The basic theme of this Surah is Risalah, i.e. Allah’s message as it was sent through many messengers. Several Prophets and parts of their stories are mentioned to emphasize Prophets’ mission and their struggle with their people.
The Surah tells us that Allah’s Prophets suffered for the cause of truth.
Their enemies tried to harm them, but then Allah helped his prophets and defeated their enemies.
The Surah emphasizes that the true message must be presented under all circumstances.
After the Prophets it is the duty of the Believers to convey the message of Allah to all people.

Every thing in this universe is working under the protection and supervision of Allah.
The creation of human beings as well as the creation of this universe is not a joke.
The creation is a serious work of Allah and so is His word, the Qur’an.

It discuses two themes:
first, that man has to appear before God after death;
second, that the Qur’an is a decisive Word which no plan or device of the disbelievers can defeat or frustrate

Quran 9:75~78

And there are some who had made a vow to Allah: “If He gives us from His bounty, we will surely spend in charity and be of the righteous.”But when He gave them out of His bounty, they withheld it and turned away indifferently.So He caused hypocrisy to plague their hearts until the Day they will meet Him, for breaking their promise to Allah and for their lies.Do they not know that Allah ˹fully˺ knows their ˹evil˺ thoughts and secret talks, and that Allah is the Knower of all unseen ?QURAN 9:75~78(Surah at-Taubah, The Repentance)

This is the only Sūrah of the Qur’ān to which ‘In the Name of God, Most Gracious Most Merciful’ is not prefixed. Though the commentators have given different reasons for this, the correct one that which has been given by Imām Razi: namely this is because the Prophet himself did not dictate it at the beginning of the Sūrah. Therefore the Companions did not prefix it and their successors followed them. This is a further proof of the fact that utmost care has been taken to keep the Qur’ān intact so that it should remain in its complete and original form.
The basic subjects of the Surah are: The non-believers who broke their treaties, Muslims have no obligation to honor treaties with them. Muslims must protect themselves from hypocrisy, weak faith and negligence. Battle of Tabuk and its lessons.

Sections:

Quran 13:10~11

It is the same ˹to Him˺ whether any of you speaks secretly or openly, whether one hides in the darkness of night or goes about in broad daylight.For each one there are successive angels before and behind, protecting them by Allah’s command. Indeed, Allah would never change a people’s state ˹of favour˺ until they change their own state ˹of faith˺. And if it is Allah’s Will to torment a people, it can never be averted, nor can they find a protector other than Him.Quran 13:10~11
