
This surah dwells on such themes as the clear signs of Allah’s Dominion and Power, rejecting polytheism and unbelief, the establishment of Tawhid (pure monotheism), the Revelation, Messengership, and Resurrection.
کہو بھلا تم کو جنگلوں اور دریاؤں کے اندھیروں سے کون مخلصی دیتا ہے (جب) کہ تم اسے عاجزی اور نیاز پنہانی سے پکارتے ہو (اور کہتے ہو) اگر خدا ہم کو اس (تنگی) سے نجات بخشے تو ہم اس کے بہت شکر گزار ہوں کہو کہ خدا ہی تم کو اس (تنگی) سے اور ہر سختی سے نجات بخشتا ہے۔ پھر (تم) اس کے ساتھ شرک کرتے ہو
Paying attention carefully to the contents of the verses of this Surah can remove the soul of hypocrisy and disperse from among Muslims, and cause the ears to be hearing, the eyes to be clear-sighted, and the hearts (minds) to be knowledgeable.

Quran 84:1~5

When the sky bursts open, obeying its Lord as it must, and when the earth is flattened out, and ejects ˹all˺ its contents and becomes empty, obeying its Lord as it must, ˹surely you will all be judged˺. Quran 84:1~5 Surah al-Inshiqaq (Splitting Open)
The Surah takes its name after the first Ayat, إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انشَقَّتْ
“When the sky has split [open]” [84:1]

بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنشَقَّتْ وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ وَإِذَا ٱلْأَرْضُ مُدَّتْ وَأَلْقَتْ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتْ وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ
This Surah tells us that this world has no permanence.
It also speaks about the record of deeds and the rewards of the righteous and the punishment of the wicked.
It reminds people to pay attention to the Qur’an.
شروع الله کے نام سے جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم والا ہے جب آسمان پھٹ جائے گا اور اپنے پروردگار کا فرمان بجا لائے گا اور اسے واجب بھی یہ ہی ہے اور جب زمین ہموار کر دی جائے گی جو کچھ اس میں ہے اسے نکال کر باہر ڈال دے گی اور (بالکل) خالی ہو جائے گی اور اپنے پروردگار کے ارشاد کی تعمیل کرے گی اور اس کو لازم بھی یہی ہے (تو قیامت قائم ہو جائے گی)

Quran 35:29~30

Surely those who recite the Book of Allah, establish prayer, and donate from what We have provided for them —secretly and openly— ˹can˺ hope for an exchange that will never fail, so that He will reward them in full and increase them out of His grace. He is truly All-Forgiving, Most Appreciative. Quran 35:29~30 Surah Fatir (The Creator)
This Surah takes it name after the first Ayat,
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّـهِ فَاطِرِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ جَاعِلِ الْمَلَائِكَةِ رُسُلًا أُولِي أَجْنِحَةٍ مَّثْنَىٰ وَثُلَاثَ وَرُبَاعَ
“[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, [who] made the angels messengers having wings, two or three or four….” (35:1)
There are 45 Ayat in this Surah.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ یَتۡلُونَ كِتَـٰبَ ٱللَّهِ وَأَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأَنفَقُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقۡنَـٰهُمۡ سِرࣰّا وَعَلَانِیَةࣰ یَرۡجُونَ تِجَـٰرَةࣰ لَّن تَبُورَ لِیُوَفِّیَهُمۡ أُجُورَهُمۡ وَیَزِیدَهُم مِّن فَضۡلِهِۦۤۚ إِنَّهُۥ غَفُورࣱ شَكُورࣱ
In this Surah Allah warns the non-believers on their negative attitude towards Islam and Prophet Muhammad -peace be upon him.
The basic message is also explained to them.
جو لوگ خدا کی کتاب پڑھتے اور نماز کی پابندی کرتے ہیں اور جو کچھ ہم نے ان کو دیا ہے اس میں سے پوشیدہ اور ظاہر خرچ کرتے ہیں وہ اس تجارت (کے فائدے) کے امیدوار ہیں جو کبھی تباہ نہیں ہوگی کیونکہ خدا ان کو پورا پورا بدلہ دے گا اور اپنے فضل سے کچھ زیادہ بھی دے گا۔ وہ تو بخشنے والا (اور) قدردان ہے
Sections:
Allah’s creative power and His angels. None can stop the mercy of Allah. Be aware of Satan.
The success of the truth over falsehood will surely come.
Allah has power to remove you and bring another group in your place.
Every people had a Warner.
The true believers in Allah.
Allah’s plan cannot be changed or altered. Allah gives time to people to repent.

Quran 100:1~11

’ By the galloping, panting horses, striking sparks of fire ˹with their hoofs˺, launching raids at dawn, stirring up ˹clouds of˺ dust, and penetrating into the heart of enemy lines ! Surely humankind is ungrateful to their Lord— and they certainly attest to this — and they are truly extreme in their love of ˹worldly˺ gains. Do they not know that when the contents of the graves will be spilled out, and the secrets of the hearts will be laid bare— surely their Lord is All-Aware of them on that Day. Hadees: 100:1~11 [al-`Adiyat (The Courser, The Chargers)]
This Surah takes its name from the first Ayat, وَالْعَادِيَاتِ ضَبْحًا “By the racers, panting,” [100:1]
There are 11 Ayat in this Surah.
وَٱلۡعَـٰدِیَـٰتِ ضَبۡحࣰا فَٱلۡمُورِیَـٰتِ قَدۡحࣰا فَٱلۡمُغِیرَ ٰتِ صُبۡحࣰا فَأَثَرۡنَ بِهِۦ نَقۡعࣰا فَوَسَطۡنَ بِهِۦ جَمۡعًا إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ لِرَبِّهِۦ لَكَنُودࣱ وَإِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ ذَ ٰلِكَ لَشَهِیدࣱ وَإِنَّهُۥ لِحُبِّ ٱلۡخَیۡرِ لَشَدِیدٌ ۞ أَفَلَا یَعۡلَمُ إِذَا بُعۡثِرَ مَا فِی ٱلۡقُبُورِ وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِی ٱلصُّدُورِ إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمۡ یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ لَّخَبِیرُۢ
The Surah tells us the ungratefulness of man and where it leads him. It also reminds us that Allah is aware of all the hidden secrets of human souls and He will expose them on the Day of Judgment.
قسم ہے اُن (گھوڑوں) کی جو پھنکارے مارتے ہوئے دوڑتے ہیں پھر (اپنی ٹاپوں سے) چنگاریاں جھاڑتے ہیں پھر صبح سویرے چھاپہ مارتے ہیں پھر اس موقع پر گرد و غبار اڑاتے ہیں پھر اِسی حالت میں کسی مجمع کے اندر جا گھستے ہیں حقیقت یہ ہے کہ انسان اپنے رب کا بڑا ناشکرا ہے اور وہ خود اِس پر گواہ ہے اور وہ مال و دولت کی محبت میں بری طرح مبتلا ہے تو کیا وہ اُس حقیقت کو نہیں جانتا جب قبروں میں جو کچھ (مدفون) ہے اُسے نکال لیا جائے گا اور سینوں میں جو کچھ (مخفی) ہے اُسے برآمد کر کے اس کی جانچ پڑتال کی جائے گی؟ یقیناً اُن کا رب اُس روز اُن سے خوب باخبر ہوگا
Its object is to make the people realise how evil man becomes when he denies the Hereafter, or becomes heedless of it, and also to warn them that in the Hereafter not only their visible and apparent deeds but even the secrets hidden in their hearts too will be subjected to scrutiny.
For this purpose the general chaos and confusion prevailing in Arabia, with which the whole country was in turmoil, has been presented as an argument. Bloodshed, loot and plunder raged on every side. Tribes were subjecting tribes to raids, and no one could have peaceful sleep at night from fear that some enemy tribe might raid his settlement early in the morning. Every Arab was fully conscious of this state of affairs and realised that it was wrong. Although the plundered bemoaned his miserable, helpless state and the plunderer rejoiced, yet when the plunderer himself was plundered, he too realised how wretched was the condition in which the whole nation was involved. Referring to this very state of affairs, it has been said: Unaware of the second life after death and his accountability before God in it, man has become ungrateful to his Lord and Sustainer. He is using the powers and abilities given by God for perpetrating tyranny and pillage; blinded by the love of worldly wealth he tries to obtain it by every means, however impure and filthy, and his own state itself testifies that by abusing the powers bestowed by his Lord, he is being ungrateful to Him. He would never have behaved so, had he known the time when the dead will be raised from the graves, and when the intentions and motives with which he had done all sorts of deeds in the world, will be exposed and brought out before everyone to see. At that time the Lord and Sustainer of men shall be well informed of what one had done and what punishment or reward one deserved.

Quran 15:10~15

Indeed, We sent messengers before you ˹O Prophet˺ among the groups of early peoples, but no messenger ever came to them without being mocked. This is how We allow disbelief ˹to steep˺ into the hearts of the wicked. They would not believe in this ˹Quran˺ despite the ˹many˺ examples of those ˹destroyed˺ before. And even if We opened for them a gate to heaven, through which they continued to ascend, still they would say, “Our eyes have truly been dazzled! In fact, we must have been bewitched.” Quran 15:10~15
It is named ‘Hijr’ after the valley located between Madinah and Sham [Greater Syria], where the people of Salih, Thamud lived.

وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِكَ فِی شِیَعِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ وَمَا یَأۡتِیهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ یَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ كَذَ ٰلِكَ نَسۡلُكُهُۥ فِی قُلُوبِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦ وَقَدۡ خَلَتۡ سُنَّةُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ وَلَوۡ فَتَحۡنَا عَلَیۡهِم بَابࣰا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ فَظَلُّوا۟ فِیهِ یَعۡرُجُونَ لَقَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّمَا سُكِّرَتۡ أَبۡصَـٰرُنَا بَلۡ نَحۡنُ قَوۡمࣱ مَّسۡحُورُونَ
The main theme of the Surah is divine guidance, and people’s response. Allah’s warns those who deny this message and as a reminder of these warnings, we have here the stories of Prophet Lot’s people, Thamud and other groups.
اے محمدؐ، ہم تم سے پہلے بہت سی گزری ہوئی قوموں میں رسول بھیج چکے ہیں کبھی ایسا نہیں ہوا کہ اُن کہ پاس کوئی رسول آیا ہو اور اُنہوں نے اُس کا مذاق نہ اڑایا ہو مجرمین کے دلوں میں تو ہم اس ذکر کو اِسی طرح (سلاخ کے مانند) گزارتے ہیں وہ اِس پر ایمان نہیں لایا کرتے قدیم سے اِس قماش کے لوگوں کا یہی طریقہ چلا آ رہا ہے اگر ہم اُن پر آسمان کا کوئی دروازہ کھول دیتے اور وہ دن دہاڑے اُس میں چڑھنے بھی لگتے تب بھی وہ یہی کہتے کہ ہماری آنکھوں کو دھوکا ہو رہا ہے، بلکہ ہم پر جادو کر دیا گیا ہے
Sections:
Qur’an is the Books of Allah. He revealed it and He will guard it.
Allah knows everything in the universe. He is the Creator of all.
The creation of human being is from a very humble stuff, but Allah honored him and asked angels to bow down to Adam. Satan’s response.
Allah is very forgiving, but His punishment is also severe.
Prophet Lot and Prophet Shu’aib’s people.
The People of Hijr and what happened to them. Qur’an and Surah al-Fatihah are special gifts of Allah. Allah will take care of those who ridicule His message

Quran 13:10~11

It is the same ˹to Him˺ whether any of you speaks secretly or openly, whether one hides in the darkness of night or goes about in broad daylight. For each one there are successive angels before and behind, protecting them by Allah’s command. Indeed, Allah would never change a people’s state ˹of favour˺ until they change their own state ˹of faith˺. And if it is Allah’s Will to torment a people, it can never be averted, nor can they find a protector other than Him. Quran 13:10~11
The word ar-Ra’d (thunder), which this Surah is named after, is used in the 13th Surah of the Qur’an, in the 13th Juzz and is the 13th Ayat.
This Surah has 43 Ayaat.

سَوَآءٌ مِّنۡكُمۡ مَّنۡ اَسَرَّ الۡقَوۡلَ وَ مَنۡ جَهَرَ بِهٖ وَمَنۡ هُوَ مُسۡتَخۡفٍۢ بِالَّيۡلِ وَسَارِبٌۢ بِالنَّهَارِ‏ لَهٗ مُعَقِّبٰتٌ مِّنۡۢ بَيۡنِ يَدَيۡهِ وَمِنۡ خَلۡفِهٖ يَحۡفَظُوۡنَهٗ مِنۡ اَمۡرِ اللّٰهِ‌ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوۡمٍ حَتّٰى يُغَيِّرُوۡا مَا بِاَنۡفُسِهِمۡ‌ؕ وَاِذَاۤ اَرَادَ اللّٰهُ بِقَوۡمٍ سُوۡۤءًا فَلَا مَرَدَّ لَهٗ‌ۚ وَمَا لَهُمۡ مِّنۡ دُوۡنِهٖ مِنۡ وَّالٍ
The basic theme of the Surah is divine guidance.
Allah has created this whole universe.
He knows what is in the wombs and every thing is under His knowledge.
He sent His prophets and guides to all people for their guidance
and now the Last Messenger has come.
کوئی تم میں سے چپکے سے بات کہے یا پکار کر یا رات کو کہیں چھپ جائے یا دن کی روشنی میں کھلم کھلا چلے پھرے (خدا کے نزدیک) برابر ہے اس کے آگے اور پیچھے خدا کے چوکیدار ہیں جو خدا کے حکم سے اس کی حفاظت کرتے ہیں۔ بے شک خدا کسی قوم کی حالت نہیں بدلتا جب تک وہ خود اپنی حالت کو نہ بدلے۔ اور جب خدا کسی قوم کے ساتھ برائی کا ارادہ کرتا ہے تو پھر وہ پھر نہیں سکتی۔ اور خدا کے سوا ان کا کوئی مددگار نہیں ہوتا
Sections:
Allah’s signs in nature.
Allah knows everything; the whole universe praises Him. Those who have eyes can see the truth. The truth has an abiding power.
The faithful and unfaithful, their characters and their ends.
The comfort of the hearts is in the remembrance of Allah. Those who deny Allah, no signs or miracles can help them.
People in the past also denied Allah’s Prophets and laughed at them, but what were their ends.
Prophet Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. The witness is Allah and all those who have the knowledge of the Scriptures of Allah.

Quran 67:12~15 (Ayah Al-Mulk)

Indeed, those in awe of their Lord without seeing Him will have forgiveness and a mighty reward. Whether you speak secretly or openly— He surely knows best what is ˹hidden˺ in the heart. How could He not know His Own creation? For He ˹alone˺ is the Most Subtle, All-Aware. He is the One Who smoothed out the earth for you, so move about in its regions and eat from His provisions. And to Him is the resurrection ˹of all˺. Quran 67:12~15 Surah al-Mulk (The Sovereignty, The Kingdom)
Al-Mulk (Arabic: الملك, “Sovereignty, Kingdom”) is the 67th chapter (surah) of the Quran, comprising 30 verses

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ یَخۡشَوۡنَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلۡغَیۡبِ لَهُم مَّغۡفِرَةࣱ وَأَجۡرࣱ كَبِیرࣱ  وَأَسِرُّوا۟ قَوۡلَكُمۡ أَوِ ٱجۡهَرُوا۟ بِهِۦۤۖ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِیمُۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ  أَلَا یَعۡلَمُ مَنۡ خَلَقَ وَهُوَ ٱللَّطِیفُ ٱلۡخَبِیرُ  هُوَ ٱلَّذِی جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ ذَلُولࣰا فَٱمۡشُوا۟ فِی مَنَاكِبِهَا وَكُلُوا۟ مِن رِّزۡقِهِۦۖ وَإِلَیۡهِ ٱلنُّشُورُ 
It talks about the greatness of Allah and beautiful universe that He has created. It reminds people that if they consider the laws of universe and travel in the land with open eyes, they will indeed see that this whole kingdom belongs to Allah and He controls everything.
Surah al-Mulk takes its name from the first Ayat, تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ “Blessed is He in whose hand is dominion, and He is over all things competent -” [67:1].
(اور) جو لوگ بن دیکھے اپنے پروردگار سے ڈرتے ہیں ان کے لئے بخشش اور اجر عظیم ہے اور تم (لوگ) بات پوشیدہ کہو یا ظاہر۔ وہ دل کے بھیدوں تک سے واقف ہے بھلا جس نے پیدا کیا وہ بےخبر ہے؟ وہ تو پوشیدہ باتوں کا جاننے والا اور (ہر چیز سے) آگاہ ہے وہی تو ہے جس نے تمہارے لئے زمین کو نرم کیا تو اس کی راہوں میں چلو پھرو اور خدا کا (دیا ہو) رزق کھاؤ اور تم کو اسی کے پاس (قبروں سے) نکل کر جانا ہے
12 Verily those who fear their Lord unseen will have forgiveness and a great reward.
13-14 God knoweth all things
15-18 God shall destroy unbelievers
