Quran 10:24

The life of this world is just like rain We send down from the sky, producing a mixture of plants which humans and animals consume. Then just as the earth looks its best, perfectly beautified, and its people think they have full control over it, there comes to it Our command by night or by day, so We mow it down as if it never flourished yesterday! This is how We make the signs clear for people who reflect. Quran 10:24 [Surah Yunus (Jonah)]
The surah is named after the Prophet Yunus [Jonah] and this is the only surah of the Qur’an to mention the ‘people of Yunus’ –
“Then has there not been a [single] city that believed so its faith benefited it except the people of Jonah?
When they believed, We removed from them the punishment of disgrace in worldly life and gave them enjoyment for a time” (10:98)
There are 109 Ayat in this Surah.

إِنَّمَا مَثَلُ ٱلۡحَیَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡیَا كَمَاۤءٍ أَنزَلۡنَـٰهُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ فَٱخۡتَلَطَ بِهِۦ نَبَاتُ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مِمَّا یَأۡكُلُ ٱلنَّاسُ وَٱلۡأَنۡعَـٰمُ حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَاۤ أَخَذَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ زُخۡرُفَهَا وَٱزَّیَّنَتۡ وَظَنَّ أَهۡلُهَاۤ أَنَّهُمۡ قَـٰدِرُونَ عَلَیۡهَاۤ أَتَىٰهَاۤ أَمۡرُنَا لَیۡلًا أَوۡ نَهَارࣰا فَجَعَلۡنَـٰهَا حَصِیدࣰا كَأَن لَّمۡ تَغۡنَ بِٱلۡأَمۡسِۚ كَذَ ٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ ٱلۡءَایَـٰتِ لِقَوۡمࣲ یَتَفَكَّرُونَ
The main subject of this Surah is faith in Allah and belief in the Hereafter.
Those who have true faith, they worship Allah and recognize Him as their Lord and Master and live their lives in accordance to His command.
Allah sent His Messengers to remind people and to warn them.
The stories of Prophets Noah and Prophet Moses with Pharaoh are told to remind people about the consequences of unfaithfulness and arrogance.
دنیا کی یہ زندگی (جس کے نشے میں مست ہو کر تم ہماری نشانیوں سے غفلت برت رہے ہو) اس کی مثال ایسی ہے جیسے آسمان سے ہم نے پانی برسایا تو زمین کی پیداوار، جسے آدمی اور جانور سب کھاتے ہیں، خوب گھنی ہو گئی، پھر عین اُس وقت جبکہ زمین اپنی بہار پر تھی اور کھیتیاں بنی سنوری کھڑی تھیں اور ان کے مالک یہ سمجھ رہے تھے کہ اب ہم ان سے فائدہ اُٹھانے پر قادر ہیں، یکایک رات کو یا دن کو ہمارا حکم آ گیا اور ہم نے اسے ایسا غارت کر کے رکھ دیا کہ گویا کل وہاں کچھ تھا ہی نہیں اس طرح ہم نشانیاں کھول کھول کر پیش کرتے ہیں اُن لوگوں کے لیے جو سوچنے سمجھنے والے ہیں
Sections:
The Qur’an is the Book of wisdom, it contains signs from the All Wise.
Man’s ingratitude to Allah and His revelation.
Allah’s mercy to His creation. Allah invites to the abode of peace.
Allah’s gifts. The Qur’an is from Allah. Bring a Surah like the Qur’an if you can.
Those who disbelieve in the Qur’an shall be the losers. Every people were sent a Messenger.
The Qur’an is a mercy, blessing and a cure for the problems of humankind.
Whatever you do Allah is a Witness. The mistakes of the Mushrikin.
The story of Prophet Noah and his people. Prophet Moses and Aaron -peace be upon them all.
Allah delivered the Children of Israel from the bondage of the Pharaoh.
Allah’s mercy for the Children of Israel. Prophet Yunus and his people.
If Allah afflicts you with any loss or wants to bestow any profit on you, none can avert it. You must always follow Allah’s guidance.

Quran 86:8~10

He [who thus creates man in the first instance] is well able to bring him back [to life] on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare and [man] will have neither strength nor helper Quran 86:8~10 at-Tariq (The Morning Star, The Nightcomer)
The Surah takes its name from the first Ayat, وَالسَّمَاءِ وَالطَّارِقِ “By the sky and the night comer -” [86:1]
There are 17 Ayat in this Surah.

إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَجۡعِهِۦ لَقَادِرࣱ یَوۡمَ تُبۡلَى ٱلسَّرَاۤىِٕرُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن قُوَّةࣲ وَلَا نَاصِرࣲ
Every thing in this universe is working under the protection and supervision of Allah.
The creation of human beings as well as the creation of this universe is not a joke.
The creation is a serious work of Allah and so is His word, the Qur’an.
یقیناً وہ (خالق) اُسے (انسان کو) دوبارہ پیدا کرنے پر قادر ہے جس روز پوشیدہ باتوں کی جانچ پڑتال ہوگی اُس وقت انسان کے پاس نہ خود اپنا کوئی زور ہوگا اور نہ کوئی اس کی مدد کرنے والا ہوگا
It discuses two themes:
first, that man has to appear before God after death;
second, that the Qur’an is a decisive Word which no plan or device of the disbelievers can defeat or frustrate

Quran 6:161~162

Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Surely my Lord has guided me to the Straight Path, a perfect way, the faith of Abraham, the upright, who was not one of the polytheists.” Say, “Surely my prayer, my worship, my life, and my death are all for Allah— Lord of all worlds. Quran: 6:161~162 [al-An`am (Cattle, Livestock)]
The name of the chapter [006] is al-An’am [Cattle] and it consists of 165 Verses.
قُلۡ إِنَّنِی هَدَىٰنِی رَبِّیۤ إِلَىٰ صِرَ ٰطࣲ مُّسۡتَقِیمࣲ دِینࣰا قِیَمࣰا مِّلَّةَ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ حَنِیفࣰاۚ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِینَ قُلۡ إِنَّ صَلَاتِی وَنُسُكِی وَمَحۡیَایَ وَمَمَاتِی لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ
In this Surah the message of Tawhid is highly emphasized. It contains basic principles of Tawhid. It gives beautiful descriptions of Allah’s creative power. It criticizes Shirk and its manifestations. Basic topics discussed here are:
Oneness of Allah is the reality in this universe.
Polytheism has no foundation.
Prophet Ibrahim – peace be upon him – preached Tawhid. Other Prophets also gave the same message.
Allah’s judgment will come and the truth will prevail.
Allah gives right guidance about food and other matters of life.
اے محمدؐ! کہہ دو کہ مجھے میرے پروردگار نے سیدھا رستہ دکھا دیا ہے (یعنی دین صحیح) مذہب ابراہیم کا جو ایک (خدا) ہی کی طرف کے تھے اور مشرکوں میں سے نہ تھے (یہ بھی) کہہ دو اے محمدؐ! کہ میری نماز اور میری عبادت اور میرا جینا اور میرا مرنا سب خدائے رب العالمین ہی کے لیے ہے
Sections:
Allah created the heaven and earth but the non-believers call others equal to Allah.
Allah’s punishment came upon those who denied the truth.
On the Day of Judgment the Mushrikin will admit their guilt.
Those who deny the Hereafter they are the real losers. Non-believers ridiculed Allah’s Prophets, but in the end the truth prevailed.
Nations were warned before. Allah did try them in various ways.
Believers should be respected
Allah is the Final judge and He will decide the destiny of the individuals or nations.
Allah’s majesty, power and might
Prophet Ibrahim’s arguments against Shirk.
Other Prophets also gave the message of Tawhid.
Allah’s revelation to His Prophets.
Allah’s signs in the creation.
Allah has no partner, no son.
Arrogance of the non-believers and their opposition to the Prophets. Do not eat the animals slaughtered in the name of any one other than Allah.
Those who plot against Allah, they suffer themselves.
Superstitions of the Mushrikin.
Allah’s gifts for humanity and people’s self-imposed prohibitions.
What are the things that Allah has forbidden?
Universal principles of Islam.
The true religion: prayer, sacrifice, life, death, everything must be for Allah.

Quran 14:1~3

Alif-Lãm-Ra. ˹This is˺ a Book which We have revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ so that you may lead people out of darkness and into light, by the Will of their Lord, to the Path of the Almighty, the Praiseworthy—Allah, to Whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And woe to the disbelievers because of a severe torment! ˹They are˺ the ones who favour the life of this world over the Hereafter and hinder ˹others˺ from the Way of Allah, striving to make it ˹appear˺ crooked. It is they who have gone far astray. Quran 14:1~3 Surah Ibrahim (Abraham)
The Surah derives its name from Ibrahim, the father of all prophets who came after him.
There are 52 ayat in this Surah.

الۤرۚ كِتَـٰبٌ أَنزَلۡنَـٰهُ إِلَیۡكَ لِتُخۡرِجَ ٱلنَّاسَ مِنَ ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ بِإِذۡنِ رَبِّهِمۡ إِلَىٰ صِرَ ٰطِ ٱلۡعَزِیزِ ٱلۡحَمِیدِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِی لَهُۥ مَا فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَمَا فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ وَوَیۡلࣱ لِّلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ مِنۡ عَذَابࣲ شَدِیدٍ ٱلَّذِینَ یَسۡتَحِبُّونَ ٱلۡحَیَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡیَا عَلَى ٱلۡءَاخِرَةِ وَیَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِ وَیَبۡغُونَهَا عِوَجًاۚ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ فِی ضَلَـٰلِۭ بَعِیدࣲ
The basic theme of the Surah is Allah’s guidance through His prophets. The purpose of this guidance is to take the people from darkness to light. Many people in the past had doubts about their prophets.They laughed at them and they threatened to kill them or expel them from their towns. However, the lasting word is the “good word.” The Surah also mentions Prophet Ibrahim’s prayer when he established the city of Makkah.
ا ل ر اے محمدؐ، یہ ایک کتاب ہے جس کو ہم نے تمہاری طرف نازل کیا ہے تاکہ تم لوگوں کو تاریکیوں سے نکال کر روشنی میں لاؤ، ان کے رب کی توفیق سے، اُس خدا کے راستے پر جو زبردست اور اپنی ذات میں آپ محمود ہے اور زمین اور آسمانوں کی ساری موجودات کا مالک ہے اور سخت تباہ کن سزا ہے قبول حق سے انکار کرنے والوں کے لیے جو دنیا کی زندگی کو آخرت پر ترجیح دیتے ہیں، جو اللہ کے راستے سے لوگوں کو روک رہے ہیں اور چاہتے ہیں کہ یہ راستہ (ان کی خواہشات کے مطابق) ٹیٹرھا ہو جائے یہ لوگ گمراہی میں بہت دور نکل گئے ہیں
Sections:
The purpose of the Qur’an is to lead humankind to light.
Prophets and their people.
Non-believers threatened the Prophets, but Allah’s promise to the Prophets.
Satan misleads the disbelievers in this world, but in the hereafter he would leave them in the lurch.
The ingratitude of people
Prophet Ibrahim’s prayer for Makkah, for its people and for his own children
Allah is aware of what the wrongdoers are doing, their respite and end.

Quran 92:12~21

It is certainly upon Us ˹alone˺ to show ˹the way to˺ guidance. And surely to Us ˹alone˺ belong this life and the next. And so I have warned you of a raging Fire, in which none will burn except the most wretched— who deny and turn away. But the righteous will be spared from it— who donate ˹some of˺ their wealth only to purify themselves, not in return for someone’s favours, but seeking the pleasure of their Lord, the Most High. They will certainly be pleased. Quran 92:12~21 [ Surah al-Layl , The Night ]
The Surah takes its name from the first Ayat,
وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ “By the night when it covers” [92:1].

إِنَّ عَلَیۡنَا لَلۡهُدَىٰ وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلۡءَاخِرَةَ وَٱلۡأُولَىٰ فَأَنذَرۡتُكُمۡ نَارࣰا تَلَظَّىٰ لَا یَصۡلَىٰهَاۤ إِلَّا ٱلۡأَشۡقَى ٱلَّذِی كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ وَسَیُجَنَّبُهَا ٱلۡأَتۡقَى ٱلَّذِی یُؤۡتِی مَالَهُۥ یَتَزَكَّىٰ وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُۥ مِن نِّعۡمَةࣲ تُجۡزَىٰۤ إِلَّا ٱبۡتِغَاۤءَ وَجۡهِ رَبِّهِ ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰ وَلَسَوۡفَ یَرۡضَىٰ
It has basically the same theme as the previous Surah,
but it tells us about the two ways of life:
good way and evil way and the consequences of both ways.
بے شک راستہ بتانا ہمارے ذمہ ہے اور درحقیقت آخرت اور دنیا، دونوں کے ہم ہی مالک ہیں پس میں نے تم کو خبردار کر دیا ہے بھڑکتی ہوئی آگ سے اُس میں نہیں جھلسے گا مگر وہ انتہائی بد بخت جس نے جھٹلایا اور منہ پھیرا اور اُس سے دور رکھا جائیگا وہ نہایت پرہیزگار جو پاکیزہ ہونے کی خاطر اپنا مال دیتا ہے اُس پر کسی کا کوئی احسان نہیں ہے جس کا بدلہ اُسے دینا ہو وہ تو صرف اپنے رب برتر کی رضا جوئی کے لیے یہ کام کرتا ہے اور ضرور وہ (اُس سے) خوش ہوگا
Its theme is to distinguish between the two different ways of life and to explain the contrast between their ultimate ends and results. In view of the subject matter this Surah consists of two parts, the first part consisting of v. 1-11 and the second of v. 12-21.

Quran 2:212

The life of this world has been made appealing to the disbelievers, and they mock the believers. Those who are mindful ˹of Allah˺ will rank above them on the Day of Judgment. And Allah provides for whoever He wills without limit. Quran 2:212
Al-Baqara, alternatively transliterated Al-Baqarah (Arabic: البقرة, ’al-baqarah; lit. “The Heifer” or “The Cow”), is the second and longest chapter (surah) of the Quran. It consists of 286 verses (āyāt)

زُیِّنَ لِلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ ٱلۡحَیَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡیَا وَیَسۡخَرُونَ مِنَ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ۘ وَٱلَّذِینَ ٱتَّقَوۡا۟ فَوۡقَهُمۡ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِۗ وَٱللَّهُ یَرۡزُقُ مَن یَشَاۤءُ بِغَیۡرِ حِسَابࣲ
The surah encompasses a variety of topics and contains several commands for Muslims such as enjoining fasting on the believer during the month of Ramadan; forbidding interest or usury (riba); and several famous verses such as The Throne Verse, Al-Baqara 256, and the final two or three verses. The surah addresses a wide variety of topics, including substantial amounts of law, and retells stories of Adam, Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). A major theme is guidance: urging the pagans (Al-Mushrikeen) and the Jews of Medina to embrace Islam, and warning them and the hypocrites (Munafiqun) of the fate God had visited in the past on those who failed to heed his call.
اور جو کافر ہیں ان کے لئے دنیا کی زندگی خوشنما کر دی گئی ہے اور وہ مومنوں سے تمسخر کرتے ہیں لیکن جو پرہیز گار ہیں وہ قیامت کے دن ان پر غالب ہوں گے اور خدا جس کو چاہتا ہے بےشمار رزق دیتا ہے
Sections:
The Book of Guidance for those who want to be righteous. The difference between the believers and the non-believers.
The hypocrites: their sickness, mischief and self-deception.
Mankind, worship Allah alone. Make no partners in Allah’s divinity. The challenge of the Qur’an. This Book will guide many but many will remain in error. The character of those who shall remain in error.
The story of the creation of Adam. Allah’s plan and promise to send His guidance from time to time through His prophets.
Address to Bani Israel to accept this message. Allah’s covenant must be fulfilled.
Warnings to those who stray from the covenant of God. How some from among the Children of Israel turned away from God’s teachings.
God’s blessings on the Children of Israel and their transgressions.
The real recipients of Divine salvation. The hesitation of Bani Israel in sacrificing the cow.
Some perversions of those who were supposed to follow the law of God.
Basic principles of God’s Covenant with the Children of Israel.
Some of them were arrogant to follow the teachings of their prophets, some rejected the prophets or tried to kill them, some worshipped the calf, disobeyed God’s commands and became too greedy for the life of this world.
Opposition and enmity towards the Prophets, following devils and magic.
Reminders to the Believers to follow these examples. Stay firm on your principles. Some among the People of the Book will try to mislead you with false claims and assertions.
The true guidance of Allah is here. Read the Book of Allah and follow it.
The great example of Prophet Ibrahim. He and his son built the Ka’bah and prayed for a Prophet to come.
Prophet Ibrahim –peace be upon him- submitted to Allah and this is the message that he and his sons gave to their progeny.
The change of Qiblah and the response of the hypocrites and fools. Those who have knowledge know that this is the true Qiblah of all the Prophets.
Follow this direction wherever you are. This is the universal Qiblah for all.
Believers will be tried but they should be firm and steadfast and must face the trials with patience and prayers.
Allah’s signs and His bounties are everywhere. The polytheists and idolaters are misplacing their loyalties.
Believers should eat good and permissible food and should never follow the steps of the devil.
The true piety and righteousness. Some rules related to the punishment of murderers. The rules of bequests.
Fasting and Ramadan: the objective of fasting and some rules.
Rules of Hajj, fighting those who expelled Muslims from their homes.
No fighting during Hajj, rather seek God’s bounty when you return from Hajj.
Appreciate God’s bounties. All human beings were originally one community. Divisions came later. Be generous and defend your self and your faith.
Some important questions answered: War in the sacred months, wine and gambling, charity, orphans’ money, divorced women and their situation.
The laws of divorce
Continuation of the laws of divorce.
Rules on the remarriage of the divorced women or the widowers.
Further rules of divorce
Fighting in the cause of God: Israelites
Under the leadership of Prophet David the victory came over the forces of Goliath.
Emphasis on charity. To Allah belong everything. His Throne extends to heaven and earth. No compulsion in religion. Allah brings out people from darkness unto light.
Allah’s power over life and death, some examples: Prophet Ibrahim’s dialogue with Namrood, a man in the valley of dead (probably Prophet Ezekiel’s vision of Jerusalem), Prophet Ibrahim asks Allah how will He raise the dead to life. Allah’s answer to Prophet Ibrahim.
Allah blesses charity: some examples of how Allah blesses charity
Emphasis on charity: spend good things, give openly and secretly to the poor and needy.
Prohibition of usuary (riba) and its bad effects on individuals and society
Some rules on loan transactions
Conclusion and prayer: Everything in the heaven and earth belong to Allah, the prayer of the believers.

Quran 20:124~127

But whoever turns away from My Reminder will certainly have a miserable life, then We will raise them up blind on the Day of Judgment.” They will cry, “My Lord! Why have you raised me up blind, although I used to see?” Allah will respond, “It is so, just as Our revelations came to you and you neglected them, so Today you are neglected.” This is how We reward whoever transgresses and does not believe in the revelations of their Lord. And the punishment of the Hereafter is far more severe and more lasting. Quran 20:124~127 Surah Ta Ha
Surah TaHa takes its name after the disjointed letters from the first Ayat.
It has 135 ayat.

وَمَنۡ أَعۡرَضَ عَن ذِكۡرِی فَإِنَّ لَهُۥ مَعِیشَةࣰ ضَنكࣰا وَنَحۡشُرُهُۥ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ أَعۡمَىٰ قَالَ رَبِّ لِمَ حَشَرۡتَنِیۤ أَعۡمَىٰ وَقَدۡ كُنتُ بَصِیرࣰا قَالَ كَذَ ٰلِكَ أَتَتۡكَ ءَایَـٰتُنَا فَنَسِیتَهَاۖ وَكَذَ ٰلِكَ ٱلۡیَوۡمَ تُنسَىٰ وَكَذَ ٰلِكَ نَجۡزِی مَنۡ أَسۡرَفَ وَلَمۡ یُؤۡمِنۢ بِءَایَـٰتِ رَبِّهِۦۚ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلۡءَاخِرَةِ أَشَدُّ وَأَبۡقَىٰۤ
The subject matter of the Surah is to assure the Prophet and his followers that the message of the Qur’an will eventually succeed. The story of Prophet Moses is mentioned in detail. Then it is mentioned how the enemies of Islam are opposing it and what will be the consequences of this opposition for them.
اور جو میری نصیحت سے منہ پھیرے گا اس کی زندگی تنگ ہوجائے گی اور قیامت کو ہم اسے اندھا کرکے اٹھائیں گے وہ کہے گا میرے پروردگار تو نے مجھے اندھا کرکے کیوں اٹھایا میں تو دیکھتا بھالتا تھا خدا فرمائے گا کہ ایسا ہی (چاہیئے تھا) تیرے پاس میری آیتیں آئیں تو تونے ان کو بھلا دیا۔ اسی طرح آج ہم تجھ کو بھلا دیں گے اور جو شخص حد سے نکل جائے اور اپنے پروردگار کی آیتوں پر ایمان نہ لائے ہم اس کو ایسا ہی بدلہ دیتے ہیں۔ اور آخرت کا عذاب بہت سخت اور بہت دیر رہنے والا ہے
Sections:
Prophet Muhammad is told not to feel distress because of the denial of the unbeleivers. Allah knows everything. Remember the story of Moses. Allah called him to the Prophethood and gave him special signs.
Prophet Moses’ prayer. Allah commanded Moses and his brother Aaron to go to Pharaoh and give him the message. Allah mentions His favors upon Moses.
Prophet Moses goes to Pharaoh. The challenge with the Egyptian magicians. The defeat of the magicians and then their conversion.
Allah saved the Children of Israel from Pharaoh. Prophet Moses goes to Sinai. Samiri misleads the Israelites and they worship the calf.
The anger of Prophet Moses. Samiri confessed his evil action and he was punished.
The Day of Judgment. No intercession will help without Allah’s permission. The opponents of the Prophet.
Devil misleads human beings. Some references to the story of Adam and Iblis.
The evil doers will be punished. Be patient and offer regular prayers.

Quran 7:57~58

He is the One Who sends the winds ushering in His mercy. When they bear heavy clouds, We drive them to a lifeless land and then cause rain to fall, producing every type of fruit. Similarly, We will bring the dead to life, so perhaps you will be mindful. The fertile land produces abundantly by the Will of its Lord, whereas the infertile land hardly produces anything. This is how We vary ˹Our˺ lessons to those who are thankful. Quran 7:57~58
The Surah is named after the story of the men awaiting on the “Elevations” between Paradise and Hell.
It comprises of 206 Ayat.

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِی یُرۡسِلُ ٱلرِّیَـٰحَ بُشۡرَۢا بَیۡنَ یَدَیۡ رَحۡمَتِهِۦۖ حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَاۤ أَقَلَّتۡ سَحَابࣰا ثِقَالࣰا سُقۡنَـٰهُ لِبَلَدࣲ مَّیِّتࣲ فَأَنزَلۡنَا بِهِ ٱلۡمَاۤءَ فَأَخۡرَجۡنَا بِهِۦ مِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَ ٰتِۚ كَذَ ٰلِكَ نُخۡرِجُ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَذَكَّرُونَ وَٱلۡبَلَدُ ٱلطَّیِّبُ یَخۡرُجُ نَبَاتُهُۥ بِإِذۡنِ رَبِّهِۦۖ وَٱلَّذِی خَبُثَ لَا یَخۡرُجُ إِلَّا نَكِدࣰاۚ كَذَ ٰلِكَ نُصَرِّفُ ٱلۡءَایَـٰتِ لِقَوۡمࣲ یَشۡكُرُونَ
The basic theme of this Surah is Risalah, i.e. Allah’s message as it was sent through many messengers. Several Prophets and parts of their stories are mentioned to emphasize Prophets’ mission and their struggle with their people.
The Surah tells us that Allah’s Prophets suffered for the cause of truth.
Their enemies tried to harm them, but then Allah helped his prophets and defeated their enemies.
The Surah emphasizes that the true message must be presented under all circumstances.
After the Prophets it is the duty of the Believers to convey the message of Allah to all people.
اور وہی تو ہے جو اپنی رحمت (یعنی مینھ) سے پہلے ہواؤں کو خوشخبری (بنا کر) بھیجتا ہے۔ یہاں تک کہ جب وہ بھاری بھاری بادلوں کو اٹھا لاتی ہے تو ہم اس کو ایک مری ہوئی بستی کی طرف ہانک دیتے ہیں۔ پھر بادل سے مینھ برساتے ہیں۔ پھر مینھ سے ہر طرح کے پھل پیدا کرتے ہیں۔ اسی طرح ہم مردوں کو (زمین سے) زندہ کرکے باہر نکال لیں گے۔ (یہ آیات اس لیے بیان کی جاتی ہیں) تاکہ تم نصیحت پکڑو جو زمین پاکیزہ (ہے) اس میں سے سبزہ بھی پروردگار کے حکم سے (نفیس ہی) نکلتا ہے اور جو خراب ہے اس میں جو کچھ ہے ناقص ہوتا ہے۔ اسی طرح ہم آیتوں کو شکرگزار لوگوں کے لئے پھیر پھیر کر بیان کرتے ہیں

Warning to the Children of Adam to be aware of Satan’s plots.
Allah’s messengers came to guide people.
The end of those who denied the message and those who accepted the message.
Cries of the wicked in the hellfire.
The righteous will prosper.
Some lessons from the story of Prophet Noah – peace be upon him.
Some lessons from the story of Prophet Hud- peace be upon him.
Some lessons from the story of Prophets Salih and Lot – peace be upon them.
Some lessons from the story of Prophet Shu’aib – peace be upon him.
Warnings against those who deny the Prophets and Messengers of Allah.
Prophet Moses -peace be upon him- and his encounter with Pharaoh of Egypt.
Pharaoh and his magicians were defeated.
Pharaoh continued in his persecution of the Israelites.
Some more signs were shown to Pharaoh and his people.
The Torah was given to Prophet Moses- peace be upon him.
Some Israelites started Calf worship.
The Torah and Injil speak about the coming of Prophet Muhammad (saw). Allah’s promise for those who will follow the last Prophet.
Prophet Muhammad is the Universal Prophet. Some among the people of Prophet Moses were guided by the truth and lived with justice.
Some Israelites transgressed Allah’s laws and they suffered the consequences.
The eternal covenant of Allah was taken from all human beings.
The coming of the Last Hour
Shirk has no logic. Ignore the wrongdoers, but invite to Allah with kindness.
