Quran 80:33~42

[Surah `Abasa]

Then, when the Deafening Blast comes to pass—(i.e., by blowing of the Trumpet)on that Day every person will flee from their own siblings, and ˹even˺ their mother and father, and ˹even˺ their spouse & children. For then everyone will have enough concern of their own.On that Day ˹some˺ faces will be bright, laughing and rejoicing, while ˹other˺ faces will be dusty, cast in gloom—those are the disbelievers, the ˹wicked˺ sinners.Quran 80:33~42Surah `Abasa (He Frowned)

The Surah begins with the incident of a blind man (Abdullah ibn Umm Maktum) who came to the Prophet to seek knowledge, while the chiefs of Makkah were denying the message. It talks about the greatness of Allah’s message. Those who will accept this message they will benefit from it. But those who deny this message they are bringing harm to their own selves.

Quran 46:15 [Supplication at 40 years’ of age]

We have commanded people to honour their parents. Their mothers bore them in hardship and delivered them in hardship. Their ˹period of˺ bearing and weaning is thirty months. In time, when the child reaches their prime at the age of forty, they pray, “My Lord! Inspire me to ˹always˺ be thankful for Your favours which You blessed me and my parents with, and to do good deeds that please You. And instil righteousness in my offspring. I truly repent to You, and I truly submit ˹to Your Will˺.”Quran 46:15 [Supplication at 40 years of age]Surah al-Ahqaf (The Wind-curved Sandhills)
The Surah takes its name from the Ayat, وَاذْكُرْ أَخَا عَادٍ إِذْ أَنذَرَ قَوْمَهُ بِالْأَحْقَافِ وَقَدْ خَلَتِ النُّذُرُ مِن بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوا إِلَّا اللَّـهَ إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ “And mention, [O Muhammad], the brother of ‘Aad, when he warned his people in the [region of] al-Ahqaf – and warners had already passed on before him and after him – [saying], “Do not worship except Allah.

The basic theme of the Surah is Allah’s guidance through His prophets.
The purpose of this guidance is to take the people from darkness to light.
Many people in the past had doubts about their prophets.
They laughed at them and they threatened to kill them or expel them from their towns.
However, the lasting word is the “good word.”
The Surah also mentions Prophet Ibrahim’s prayer when he established the city of Makkah.

Quran 13:19~24

“Can the one who knows that your Lord’s revelation to you ˹O Prophet˺ is the truth be like the one who is blind? None will be mindful ˹of this˺ except people of reason.˹They are˺ those who honour Allah’s covenant, never breaking the pledge;and those who maintain whatever ˹ties˺ Allah has ordered to be maintained, stand in awe of their Lord, and fear strict judgment. And ˹they are˺ those who endure patiently, seeking their Lord’s pleasure, establish prayer, donate from what We have provided for them—secretly and openly—and respond to evil with good. It is they who will have the ultimate abode:the Gardens of Eternity, which they will enter along with the righteous among their parents, spouses, and descendants. And the angels will enter upon them from every gate, ˹saying,˺“Peace be upon you for your perseverance. How excellent is the ultimate abode!”Quran 13:19~24

The basic theme of the Surah is divine guidance.
Allah has created this whole universe.
He knows what is in the wombs and every thing is under His knowledge.
He sent His prophets and guides to all people for their guidance
and now the Last Messenger has come.

The surah encompasses a variety of topics and contains several commands for Muslims such as enjoining fasting on the believer during the month of Ramadan; forbidding interest or usury (riba); and several famous verses such as The Throne Verse, Al-Baqara 256, and the final two or three verses. The surah addresses a wide variety of topics, including substantial amounts of law, and retells stories of Adam, Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). A major theme is guidance: urging the pagans (Al-Mushrikeen) and the Jews of Medina to embrace Islam, and warning them and the hypocrites (Munafiqun) of the fate God had visited in the past on those who failed to heed his call.
