Quran 9:86~89 (Ayah at-Taubah)

Whenever a sûrah is revealed stating, “Believe in Allah and struggle along with His Messenger,” the rich among them would ask to be exempt, saying, “Leave us with those who remain behind.” They preferred to stay behind with the helpless, and their hearts have been sealed so they do not comprehend. But the Messenger and the believers with him strived with their wealth and their lives. They will have all the best, and it is they who will be successful. Allah has prepared for them Gardens under which rivers flow, to stay there forever. That is the ultimate triumph. Quran: 9:86~89 Surah at-Taubah (Repentance)
The name of the surah, at-Taubah is derived from ت و ب and it occurs 87 times in the Quran. Interestingly, this surah has the highest usage of the words derived from ت و ب compared to all other surahs – it is used 17 times.
In Ayat 118, occurs the case of the three companions whom Allah turned to and accepted their tawbah to Him – those who had abstained from joining the Jihad at the Battle of Tabuk.

وَإِذَاۤ أُنزِلَتۡ سُورَةٌ أَنۡ ءَامِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَجَـٰهِدُوا۟ مَعَ رَسُولِهِ ٱسۡتَءۡذَنَكَ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلطَّوۡلِ مِنۡهُمۡ وَقَالُوا۟ ذَرۡنَا نَكُن مَّعَ ٱلۡقَـٰعِدِینَ رَضُوا۟ بِأَن یَكُونُوا۟ مَعَ ٱلۡخَوَالِفِ وَطُبِعَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمۡ فَهُمۡ لَا یَفۡقَهُونَ لَـٰكِنِ ٱلرَّسُولُ وَٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ جَـٰهَدُوا۟ بِأَمۡوَ ٰلِهِمۡ وَأَنفُسِهِمۡۚ وَأُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ لَهُمُ ٱلۡخَیۡرَ ٰتُۖ وَأُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ أَعَدَّ ٱللَّهُ لَهُمۡ جَنَّـٰتࣲ تَجۡرِی مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَـٰرُ خَـٰلِدِینَ فِیهَاۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡعَظِیمُ
This is the only Sūrah of the Qur’ān to which ‘In the Name of God, Most Gracious Most Merciful’ is not prefixed. Though the commentators have given different reasons for this, the correct one that which has been given by Imām Razi: namely this is because the Prophet himself did not dictate it at the beginning of the Sūrah. Therefore the Companions did not prefix it and their successors followed them. This is a further proof of the fact that utmost care has been taken to keep the Qur’ān intact so that it should remain in its complete and original form.
جب کبھی کوئی سورۃ اس مضمون کی نازل ہوئی کہ اللہ کو مانو اور اس کے رسول کے ساتھ جہاد کرو تو تم نے دیکھا کہ جو لوگ ان میں سے صاحب مقدرت تھے وہی تم سے درخواست کرنے لگے کہ انہیں جہاد کی شرکت سے معاف رکھا جائے اور انہوں نے کہا کہ ہمیں چھوڑ دیجیے کہ ہم بیٹھنے والوں کے ساتھ رہیں ان لوگوں نے گھر بیٹھنے والیوں میں شامل ہونا پسند کیا اور ان کے دلوں پر ٹھپہ لگا دیا گیا، اس لیے ان کی سمجھ میں اب کچھ نہیں آتا بخلاف اس کے رسولؐ نے اور ان لوگوں نے جو رسولؐ کے ساتھ ایمان لائے تھے اپنی جان و مال سے جہاد کیا اور اب ساری بھلائیاں انہی کے لیے ہیں اور وہی فلاح پانے والے ہیں اللہ نے ان کے لیے ایسے باغ تیار رکھے ہیں جن کے نیچے نہریں بہ رہی ہیں، ان میں وہ ہمیشہ رہیں گے یہ ہے عظیم الشان کامیابی
The basic subjects of the Surah are: The non-believers who broke their treaties, Muslims have no obligation to honor treaties with them. Muslims must protect themselves from hypocrisy, weak faith and negligence. Battle of Tabuk and its lessons.
Sections:
Proclamation that the Treaty of Hudaibiyah is cancelled.
Honor the treaties with those who honor them. Fight with those who have broken the treaty.
Mushrikin are forbidden to be the caretakers of the Masjid al-Haram.
Muslims should trust Allah, not just their numbers.
Jews and Christians also committed Shirk. Command to spend in the path of Allah. The correct number of months.
The Tabuk expedition.
Those who stayed behind and did not participate in the Battle of Tabuk, hypocrites and weak in faith.
The proper distribution of charity. Those who speak ill of the Prophet or make fun of Allah and His Book.
The hypocrite men and women.

O believers! Fight the disbelievers around you and let them find firmness in you. And know that Allah is with those mindful ˹of Him˺. Quran: 9:123 Surah at-Taubah (Repentance)

اے لوگو جو ایمان لائے ہو، جنگ کرو اُن منکرین حق سے جو تم سے قریب ہیں اور چاہیے کہ وہ تمہارے اندر سختی پائیں، اور جان لو کہ اللہ متقیوں کے ساتھ ہے

˹However,˺ it is not necessary for the believers to march forth all at once. Only a party from each group should march forth, leaving the rest to gain religious knowledge then enlighten their people when they return to them, so that they ˹too˺ may beware ˹of evil˺. اور یہ کچھ ضروری نہ تھا کہ اہل ایمان سارے کے سارے ہی نکل کھڑے ہوتے، مگر ایسا کیوں نہ ہوا کہ ان کی آبادی کے ہر حصہ میں سے کچھ لوگ نکل کر آتے اور دین کی سمجھ پیدا کرتے اور واپس جا کر اپنے علاقے کے باشندوں کو خبردار کرتے تاکہ وہ (غیر مسلمانہ روش سے) پرہیز کرتے

Quran 4:17~18

Allah only accepts the repentance of those who commit evil ignorantly ˹or recklessly˺ then repent soon after— Allah will pardon them. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. However, repentance is not accepted from those who knowingly persist in sin until they start dying, and then cry, “Now I repent !” nor those who die as disbelievers. For them We have prepared a painful punishment. Quran 4:17~18 Surah an-Nisa` (Women)
An-Nisa’ (Arabic: ٱلنساء, An-Nisāʾ; meaning: The Women) is the fourth chapter (sūrah) of the Quran, with 176 verses (āyāt).
The title derives from the numerous references to women throughout the chapter, including verse 34 and verses 127-130.

إِنَّمَا التَّوْبَةُ عَلَى اللَّهِ لِلَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ السُّوءَ بِجَهَالَةٍ ثُمَّ يَتُوبُونَ مِن قَرِيبٍ فَأُولَٰئِكَ يَتُوبُ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمً وَلَيْسَتِ التَّوْبَةُ لِلَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ السَّيِّئَاتِ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَهُمُ الْمَوْتُ قَالَ إِنِّي تُبْتُ الْآنَ وَلَا الَّذِينَ يَمُوتُونَ وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ أُولَٰئِكَ أَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمً
According to many scholars, the Surah was revealed after the Battle of Uhud, which left 70 of the Muslims killed.
This situation brought about the need to address issues such as inheritance left by those killed etc.
Hence in Surah an-Nisa, Allah Almighty address issues such as dealing with orphans [including children of those killed at Uhud] and inheritance.
خدا انہیں لوگوں کی توبہ قبول فرماتا ہے جو نادانی سے بری حرکت کر بیٹھے ہیں۔ پھر جلد توبہ قبول کرلیتے ہیں پس ایسے لوگوں پر خدا مہربانی کرتا ہے۔ اور وہ سب کچھ جانتا (اور) حکمت والا ہے اور ایسے لوگوں کی توبہ قبول نہیں ہوتی جو (ساری عمر) برے کام کرتے ہیں۔ یہاں تک کہ جب ان میں سے کسی موت آموجود ہو تو اس وقت کہنے لگے کہ اب میں توبہ کرتا ہوں اور نہ ان کی (توبہ قبول ہوتی ہے) جو کفر کی حالت میں مریں۔ ایسے لوگوں کے لئے ہم نے عذاب الیم تیار کر رکھا ہے
Sections:
Responsibility to take care of the family. Special care of orphans.
Laws of inheritance. It is an obligation from Allah.
Relations between men and women should be based on the principle of equity and goodness.
Rules of marriage especially concerning the women who cannot be taken in marriage.
Men and women’s rights over their properties.
Disagreement and reconciliation between husband and wife.
Internal and external purity: rules of wudu, ghusl and prayers.
Fulfill the trusts and refer all disputes to Allah and His Messenger.
Those who decline to accept the decisions of Allah’s Messenger are the hypocrites.
It is the duty of the Believers to establish justice and protect the poor and oppressed.
Hypocrites’ attitude to the Prophet and to the Believers
How to deal with the hypocrites who are prone to fighting
Believers must respect the life of other Believers, Murder and its punishment.
Believers must join and live with other Believers unless they are unable to do so.
Prayers for the travelers and those who are in the battlefield.
Always be just and do not take the side of the unjust.
The secret councils of the hypocrites.
Allah will not forgive Shirk. Shaitan’s misleading of humans through deceptions and false promises.
Some more directions about dealing with orphans and family disputes.
Believers must stand for justice for all. Must pay attention to their faith.
Hypocrites try to deceive Allah. They are lazy in their prayers. Their end will be the lowest part of hell.
Allah’s punishment for those who broke their covenant with Him. Some People of the Book tried to crucify Jesus, but Allah saved him.
The message of Islam is the same as the message of previous Prophets.
Invitation to the People of the Book to accept Islam and recognize the true teachings of Jesus. Some more elaboration on the law of Inheritance.

Quran 7:154~156

When Moses’ anger subsided, he took up the Tablets whose text contained guidance and mercy for those who stand in awe of their Lord. Moses chose seventy men from among his people for Our appointment and, when they were seized by an earthquake, he cried, continued….
The Surah is named after the story of the men awaiting on the “Elevations” between Paradise and Hell.
“My Lord! Had You willed, You could have destroyed them long ago, and me as well. Will You destroy us for what the foolish among us have done? This is only a test from You— by which You allow whoever you will to stray and guide whoever You will. You are our Guardian. So forgive us and have mercy on us. You are the best forgiver. Ordain for us what is good in this life and the next. Indeed, we have turned to You ˹in repentance˺.” continued….
It comprises of 206 Ayat.
Allah replied, “I will inflict My torment on whoever I will. But My mercy encompasses everything. I will ordain mercy for those who shun evil, pay alms-tax, and believe in Our revelations. Quran 7:154~156 Surah al-A`raf (The Elevated Places)

وَلَمَّا سَكَتَ عَن مُّوسَى ٱلۡغَضَبُ أَخَذَ ٱلۡأَلۡوَاحَۖ وَفِی نُسۡخَتِهَا هُدࣰى وَرَحۡمَةࣱ لِّلَّذِینَ هُمۡ لِرَبِّهِمۡ یَرۡهَبُونَ وَٱخۡتَارَ مُوسَىٰ قَوۡمَهُۥ سَبۡعِینَ رَجُلࣰا لِّمِیقَـٰتِنَاۖ فَلَمَّاۤ أَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلرَّجۡفَةُ قَالَ رَبِّ لَوۡ شِئۡتَ أَهۡلَكۡتَهُم مِّن قَبۡلُ وَإِیَّـٰیَۖ أَتُهۡلِكُنَا بِمَا فَعَلَ ٱلسُّفَهَاۤءُ مِنَّاۤۖ إِنۡ هِیَ إِلَّا فِتۡنَتُكَ تُضِلُّ بِهَا مَن تَشَاۤءُ وَتَهۡدِی مَن تَشَاۤءُۖ أَنتَ وَلِیُّنَا فَٱغۡفِرۡ لَنَا وَٱرۡحَمۡنَاۖ وَأَنتَ خَیۡرُ ٱلۡغَـٰفِرِینَ
The basic theme of this Surah is Risalah, i.e. Allah’s message as it was sent through many messengers. Several Prophets and parts of their stories are mentioned to emphasize Prophets’ mission and their struggle with their people.
۞ وَٱكۡتُبۡ لَنَا فِی هَـٰذِهِ ٱلدُّنۡیَا حَسَنَةࣰ وَفِی ٱلۡءَاخِرَةِ إِنَّا هُدۡنَاۤ إِلَیۡكَۚ قَالَ عَذَابِیۤ أُصِیبُ بِهِۦ مَنۡ أَشَاۤءُۖ وَرَحۡمَتِی وَسِعَتۡ كُلَّ شَیۡءࣲۚ فَسَأَكۡتُبُهَا لِلَّذِینَ یَتَّقُونَ وَیُؤۡتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَٱلَّذِینَ هُم بِءَایَـٰتِنَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ
The Surah tells us that Allah’s Prophets suffered for the cause of truth. Their enemies tried to harm them, but then Allah helped his prophets and defeated their enemies. The Surah emphasizes that the true message must be presented under all circumstances. After the Prophets it is the duty of the Believers to convey the message of Allah to all people.
اور جب موسیٰ کا غصہ فرو ہوا تو (تورات) کی تختیاں اٹھالیں اور جو کچھ ان میں لکھا تھا وہ ان لوگوں کے لیے جو اپنے پروردگار سے ڈرتے ہیں۔ ہدایت اور رحمت تھی اور موسیٰ نے اس میعاد پر جو ہم نے مقرر کی تھی اپنی قوم کے ستر آدمی منتخب (کرکے کوہ طور پر حاضر) ٹل کیے۔ جب ان کو زلزلے نے پکڑا تو موسیٰ نے کہا کہ
Al-A’raf – The Elevations.
اے پروردگار تو چاہتا تو ان کو اور مجھ کو پہلے ہی سے ہلاک کر دیتا۔ کیا تو اس فعل کی سزا میں جو ہم میں سے بےعقل لوگوں نے کیا ہے ہمیں ہلاک کردے گا۔ یہ تو تیری آزمائش ہے۔ اس سے تو جس کو چاہے گمراہ کرے اور جس کو چاہے ہدایت بخشے۔
Allah mentions Paradise and Hellfire and then speaks of the ‘elevations’ between them reserved for some amongst humanity.
تو ہی ہمارا کارساز ہے تو ہمیں (ہمارے گناہ) بخش دے اور ہم پر رحم فرما اور تو سب سے بہتر بخشنے والا ہے اور ہمارے لیے اس دنیا میں بھی بھلائی لکھ دے اور آخرت میں بھی۔ ہم تیری طرف رجوع ہوچکے۔
These people not knowing what will happen to them.
فرمایا کہ جو میرا عذاب ہے اسے تو جس پر چاہتا ہوں نازل کرتا ہوں اور جو میری رحمت ہے وہ ہر چیز کو شامل ہے۔ میں اس کو ان لوگوں کے لیے لکھ دوں گا جو پرہیزگاری کرتے اور زکوٰة دیتے اور ہماری آیتوں پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں
The people of Hell-fire will be refused water as it will be prohibited for the disbelievers in the after-life.

Quran 15:28~44

˹Remember, O Prophet˺ when your Lord said to the angels, “I am going to create a human being from sounding clay moulded from black mud. So when I have fashioned him and had a spirit of My Own ˹creation˺ breathed into him, fall down in prostration to him.” So the angels prostrated all together—but not Iblîs, who refused to prostrate with the others. Allah asked, “O Iblîs! What is the matter with you that you did not join others in prostration?” He replied, “It is not for me to prostrate to a human You created from sounding clay moulded from black mud.” Allah commanded, “Then get out of Paradise, for you are truly cursed. And surely upon you is condemnation until the Day of Judgment.”
It is named ‘Hijr’ after the valley located between Madinah and Sham [Greater Syria],
where the people of Salih, Thamud lived.
Satan appealed, “My Lord! Then delay my end until the Day of their resurrection.” Allah said, “You will be delayed until the appointed Day.” Satan responded, “My Lord! For allowing me to stray I will surely tempt them on earth and mislead them all together, except Your chosen servants among them.” Allah said, “This is the Way, binding on Me: you will certainly have no authority over My servants, except the deviant who follow you, and surely Hell is their destined place, all together. It has seven gates, to each a group of them is designated.” Quran 15:28~44 [Surah al-Hijr (Rock City)]

The main theme of the Surah is divine guidance, and people’s response.
قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرۡنِیۤ إِلَىٰ یَوۡمِ یُبۡعَثُونَ قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنظَرِینَ إِلَىٰ یَوۡمِ ٱلۡوَقۡتِ ٱلۡمَعۡلُومِ قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَاۤ أَغۡوَیۡتَنِی لَأُزَیِّنَنَّ لَهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَأُغۡوِیَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنۡهُمُ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِینَ قَالَ هَـٰذَا صِرَ ٰطٌ عَلَیَّ مُسۡتَقِیمٌ إِنَّ عِبَادِی لَیۡسَ لَكَ عَلَیۡهِمۡ سُلۡطَـٰنٌ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡغَاوِینَ وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمَوۡعِدُهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ لَهَا سَبۡعَةُ أَبۡوَ ٰبࣲ لِّكُلِّ بَابࣲ مِّنۡهُمۡ جُزۡءࣱ مَّقۡسُومٌ
Allah’s warns those who deny this message and as a reminder of these warnings,
we have here the stories of Prophet Lot’s people, Thamud and other groups.
پھر یاد کرو اُس موقع کو جب تمہارے رب نے فرشتوں سے کہا کہ "میں سڑی ہوئی مٹی کے سوکھے گارے سے ایک بشر پیدا کر رہا ہوں جب میں اُسے پورا بنا چکوں اور اس میں اپنی روح سے کچھ پھونک دوں تو تم سب اس کے آگے سجدے میں گر جانا" چنانچہ تمام فرشتوں نے سجدہ کیا سوائے ابلیس کے کہ اُس نے سجدہ کرنے والوں کا ساتھ دینے سے انکار کر دیا رب نے پوچھا "اے ابلیس، تجھے کیا ہوا کہ تو نے سجدہ کرنے والوں کا ساتھ نہ دیا؟ اس نے کہا "میرا یہ کام نہیں ہے کہ میں اِس بشر کو سجدہ کروں جسے تو نے سڑی ہوئی مٹی کے سوکھے گارے سے پیدا کیا ہے"
Sections:
Qur’an is the Book of Allah.
He revealed it and He will guard it.
Allah knows everything in the universe. He is the Creator of all.
رب نے فرمایا "اچھا تو نکل جا یہاں سے کیونکہ تو مردود ہے اور اب روز جزا تک تجھ پر لعنت ہے" اُس نے عرض کیا "میرے رب، یہ بات ہے تو پھر مجھے اُس روز تک کے لیے مہلت دے جبکہ سب انسان دوبارہ اٹھائے جائیں گے“ فرمایا "اچھا، تجھے مہلت ہے اُس دن تک جس کا وقت ہمیں معلوم ہے" وہ بولا "میرے رب، جیسا تو نے مجھے بہکایا اُسی طرح اب میں زمین میں اِن کے لیے دل فریبیاں پیدا کر کے اِن سب کو بہکا دوں گا سوائے تیرے اُن بندوں کے جنہیں تو نے اِن میں سے خالص کر لیا ہو"
The creation of human being is from a very humble stuff,
but Allah honored him and asked angels to bow down to Adam.

فرمایا "یہ راستہ ہے جو سیدھا مجھ تک پہنچتا ہے بے شک، جو میرے حقیقی بندے ہیں ان پر تیرا بس نہ چلے گا تیرا بس تو صرف اُن بہکے ہوئے لوگوں ہی پر چلے گا جو تیری پیروی کریں اور ان سب کے لیے جہنم کی وعید ہے" یہ جہنم (جس کی وعید پیروان ابلیس کے لیے کی گئی ہے) اس کے سات دروازے ہیں ہر دروازے کے لیے اُن میں سے ایک حصہ مخصوص کر دیا گیا ہے

Quran 110:1~3

Once Allah´s help _ and with it, the victory _ arrives You shall see people throng (and embrace) the religion of Allah in large numbers So chant the praises of your Lord, and beg His forgiveness. Of course, it is really He Who accepts repentance and grants forgiveness Quran 110:1~3 Surah an-Nasr (Divine Support)
This Surah takes its name from the first Ayat,
إِذَا جَاءَ نَصْرُ اللَّـهِ وَالْفَتْحُ
“When the victory of Allah has come and the conquest,” [110:1].
There are 3 Ayat in this Surah.
إِذَا جَاۤءَ نَصۡرُ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡفَتۡحُ وَرَأَیۡتَ ٱلنَّاسَ یَدۡخُلُونَ فِی دِینِ ٱللَّهِ أَفۡوَاجࣰا فَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡهُۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ تَوَّابَۢا
This is a Madani Surah and according to most of the authorities this is the last Surah that was revealed to the Prophet (saw).
The Surah reminds about the attitude of the Believer in the situation of success.
One should be thankful to Allah and seek His forgiveness for any shortcomings or mistakes.
جب اللہ کی مدد آ جائے اور فتح نصیب ہو جائے اور (اے نبیؐ) تم دیکھ لو کہ لوگ فوج در فوج اللہ کے دین میں داخل ہو رہے ہیں تو اپنے رب کی حمد کے ساتھ اُس کی تسبیح کرو، اور اُس سے مغفرت کی دعا مانگو، بے شک وہ بڑا توبہ قبول کرنے والا ہے
The Surah speaks of the victory and help of Allah.
