Quran 14:40~41

My Lord ! Make me and those ˹believers˺ of my descendants keep up prayer. Our Lord! Accept my prayers. Our Lord ! Forgive me, my parents, and the believers on the Day when the judgment will come to pass.” Quran 14:40~41 Surah Ibrahim (Abraham) Supplication of Prophet Ibrahim (A.S)
The Surah derives its name from Ibrahim, the father of all prophets who came after him.
There are 52 ayat in this Surah.

رَبِّ ٱجۡعَلۡنِی مُقِیمَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَمِن ذُرِّیَّتِیۚ رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلۡ دُعَاۤءِ رَبَّنَا ٱغۡفِرۡ لِی وَلِوَ ٰلِدَیَّ وَلِلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ یَوۡمَ یَقُومُ ٱلۡحِسَابُ
The basic theme of the Surah is Allah’s guidance through His prophets.
The purpose of this guidance is to take the people from darkness to light.
Many people in the past had doubts about their prophets.
They laughed at them and they threatened to kill them or expel them from their towns.
However, the lasting word is the “good word.”
The Surah also mentions Prophet Ibrahim’s prayer when he established the city of Makkah.
اے میرے پروردگار، مجھے نماز قائم کرنے والا بنا اور میری اولاد سے بھی (ایسے لوگ اٹھا جو یہ کام کریں) پروردگار، میری دعا قبول کر پروردگار، مجھے اور میرے والدین کو اور سب ایمان لانے والوں کو اُس دن معاف کر دیجیو جبکہ حساب قائم ہوگا"
Sections:
The purpose of the Qur’an is to lead humankind to light.
Prophets and their people.
Non-believers threatened the Prophets, but Allah’s promise to the Prophets.
Satan misleads the disbelievers in this world, but in the hereafter he would leave them in the lurch.
The ingratitude of people
Prophet Ibrahim’s prayer for Makkah, for its people and for his own children
Allah is aware of what the wrongdoers are doing, their respite and end.

Quran 6:161~162

Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Surely my Lord has guided me to the Straight Path, a perfect way, the faith of Abraham, the upright, who was not one of the polytheists.” Say, “Surely my prayer, my worship, my life, and my death are all for Allah— Lord of all worlds. Quran: 6:161~162 [al-An`am (Cattle, Livestock)]
The name of the chapter [006] is al-An’am [Cattle] and it consists of 165 Verses.
قُلۡ إِنَّنِی هَدَىٰنِی رَبِّیۤ إِلَىٰ صِرَ ٰطࣲ مُّسۡتَقِیمࣲ دِینࣰا قِیَمࣰا مِّلَّةَ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ حَنِیفࣰاۚ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِینَ قُلۡ إِنَّ صَلَاتِی وَنُسُكِی وَمَحۡیَایَ وَمَمَاتِی لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ
In this Surah the message of Tawhid is highly emphasized. It contains basic principles of Tawhid. It gives beautiful descriptions of Allah’s creative power. It criticizes Shirk and its manifestations. Basic topics discussed here are:
Oneness of Allah is the reality in this universe.
Polytheism has no foundation.
Prophet Ibrahim – peace be upon him – preached Tawhid. Other Prophets also gave the same message.
Allah’s judgment will come and the truth will prevail.
Allah gives right guidance about food and other matters of life.
اے محمدؐ! کہہ دو کہ مجھے میرے پروردگار نے سیدھا رستہ دکھا دیا ہے (یعنی دین صحیح) مذہب ابراہیم کا جو ایک (خدا) ہی کی طرف کے تھے اور مشرکوں میں سے نہ تھے (یہ بھی) کہہ دو اے محمدؐ! کہ میری نماز اور میری عبادت اور میرا جینا اور میرا مرنا سب خدائے رب العالمین ہی کے لیے ہے
Sections:
Allah created the heaven and earth but the non-believers call others equal to Allah.
Allah’s punishment came upon those who denied the truth.
On the Day of Judgment the Mushrikin will admit their guilt.
Those who deny the Hereafter they are the real losers. Non-believers ridiculed Allah’s Prophets, but in the end the truth prevailed.
Nations were warned before. Allah did try them in various ways.
Believers should be respected
Allah is the Final judge and He will decide the destiny of the individuals or nations.
Allah’s majesty, power and might
Prophet Ibrahim’s arguments against Shirk.
Other Prophets also gave the message of Tawhid.
Allah’s revelation to His Prophets.
Allah’s signs in the creation.
Allah has no partner, no son.
Arrogance of the non-believers and their opposition to the Prophets. Do not eat the animals slaughtered in the name of any one other than Allah.
Those who plot against Allah, they suffer themselves.
Superstitions of the Mushrikin.
Allah’s gifts for humanity and people’s self-imposed prohibitions.
What are the things that Allah has forbidden?
Universal principles of Islam.
The true religion: prayer, sacrifice, life, death, everything must be for Allah.

Quran 22:26~30(P)

English: ‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏And ˹remember˺ when We assigned to Abraham the site of the House, ˹saying,˺ “Do not associate anything with Me ˹in worship˺ and purify My House for those who circle ˹the Ka’bah˺, stand ˹in prayer˺, and bow and prostrate themselves. Call ˹all˺ people to the pilgrimage. They will come to you on foot and on every lean camel from every distant path, so they may obtain the benefits ˹in store˺ for them, and pronounce the Name of Allah on appointed days over the sacrificial animals He has provided for them. So eat from their meat and feed the desperately poor. Then let them groom themselves, fulfil their vows, and circle the Ancient House.” That is so. And whoever honours the rituals of Allah, it is best for them in the sight of their Lord Quran 22:26~30 (partial) Surah al-Hajj
Named after the obligation of the pilgrimage to Makkah – The Hajj.
The word ‘Hajj’ is only mentioned once in this Surah, وَأَذِّن فِي النَّاسِ بِالْحَجِّ يَأْتُوكَ رِجَالًا وَعَلَىٰ كُلِّ ضَامِرٍ يَأْتِينَ مِن كُلِّ فَجٍّ عَمِيقٍ “And proclaim to the people the Hajj [pilgrimage]; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every distant pass -” [22:27]
There are 78 Ayat in this Surah.

وَإِذۡ بَوَّأۡنَا لِإِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ مَكَانَ ٱلۡبَیۡتِ أَن لَّا تُشۡرِكۡ بِی شَیۡءࣰا وَطَهِّرۡ بَیۡتِیَ لِلطَّاۤىِٕفِینَ وَٱلۡقَاۤىِٕمِینَ وَٱلرُّكَّعِ ٱلسُّجُودِ وَأَذِّن فِی ٱلنَّاسِ بِٱلۡحَجِّ یَأۡتُوكَ رِجَالࣰا وَعَلَىٰ كُلِّ ضَامِرࣲ یَأۡتِینَ مِن كُلِّ فَجٍّ عَمِیقࣲ لِّیَشۡهَدُوا۟ مَنَـٰفِعَ لَهُمۡ وَیَذۡكُرُوا۟ ٱسۡمَ ٱللَّهِ فِیۤ أَیَّامࣲ مَّعۡلُومَـٰتٍ عَلَىٰ مَا رَزَقَهُم مِّنۢ بَهِیمَةِ ٱلۡأَنۡعَـٰمِۖ فَكُلُوا۟ مِنۡهَا وَأَطۡعِمُوا۟ ٱلۡبَاۤىِٕسَ ٱلۡفَقِیرَ ثُمَّ لۡیَقۡضُوا۟ تَفَثَهُمۡ وَلۡیُوفُوا۟ نُذُورَهُمۡ وَلۡیَطَّوَّفُوا۟ بِٱلۡبَیۡتِ ٱلۡعَتِیقِ ذَ ٰلِكَۖ وَمَن یُعَظِّمۡ حُرُمَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَهُوَ خَیۡرࣱ لَّهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦۗ
The Surah reminds about the approaching end of the world, need for the firmness of faith to support the truth and to eradicate the evil. It talks about prayers, humbleness and sacrifice, respect of the Ka’bah, the House of Allah, and striving to defend the truth.
یاد کرو وہ وقت جب ہم نے ابراہیمؑ کے لیے اِس گھر (خانہ کعبہ) کی جگہ تجویز کی تھی (اِس ہدایت کے ساتھ) کہ "میرے ساتھ کسی چیز کو شریک نہ کرو، اور میرے گھر کو طواف کرنے والوں اور قیام و رکوع و سجود کرنے والوں کے لیے پاک رکھو اور لوگوں کو حج کے لیے اذنِ عام دے دو کہ وہ تمہارے پاس ہر دور دراز مقام سے پیدل اور اونٹوں پر سوار آئیں تاکہ وہ فائدے دیکھیں جو یہاں اُن کے لیے رکھے گئے ہیں اور چند مقرر دنوں میں اُن جانوروں پر اللہ کا نام لیں جو اُس نے انہیں بخشے ہیں، خود بھی کھائیں اور تنگ دست محتاج کو بھی دیں پھر اپنا میل کچیل دور کریں اور اپنی نذریں پوری کریں، اور اس قدیم گھر کا طواف کریں یہ تھا (تعمیر کعبہ کا مقصد) اور جو کوئی اللہ کی قائم کردہ حرمتوں کا احترام کرے تو یہ اس کے رب کے نزدیک خود اسی کے لیے بہتر ہے

The Shaking of the Last Hour. Arguments for the Resurrection from the stages of human creation and from the rain that produces vegetation.
The marginal Muslims and their end.
The true believers shall be rewarded.
Pilgrimage to the House of Allah.
Respect of the Symbols of Allah.
The permission of fighting back is granted to those to whom wrong is done.
Satan’s enticements and Allah’s especial protection of His words.
The reward of those who migrate in the cause of Allah.
Allah’s order prevails in the heaven and earth.
The Muslim community is chosen by Allah for a special purpose.

Quran 60:3~4

Neither your relatives nor children will benefit you on Judgment Day— He will decide between you ˹all˺. For Allah is All-Seeing of what you do. You already have an excellent example in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, “We totally dissociate ourselves from you and ˹shun˺ whatever ˹idols˺ you worship besides Allah. We reject you. The enmity and hatred that has arisen between us and you will last until you believe in Allah alone.” The only exception is when Abraham said to his father, “I will seek forgiveness for you,˹” adding, “ but˺ I cannot protect you from Allah at all.” ˹The believers prayed,˺ “Our Lord! In You we trust. And to You we ˹always˺ turn. And to You is the final return. Quran 60:3~4
Al-Mumtaḥanah (Arabic: الممتحنة, translated “She That Is To Be Examined”, “Examining Her”) is the 60th chapter (sura) of the Quran,
a Medinan sura with 13 verses.

لَن تَنفَعَكُمۡ أَرۡحَامُكُمۡ وَلَاۤ أَوۡلَـٰدُكُمۡۚ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ یَفۡصِلُ بَیۡنَكُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ بَصِیرࣱ قَدۡ كَانَتۡ لَكُمۡ أُسۡوَةٌ حَسَنَةࣱ فِیۤ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ وَٱلَّذِینَ مَعَهُۥۤ إِذۡ قَالُوا۟ لِقَوۡمِهِمۡ إِنَّا بُرَءَ ٰۤؤُا۟ مِنكُمۡ وَمِمَّا تَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ كَفَرۡنَا بِكُمۡ وَبَدَا بَیۡنَنَا وَبَیۡنَكُمُ ٱلۡعَدَ ٰوَةُ وَٱلۡبَغۡضَاۤءُ أَبَدًا حَتَّىٰ تُؤۡمِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَحۡدَهُۥۤ إِلَّا قَوۡلَ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ لِأَبِیهِ لَأَسۡتَغۡفِرَنَّ لَكَ وَمَاۤ أَمۡلِكُ لَكَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن شَیۡءࣲۖ رَّبَّنَا عَلَیۡكَ تَوَكَّلۡنَا وَإِلَیۡكَ أَنَبۡنَا وَإِلَیۡكَ ٱلۡمَصِیرُ
The Surah deals with the relations of Muslims with non-Muslims. It tells Muslims on the one hand not to take the enemies of Allah as their allies and patrons, but on the other hand it tells them not to consider every non-Muslim as their enemy.
قیامت کے دن نہ تمہارے رشتے ناتے کام آئیں گے اور نہ اولاد۔ اس روز وہی تم میں فیصلہ کرے گا۔ اور جو کچھ تم کرتے ہو خدا اس کو دیکھتا ہے تمہیں ابراہیم اور ان کے رفقاء کی نیک چال چلنی (ضرور) ہے۔ جب انہوں نے اپنی قوم کے لوگوں سے کہا کہ ہم تم سے اور ان (بتوں) سے جن کو تم خدا کے سوا پوجتے ہو بےتعلق ہیں (اور) تمہارے (معبودوں کے کبھی) قائل نہیں (ہوسکتے) اور جب تک تم خدائے واحد اور ایمان نہ لاؤ ہم میں تم میں ہمیشہ کھلم کھلا عداوت اور دشمنی رہے گی۔ ہاں ابراہیمؑ نے اپنے باپ سے یہ (ضرور) کہا کہ میں آپ کے لئے مغفرت مانگوں گا اور خدا کے سامنے آپ کے بارے میں کسی چیز کا کچھ اختیار نہیں رکھتا۔ اے ہمارے پروردگار تجھ ہی پر ہمارا بھروسہ ہے اور تیری ہی طرف ہم رجوع کرتے ہیں اور تیرے ہی حضور میں (ہمیں) لوٹ کر آنا ہے
Sections:
Do not take Allah’s and your own enemies as your patrons and allies.
It is allowed to have friendly relations with those non-Muslims who do not fight you in your religion and do not expel you from your lands. Some rules related to women who migrated to Madinah and their husbands had not accepted Islam

Quran 43:26~28

˹Remember, O Prophet˺ when Abraham declared to his father and his people, “I am totally free of whatever ˹gods˺ you worship, except the One Who originated me, and He will surely guide me.” And he left this enduring declaration among his descendants, so they may ˹always˺ turn back ˹to Allah˺. Quran 43:26~28
The Surah takes its name from the Ayat, وَزُخْرُفًا ۚ وَإِن كُلُّ ذَٰلِكَ لَمَّا مَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۚ وَالْآخِرَةُ عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ “And gold ornament. But all that is not but the enjoyment of worldly life. And the Hereafter with your Lord is for the righteous.” (43:35) There are 89 Ayat in this Surah.
وَإِذۡ قَالَ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمُ لِأَبِیهِ وَقَوۡمِهِۦۤ إِنَّنِی بَرَاۤءࣱ مِّمَّا تَعۡبُدُونَ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِی فَطَرَنِی فَإِنَّهُۥ سَیَهۡدِینِ وَجَعَلَهَا كَلِمَةَۢ بَاقِیَةࣰ فِی عَقِبِهِۦ لَعَلَّهُمۡ یَرۡجِعُونَ
The Surah tells us that the revelation is a mercy from Allah. Allah chooses whosoever He wills to give His revelation. The worldly goods and riches do not necessarily mean that a person is best in the sight of Allah. The real value comes from following the truth and righteousness.

اور جب ابراہیم نے اپنے باپ اور اپنی قوم کے لوگوں سے کہا کہ جن چیزوں کو تم پوجتے ہو میں ان سے بیزار ہوں ہاں جس نے مجھ کو پیدا کیا وہی مجھے سیدھا رستہ دکھائے گا اور یہی بات اپنی اولاد میں پیچھے چھوڑ گئے تاکہ وہ (خدا کی طرف) رجوع کریں
Sections:
This revelation is given to people in Arabic so that they may understand. The revelation is a mercy from Allah.
Shirk and blind following of ancestors are major problems of non-believers.
Allah chooses the Prophets and Messengers according to His wisdom. The worldly riches do not mean much in the sight of Allah.
Those who forget Allah come under the influence of the Satan.
Pharaoh’s response to Prophet Moses. Allah’s punishment came against Pharaoh and his people.
Jesus’ Message was also changed by some of his people.
The Believers will succeed in the Hereafter.

Quran 14:10~11

Their messengers asked ˹them˺, “Is there any doubt about Allah, the Originator of the heavens and the earth? He is inviting you in order to forgive your sins, and delay your end until your appointed term.” They argued, “You are no more than humans like us! You ˹only˺ wish to turn us away from what our forefathers worshipped. So bring us some compelling proof.” Their messengers said to them, “We are ˹indeed˺ only humans like you, but Allah favours whoever He chooses of His servants. It is not for us to bring you any proof without Allah’s permission. And in Allah let the believers put their trust. Quran 14:10~11
Ibrahim (Arabic: إبراهيم, Ibrāhīm; Arabic synonym of “Abraham”) is the 14th chapter (surah) of the Qur’an with 52 verses (āyāt).

ان کے پیغمبروں نے کہا کیا (تم کو) خدا (کے بارے) میں شک ہے جو آسمانوں اور زمین کا پیدا کرنے والا ہے۔ وہ تمہیں اس لیے بلاتا ہے کہ تمہارے گناہ بخشے اور (فائدہ پہنچانے کے لیے) ایک مدت مقرر تک تم کو مہلت دے۔ وہ بولے کہ تم تو ہمارے ہی جیسے آدمی ہو۔ تمہارا یہ منشاء ہے کہ جن چیزوں کو ہمارے بڑے پوجتے رہے ہیں ان (کے پوجنے) سے ہم کو بند کر دو تو (اچھا) کوئی کھلی دلیل لاؤ (یعنی معجزہ دکھاؤ) پیغمبروں نے ان سے کہا کہ ہاں ہم تمہارے ہی جیسے آدمی ہیں۔ لیکن خدا اپنے بندوں میں سے جس کو چاہتا ہے (نبوت کا) احسان کرتا ہے اور ہمارے اختیار کی بات نہیں کہ ہم خدا کے حکم کے بغیر تم کو (تمہاری فرمائش کے مطابق) معجزہ دکھائیں اور خدا ہی پر مومنوں کو بھروسہ رکھنا چاہیئے

Quran 3:84~85

Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “We believe in Allah and what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and his descendants; and what was given to Moses, Jesus, and other prophets from their Lord—we make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we ˹fully˺ submit.” Whoever seeks a way other than Islam, it will never be accepted from them, and in the Hereafter they will be among the losers. Quran 3:84~85
Al Imran (Arabic: آل عمران, āl ʿimrān; meaning: The Family of Imran) is the third chapter (sūrah) of the Quran with two hundred verses (āyāt).

قُلۡ اٰمَنَّا بِاللّٰهِ وَمَاۤ اُنۡزِلَ عَلَيۡنَا وَمَاۤ اُنۡزِلَ عَلٰٓى اِبۡرٰهِيۡمَ وَ اِسۡمٰعِيۡلَ وَاِسۡحٰقَ وَيَعۡقُوۡبَ وَالۡاَسۡبَاطِ وَمَاۤ اُوۡتِىَ مُوۡسٰى وَ عِيۡسٰى وَالنَّبِيُّوۡنَ مِنۡ رَّبِّهِمۡ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيۡنَ اَحَدٍ مِّنۡهُمۡ وَنَحۡنُ لَهٗ مُسۡلِمُوۡنَ‏ وَمَنۡ يَّبۡتَغِ غَيۡرَ الۡاِسۡلَامِ دِيۡنًا فَلَنۡ يُّقۡبَلَ مِنۡهُ‌ ۚ وَهُوَ فِى الۡاٰخِرَةِ مِنَ الۡخٰسِرِيۡنَ‏
It is named after Ale-Imran ‘the family of Imran’ – Imran being the grandfather of Jesus [Isa], and the father of Mary [Maryam]. Other than this Surah, Imran is not mentioned in the rest of the Qur’an with the exception of Surah 66: at-Tahreem – ‘Maryam daughter of Imran’ [66:12].
Zahra – The Prophet is reported to have called al-Baqarah and Ale-Imran as ‘Zahrawayn’ [Two Lights (of guidance)]
کہو کہ ہم خدا پر ایمان لائے اور جو کتاب ہم پر نازل ہوئی اور جو صحیفے ابراہیم اور اسماعیل اور اسحٰق اور یعقوب اور ان کی اولاد پر اترے اور جو کتابیں موسیٰ اور عیسیٰ اور دوسرے انبیاء کو پروردگار کی طرف سے ملیں سب پر ایمان لائے ہم ان پیغمبروں میں سے کسی میں کچھ فرق نہیں کرتے اور ہم اسی (خدائے واحد) کے فرماں بردار ہیں اور جو شخص اسلام کے سوا کسی اور دین کا طالب ہوگا وہ اس سے ہرگز قبول نہیں کیا جائے گا اور ایسا شخص آخرت میں نقصان اٹھانے والوں میں ہوگا
The main topics of this Surah are Tawhid, Prophethood and the truth of the Qur’ an. As Surah al-Baqarah discussed the issues related to Bani Israel, this Surah discusses some issues related to the Christian community and their religious positions. It also discusses the subjects of Hajj, Jihad, Zakat and Riba. It ends, like Surah al-Baqarah, with a profound dua.

Quran 3:31~34

Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “If you ˹sincerely˺ love Allah, then follow me; Allah will love you and forgive your sins. For Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Obey Allah and His Messenger.” If they still turn away, then truly Allah does not like the disbelievers. Indeed, Allah chose Adam, Noah, the family of Abraham, and the family of ’Imrân above all people ˹of their time˺. They are descendants of one another. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. Quran 3:31~34
Al Imran (Arabic: آل عمران, āl ʿimrān; meaning: The Family of Imran) is the third chapter (sūrah) of the Quran with two hundred verses (āyāt).

قُلۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ تُحِبُّونَ ٱللَّهَ فَٱتَّبِعُونِی یُحۡبِبۡكُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَیَغۡفِرۡ لَكُمۡ ذُنُوبَكُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورࣱ رَّحِیمࣱ قُلۡ أَطِیعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱلرَّسُولَۖ فَإِن تَوَلَّوۡا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا یُحِبُّ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ ۞ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱصۡطَفَىٰۤ ءَادَمَ وَنُوحࣰا وَءَالَ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ وَءَالَ عِمۡرَ ٰنَ عَلَى ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ذُرِّیَّةَۢ بَعۡضُهَا مِنۢ بَعۡضࣲۗ وَٱللَّهُ سَمِیعٌ عَلِیمٌ ࣱ
It is named after Ale-Imran ‘the family of Imran’ – Imran being the grandfather of Jesus [Isa], and the father of Mary [Maryam]. Other than this Surah, Imran is not mentioned in the rest of the Qur’an with the exception of Surah 66: at-Tahreem – ‘Maryam daughter of Imran’ [66:12].
Zahra – The Prophet is reported to have called al-Baqarah and Ale-Imran as ‘Zahrawayn’ [Two Lights (of guidance)]
(اے پیغمبر لوگوں سے) کہہ دو کہ اگر تم خدا کو دوست رکھتے ہو تو میری پیروی کرو خدا بھی تمہیں دوست رکھے گا اور تمہارے گناہ معاف کر دے گا اور خدا بخشنے والا مہربان ہے کہہ دو کہ خدا اور اس کے رسول کا حکم مانو اگر نہ مانیں تو خدا بھی کافروں کو دوست نہیں رکھتا خدا نے آدم اور نوح اور خاندان ابراہیم اور خاندان عمران کو تمام جہان کے لوگوں میں منتخب فرمایا تھا ان میں سے بعض بعض کی اولاد تھے اور خدا سننے والا (اور) جاننے والا ہے
The main topics of this Surah are Tawhid, Prophethood and the truth of the Qur’ an. As Surah al-Baqarah discussed the issues related to Bani Israel, this Surah discusses some issues related to the Christian community and their religious positions. It also discusses the subjects of Hajj, Jihad, Zakat and Riba. It ends, like Surah al-Baqarah, with a profound dua.

Quran 2:127~130

And ˹remember˺ when Abraham raised the foundation of the House with Ishmael, ˹both praying,˺ “Our Lord ! Accept ˹this˺ from us. You are indeed the All-Hearing, All-Knowing. Our Lord ! Make us both ˹fully˺ submit to You and from our descendants a nation that will submit to you. Show us our rituals, and turn to us in grace. You are truly the Accepter of Repentance, Most Merciful. Our Lord ! Raise from among them a messenger who will recite to them Your revelations, teach them the Book and wisdom, and purify them. Indeed, You ˹alone˺ are the Almighty, All-Wise.” And who would reject the faith of Abraham except a fool ! We certainly chose him in this life, and in the Hereafter he will surely be among the righteous. Quran 2:127~130

The surah encompasses a variety of topics and contains several commands for Muslims such as enjoining fasting on the believer during the month of Ramadan; forbidding interest or usury (riba); and several famous verses such as The Throne Verse, Al-Baqara 256, and the final two or three verses. The surah addresses a wide variety of topics, including substantial amounts of law, and retells stories of Adam, Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). A major theme is guidance: urging the pagans (Al-Mushrikeen) and the Jews of Medina to embrace Islam, and warning them and the hypocrites (Munafiqun) of the fate God had visited in the past on those who failed to heed his call.
اور جب ابراھیم اور اسماعیل کعبہ کی بنیادیں اٹھا رہے تھے اے ہمارے رب ہم سے قبول کر بے شک تو ہی سننے والا جاننے والا ہے اے ہمارے رب ہمیں اپنا فرمانبردار بنا دے اور ہماری اولاد میں سے بھی ایک جماعت کو اپنافرمانبردار بنا اور ہمیں ہمارے حج کے طریقے بتا دے اور ہماری توبہ قبول فرما بے شک تو بڑا توبہ قبول کرنے والا نہایت رحم والا ہے اے ہمارے رب اور ان میں ایک رسول انہیں میں سے بھیج جو ان پر تیری آیتیں پڑھیں اور انہیں کتاب اور دانائی سکھائے اور انہیں پاک کرے بے شک تو ہی غالب حکمت والا ہے اور کون ہے جو ملت ابراھیمی سے روگردانی کرے سوائے اس کے جو خود ہی احمق ہو اور ہم نے تو اسے دنیا میں بھی بزرگی دی تھی اور بے شک وہ آخرت میں بھی اچھے لوگوں میں سے ہوگا

The story of the creation of Adam. Allah’s plan and promise to send His guidance from time to time through His prophets.
Address to Bani Israel to accept this message. Allah’s covenant must be fulfilled.
Warnings to those who stray from the covenant of God. How some from among the Children of Israel turned away from God’s teachings.
God’s blessings on the Children of Israel and their transgressions.
The real recipients of Divine salvation. The hesitation of Bani Israel in sacrificing the cow.
Some perversions of those who were supposed to follow the law of God.
Basic principles of God’s Covenant with the Children of Israel.
Some of them were arrogant to follow the teachings of their prophets, some rejected the prophets or tried to kill them, some worshipped the calf, disobeyed God’s commands and became too greedy for the life of this world.
Opposition and enmity towards the Prophets, following devils and magic.
Reminders to the Believers to follow these examples. Stay firm on your principles. Some among the People of the Book will try to mislead you with false claims and assertions.
The true guidance of Allah is here. Read the Book of Allah and follow it.
The great example of Prophet Ibrahim. He and his son built the Ka’bah and prayed for a Prophet to come.
Prophet Ibrahim –peace be upon him- submitted to Allah and this is the message that he and his sons gave to their progeny.
The change of Qiblah and the response of the hypocrites and fools. Those who have knowledge know that this is the true Qiblah of all the Prophets.
Follow this direction wherever you are. This is the universal Qiblah for all.
Believers will be tried but they should be firm and steadfast and must face the trials with patience and prayers.
Allah’s signs and His bounties are everywhere. The polytheists and idolaters are misplacing their loyalties.
Believers should eat good and permissible food and should never follow the steps of the devil.
The true piety and righteousness. Some rules related to the punishment of murderers. The rules of bequests.
Fasting and Ramadan: the objective of fasting and some rules.
Rules of Hajj, fighting those who expelled Muslims from their homes.
No fighting during Hajj, rather seek God’s bounty when you return from Hajj.
Appreciate God’s bounties. All human beings were originally one community. Divisions came later. Be generous and defend your self and your faith.
Some important questions answered: War in the sacred months, wine and gambling, charity, orphans’ money, divorced women and their situation.

Under the leadership of Prophet David the victory came over the forces of Goliath.
Emphasis on charity. To Allah belong everything. His Throne extends to heaven and earth. No compulsion in religion. Allah brings out people from darkness unto light.
Allah’s power over life and death, some examples: Prophet Ibrahim’s dialogue with Namrood, a man in the valley of dead (probably Prophet Ezekiel’s vision of Jerusalem), Prophet Ibrahim asks Allah how will He raise the dead to life. Allah’s answer to Prophet Ibrahim.
Allah blesses charity: some examples of how Allah blesses charity
Emphasis on charity: spend good things, give openly and secretly to the poor and needy.
Prohibition of usuary (riba) and its bad effects on individuals and society

Conclusion and prayer: Everything in the heaven and earth belong to Allah, the prayer of the believers.

Ibrahim (Arabic: إبراهيم, Ibrāhīm; Arabic synonym of “Abraham”) is the 14th chapter (surah) of the Qur’an with 52 verses (āyāt).

وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
The basic theme of the Surah is Allah’s guidance through His prophets. The purpose of this guidance is to take the people from darkness to light. Many people in the past had doubts about their prophets. They laughed at them and they threatened to kill them or expel them from their towns. However, the lasting word is the “good word.” The Surah also mentions Prophet Ibrahim’s prayer when he established the city of Makkah.
اور خدا ہی پر مومنوں کو بھروسہ رکھنا چاہیئے
