Quran 46:15 [Supplication at 40 years’ of age]

We have commanded people to honour their parents. Their mothers bore them in hardship and delivered them in hardship. Their ˹period of˺ bearing and weaning is thirty months. In time, when the child reaches their prime at the age of forty, they pray, “My Lord! Inspire me to ˹always˺ be thankful for Your favours which You blessed me and my parents with, and to do good deeds that please You. And instil righteousness in my offspring. I truly repent to You, and I truly submit ˹to Your Will˺.”Quran 46:15 [Supplication at 40 years of age]Surah al-Ahqaf (The Wind-curved Sandhills)
The Surah takes its name from the Ayat, وَاذْكُرْ أَخَا عَادٍ إِذْ أَنذَرَ قَوْمَهُ بِالْأَحْقَافِ وَقَدْ خَلَتِ النُّذُرُ مِن بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوا إِلَّا اللَّـهَ إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ “And mention, [O Muhammad], the brother of ‘Aad, when he warned his people in the [region of] al-Ahqaf – and warners had already passed on before him and after him – [saying], “Do not worship except Allah. Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day.” (46:21). There are 35 Ayat in this Surah.

The story of Joseph in the Qurʾān is a continuous narrative. There are more than one hundred verses, and in totality they encompass many years and “present an amazing variety of sciences and characters in a tightly-knit plot, and offer a dramatic illustration of some of the fundamental themes of the Qurʾān.

” The Qurʾān itself relates to the story’s importance in the third verse: “and We narrate unto you aḥsanal-qaṣaṣ (Arabic: أحسن ٱلقصص, “best (or most beautiful) of stories”).
” Most scholars believe this is referring to Joseph’s story, while others, including Ṭabari, argue it is a reference to the Qurʾān as a whole.
It asserts and documents the execution of God’s rulings despite the challenge of human intervention (“And Allah hath full power and control over His affairs; but most among mankind know it not”).
This is what the story of Yūsuf confirms categorically, for it ends with comfort and marvels, which is described in the Qurʾān

Quran 27:18~19

And when they came across a valley of ants, an ant warned, “O ants! Go quickly into your homes so Solomon and his armies do not crush you, unknowingly.”So Solomon smiled in amusement at her words, and prayed, “My Lord! Inspire me to ˹always˺ be thankful for Your favours which You have blessed me and my parents with, and to do good deeds that please you. Admit me, by Your mercy, into ˹the company of˺ Your righteous servants.”Quran 27:18~19 (Surah an-Naml)
Surah Naml is named after ‘the Ant’ mentioned in (27:18). This is the only mention of ‘the Ant’ in the whole of the Qur’an.
There are 93 Ayat in this Surah.

The theme of the Surah is divine guidance in history.
Allah sent His Prophets to different people. Some accepted them and were guided,
while others denied them and they saw the consequences of their denial.
The Surah also contrasts between the principles of Tawhid and shirk.
Sections:
The Qur’an is from the All Wise and All-knower. How did Prophet Moses received the message of Allah. Allah gave Moses many signs but Pharaoh and his people denied them.
The knowledge and power that Allah bestowed on Prophets David and Solomon. What kind of character they had.
Queen of Saba’ and her submission to Prophet Solomon.
The response of Thamud to Prophet Saleh’s message. Also the example of the people among whom Prophet Lot was sent.
The contrast between the tawhid and shirk. Allah or the so-called gods of Shirk.
The surety of Resurrection.
The coming of the Day of Judgment.

Surah Al-Fajr (الفجر)
89th Chapter of the Quran

The sura describes destruction of disbelieving peoples: the Ancient Egyptians, the people of Iram of the Pillars, and Mada’in Saleh. It condemns those who love wealth and look with disdain upon the poor and orphans. Righteous people are promised Paradise – the final verse says “And enter you My Paradise!”. The Surah is so designated after the word wal-fajr with which it opens.
