Quran 19:93~96

There is none in the heavens or the earth who will not return to the Most Compassionate in full submission. Indeed, He fully knows them and has counted them precisely. And each of them will return to Him on the Day of Judgment all alone. As for those who believe and do good, the Most Compassionate will bestow His affection on them. Quran 19:93~96 Surah Maryam (Mary)
The Surah is named after Maryam, the mother of Isa [Jesus].
Allah’s Messenger said, “Many amongst men attained perfection but amongst women none attained the perfection except Mary, the daughter of Imran and Asiya, the wife of Pharaoh.
And the superiority of Aisha to other women is like the superiority of Tharid (i.e. an Arabic dish) to other meals.” [Bukhari 3769]
There are 98 Ayat in this Surah.

إِن كُلُّ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ إِلَّا آتِي الرَّحْمَٰنِ عَبْدً لَّقَدْ أَحْصَاهُمْ وَعَدَّهُمْ عَدًّ وَكُلُّهُمْ آتِيهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَرْدً إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ سَيَجْعَلُ لَهُمُ الرَّحْمَٰنُ وُدًّ
The subject matter of this Surah is the true message and teachings of the Prophets of Allah.
Several Prophets are mentioned here: Zakariyya, Yahya, Isa and his mother Maryam, Ibrahim, Musa, Ismail and Idris -may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon all of them.
Allah blessed these Prophets.
They taught Tawhid and called their people to the worship of Allah alone.
Great miracles and signs were also shown in the lives of these Prophets and Messengers.
زمین اور آسمان کے اندر جو بھی ہیں سب اس کے حضور بندوں کی حیثیت سے پیش ہونے والے ہیں سب پر وہ محیط ہے اور اس نے اُن کو شمار کر رکھا ہے سب قیامت کے روز فرداً فرداً اس کے سامنے حاضر ہوں گے یقیناً جو لوگ ایمان لے آئے ہیں اور عمل صالح کر رہے ہیں عنقریب رحمان اُن کے لیے دلوں میں محبت پیدا کر دے گا
Sections:
Prophet Zachariah’s prayer for a son. Birth of John (Yahya) and Allah’s favors upon him.
Maryam -peace be upon her – and the miraculous birth of her son Jesus -peace be upon him.
Prophet Ibrahim preached the unity of Allah. His conversation with his father.
Other great Prophets and Messengers of Allah.
The Resurrection will surely happen.
Criticism of misconceptions about intercession and the divinity of Jesus.

Quran 4:56~57

Surely those who reject Our signs, We will cast them into the Fire. Whenever their skin is burnt completely, We will replace it so they will ˹constantly˺ taste the punishment. Indeed, Allah is Almighty, All-Wise. As for those who believe and do good, We will admit them into Gardens under which rivers flow, to stay there for ever and ever. There they will have pure spouses, and We will place them under a vast shade. Quran 4:56~57 Surah an-Nisa` (Women)
An-Nisa’ (Arabic: ٱلنساء, An-Nisāʾ; meaning: The Women) is the fourth chapter (sūrah) of the Quran, with 176 verses (āyāt).
The title derives from the numerous references to women throughout the chapter, including verse 34 and verses 127-130.

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِنَا سَوْفَ نُصْلِيهِمْ نَارًا كُلَّمَا نَضِجَتْ جُلُودُهُم بَدَّلْنَاهُمْ جُلُودًا غَيْرَهَا لِيَذُوقُوا الْعَذَابَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَزِيزًا حَكِيمً وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ سَنُدْخِلُهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا لَّهُمْ فِيهَا أَزْوَاجٌ مُّطَهَّرَةٌ وَنُدْخِلُهُمْ ظِلًّا ظَلِيلً
According to many scholars, the Surah was revealed after the Battle of Uhud, which left 70 of the Muslims killed.
This situation brought about the need to address issues such as inheritance left by those killed etc.
Hence in Surah an-Nisa, Allah Almighty address issues such as dealing with orphans [including children of those killed at Uhud] and inheritance.
جن لوگوں نے ہماری آیتوں سے کفر کیا ان کو ہم عنقریب آگ میں داخل کریں گے جب ان کی کھالیں گل (اور جل) جائیں گی تو ہم اور کھالیں بدل دیں گے تاکہ (ہمیشہ) عذاب (کا مزہ چکھتے) رہیں بےشک خدا غالب حکمت والا ہے اور جو ایمان لائے اور نیک عمل کرتے رہے ان کو ہم بہشتوں میں داخل کریں گے جن کے نیچے نہریں بہہ رہی ہیں وہ ان میں ہمیشہ ہمیشہ رہیں گے وہاں ان کے لئے پاکیزہ بیویاں ہیں اور ان کو ہم گھنے سائے میں داخل کریں گے
Sections:
Responsibility to take care of the family. Special care of orphans.
Laws of inheritance. It is an obligation from Allah.
Relations between men and women should be based on the principle of equity and goodness.
Rules of marriage especially concerning the women who cannot be taken in marriage.
Men and women’s rights over their properties.
Disagreement and reconciliation between husband and wife.
Internal and external purity: rules of wudu, ghusl and prayers.
Fulfill the trusts and refer all disputes to Allah and His Messenger.
Those who decline to accept the decisions of Allah’s Messenger are the hypocrites.
It is the duty of the Believers to establish justice and protect the poor and oppressed.
Hypocrites’ attitude to the Prophet and to the Believers
How to deal with the hypocrites who are prone to fighting
Believers must respect the life of other Believers, Murder and its punishment.
Believers must join and live with other Believers unless they are unable to do so.
Prayers for the travelers and those who are in the battlefield.
Always be just and do not take the side of the unjust.
The secret councils of the hypocrites.
Allah will not forgive Shirk. Shaitan’s misleading of humans through deceptions and false promises.
Some more directions about dealing with orphans and family disputes.
Believers must stand for justice for all. Must pay attention to their faith.
Hypocrites try to deceive Allah. They are lazy in their prayers. Their end will be the lowest part of hell.
Allah’s punishment for those who broke their covenant with Him. Some People of the Book tried to crucify Jesus, but Allah saved him.
The message of Islam is the same as the message of previous Prophets.
Invitation to the People of the Book to accept Islam and recognize the true teachings of Jesus. Some more elaboration on the law of Inheritance.

Quran 7:158

Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “O humanity! I am Allah’s Messenger to you all. To Him ˹alone˺ belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Him. He gives life and causes death.” So believe in Allah and His Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, who believes in Allah and His revelations. And follow him, so you may be ˹rightly˺ guided. Quran 7:158 Surah al-A`raf (The Elevated Places)
The Surah is named after the story of the men awaiting on the “Elevations” between Paradise and Hell.
It comprises of 206 Ayat.

The basic theme of this Surah is Risalah, i.e. Allah’s message as it was sent through many messengers. Several Prophets and parts of their stories are mentioned to emphasize Prophets’ mission and their struggle with their people.
(اے محمدﷺ) کہہ دو کہ لوگو میں تم سب کی طرف خدا کا بھیجا ہوا (یعنی اس کا رسول) ہوں۔ (وہ) جو آسمانوں اور زمین کا بادشاہ ہے۔ اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں وہی زندگانی بخشتا ہے اور وہی موت دیتا ہے۔ تو خدا پر اور اس کے رسول پیغمبر اُمی پر جو خدا پر اور اس کے تمام کلام پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں ایمان لاؤ اور ان کی پیروی کرو تاکہ ہدایت پاؤ
The Surah tells us that Allah’s Prophets suffered for the cause of truth. Their enemies tried to harm them, but then Allah helped his prophets and defeated their enemies. The Surah emphasizes that the true message must be presented under all circumstances. After the Prophets it is the duty of the Believers to convey the message of Allah to all people.

Quran 7:154~156

When Moses’ anger subsided, he took up the Tablets whose text contained guidance and mercy for those who stand in awe of their Lord. Moses chose seventy men from among his people for Our appointment and, when they were seized by an earthquake, he cried, continued….
The Surah is named after the story of the men awaiting on the “Elevations” between Paradise and Hell.
“My Lord! Had You willed, You could have destroyed them long ago, and me as well. Will You destroy us for what the foolish among us have done? This is only a test from You— by which You allow whoever you will to stray and guide whoever You will. You are our Guardian. So forgive us and have mercy on us. You are the best forgiver. Ordain for us what is good in this life and the next. Indeed, we have turned to You ˹in repentance˺.” continued….
It comprises of 206 Ayat.
Allah replied, “I will inflict My torment on whoever I will. But My mercy encompasses everything. I will ordain mercy for those who shun evil, pay alms-tax, and believe in Our revelations. Quran 7:154~156 Surah al-A`raf (The Elevated Places)

اور جب موسیٰ کا غصہ فرو ہوا تو (تورات) کی تختیاں اٹھالیں اور جو کچھ ان میں لکھا تھا وہ ان لوگوں کے لیے جو اپنے پروردگار سے ڈرتے ہیں۔ ہدایت اور رحمت تھی اور موسیٰ نے اس میعاد پر جو ہم نے مقرر کی تھی اپنی قوم کے ستر آدمی منتخب (کرکے کوہ طور پر حاضر) ٹل کیے۔ جب ان کو زلزلے نے پکڑا تو موسیٰ نے کہا کہ
Al-A’raf – The Elevations.
اے پروردگار تو چاہتا تو ان کو اور مجھ کو پہلے ہی سے ہلاک کر دیتا۔ کیا تو اس فعل کی سزا میں جو ہم میں سے بےعقل لوگوں نے کیا ہے ہمیں ہلاک کردے گا۔ یہ تو تیری آزمائش ہے۔ اس سے تو جس کو چاہے گمراہ کرے اور جس کو چاہے ہدایت بخشے۔
Allah mentions Paradise and Hellfire and then speaks of the ‘elevations’ between them reserved for some amongst humanity.
تو ہی ہمارا کارساز ہے تو ہمیں (ہمارے گناہ) بخش دے اور ہم پر رحم فرما اور تو سب سے بہتر بخشنے والا ہے اور ہمارے لیے اس دنیا میں بھی بھلائی لکھ دے اور آخرت میں بھی۔ ہم تیری طرف رجوع ہوچکے۔
These people not knowing what will happen to them.
فرمایا کہ جو میرا عذاب ہے اسے تو جس پر چاہتا ہوں نازل کرتا ہوں اور جو میری رحمت ہے وہ ہر چیز کو شامل ہے۔ میں اس کو ان لوگوں کے لیے لکھ دوں گا جو پرہیزگاری کرتے اور زکوٰة دیتے اور ہماری آیتوں پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں
The people of Hell-fire will be refused water as it will be prohibited for the disbelievers in the after-life.

Quran 3:193

Our Lord! We have heard the caller to ˹true˺ belief, ˹proclaiming,˺ ‘Believe in your Lord ˹alone˺,’ so we believed. Our Lord! Forgive our sins, absolve us of our misdeeds, and allow us ˹each˺ to die as one of the virtuous. Quran 3:193 Surah al-Imran (The Family of Imran)
Al Imran (Arabic: آل عمران, āl ʿimrān; meaning: The Family of Imran) is the third chapter (sūrah) of the Quran with two hundred verses (āyāt).

رَّبَّنَاۤ إِنَّنَا سَمِعۡنَا مُنَادِیࣰا یُنَادِی لِلۡإِیمَـٰنِ أَنۡ ءَامِنُوا۟ بِرَبِّكُمۡ فَءَامَنَّاۚ رَبَّنَا فَٱغۡفِرۡ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَكَفِّرۡ عَنَّا سَیِّءَاتِنَا وَتَوَفَّنَا مَعَ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارِ
It is named after Ale-Imran ‘the family of Imran’ – Imran being the grandfather of Jesus [Isa], and the father of Mary [Maryam]. Other than this Surah, Imran is not mentioned in the rest of the Qur’an with the exception of Surah 66: at-Tahreem – ‘Maryam daughter of Imran’ [66:12].
Zahra – The Prophet is reported to have called al-Baqarah and Ale-Imran as ‘Zahrawayn’ [Two Lights (of guidance)]
اے پروردگار! ہم نے ایک پکارنے والے کو سنا جو ایمان کی طرف بلاتا تھا اور کہتا تھا کہ اپنے رب کو مانو ہم نے اس کی دعوت قبول کر لی، پس اے پروردگار! جو قصور ہم سے ہوئے ہیں ان سے درگزر فرما، جو برائیاں ہم میں ہیں انہیں دور کر دے اور ہمارا خاتمہ نیک لوگوں کے ساتھ کر
The main topics of this Surah are Tawhid, Prophethood and the truth of the Qur’ an. As Surah al-Baqarah discussed the issues related to Bani Israel, this Surah discusses some issues related to the Christian community and their religious positions. It also discusses the subjects of Hajj, Jihad, Zakat and Riba. It ends, like Surah al-Baqarah, with a profound dua.

Quran 4 : 36(Partial) ~ 39

Surely Allah does not like whoever is arrogant, boastful— those who are stingy, promote stinginess among people, and withhold Allah’s bounties. We have prepared for the disbelievers a humiliating punishment. Likewise for those who spend their wealth to show off and do not believe in Allah or the Last Day. And whoever takes Satan as an associate— what an evil associate they have! What harm could have come to them if they had believed in Allah and the Last Day and donated from what Allah has provided for them? And Allah has ˹perfect˺ knowledge of them. خدا تکبر کرنے والے بڑائی مارنے والے کو دوست نہیں رکھتا جو خود بھی بخل کریں اور لوگوں کو بھی بخل سکھائیں اور جو (مال) خدا نے ان کو اپنے فضل سے عطا فرمایا ہے اسے چھپا چھپا کے رکھیں اور ہم نے ناشکروں کے لئے ذلت کا عذاب تیار کر رکھا ہے اور خرچ بھی کریں تو (خدا کے لئے نہیں بلکہ) لوگوں کے دکھانے کو اور ایمان نہ خدا پر لائیں اور نہ روز آخرت پر (ایسے لوگوں کو ساتھی شیطان ہے) اور جس کا ساتھی شیطان ہوا تو (کچھ شک نہیں کہ) وہ برا ساتھی ہے اور اگر یہ لوگ خدا پر اور روز قیامت پر ایمان لاتے اور جو کچھ خدا نے ان کو دیا تھا اس میں سے خرچ کرتے تو ان کا کیا نقصان ہوتا اور خدا ان کو خوب جانتا ہے

Quran 26:201~209

They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment, which will take them by surprise when they least expect ˹it˺. Then they will cry, “Can we be allowed more time?” Do they ˹really˺ seek to hasten Our torment? Imagine ˹O Prophet˺ if We allowed them enjoyment for years, then there came to them what they had been threatened with: would that enjoyment be of any benefit to them ˹at all˺? We have never destroyed a society without warners to remind ˹them˺, for We would never wrong ˹anyone˺. Quran 26:201~209 Surah ash-Shu`ara` (The Poets)
The Surah is named ‘The Poets’ and is mentioned in the Ayat, وَالشُّعَرَاءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ الْغَاوُونَ “And the poets – [only] the deviators follow them;” (26:224).
This is the longest Makki Surah of the Qur’an having 227 Ayat.

لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦ حَتَّىٰ یَرَوُا۟ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَلِیمَ فَیَأۡتِیَهُم بَغۡتَةࣰ وَهُمۡ لَا یَشۡعُرُونَ فَیَقُولُوا۟ هَلۡ نَحۡنُ مُنظَرُونَ أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا یَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ أَفَرَءَیۡتَ إِن مَّتَّعۡنَـٰهُمۡ سِنِینَ ثُمَّ جَاۤءَهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ یُوعَدُونَ مَاۤ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ یُمَتَّعُونَ وَمَاۤ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مِن قَرۡیَةٍ إِلَّا لَهَا مُنذِرُونَ ذِكۡرَىٰ وَمَا كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِینَ
The non-believers were asking for signs to prove that the Qur’an was the word of Allah. Allah mentioned many signs both in nature and in history. Stories of many prophets are also mentioned to indicate that all prophets presented basically the same message.
وہ دردناک عذاب دیکھے بغیر اس پر ایمان نہیں لائیں گے پھر وہ ان پر اچاناک آئے گا اور انہیں خبر بھی نہ ہوگی پھر کہیں گے کیا ہمیں مہلت مل سکتی ہے کیا ہمارے عذاب کو جلد چاہتے ہیں بھلا دیکھ اگر ہم انہیں چند سال فائدہ اٹھانے دیں پھر ان کے پاس وہ عذاب آئے جس کا وعدہ دیے جاتے ہیں تو جو انہوں نے فائدہ اٹھایا ہے کیا ان کے کچھ کام بھی آئے گا اور ہم نے ایسی کوئی بستی ہلاک نہیں کی جس کے لیے ڈرانے والے نہ آئے ہوں نصیحت دینے کے لیے اور ہم ظالم نہیں تھے

Prophet Lot – peace be upon him – and his people.
Prophet Shu’aib – peace be upon him – and his people.
The Qur’an is the message from the Lord of the worlds. It is neither from devils nor do they have any clue of this message. It is not poetry of the poets. It is a serious message with eternal consequences.

Quran 80:33~42

[Surah `Abasa]

Then, when the Deafening Blast comes to pass— (i.e., by blowing of the Trumpet) on that Day every person will flee from their own siblings, and ˹even˺ their mother and father, and ˹even˺ their spouse & children. For then everyone will have enough concern of their own. On that Day ˹some˺ faces will be bright, laughing and rejoicing, while ˹other˺ faces will be dusty, cast in gloom— those are the disbelievers, the ˹wicked˺ sinners. Quran 80:33~42 Surah `Abasa (He Frowned)
The Surah takes its name from the first Ayat, عَبَسَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ “He frowned and turned away.” [80:1]

فَإِذَا جَآءَتِ ٱلصَّآخَّةُ يَوْمَ يَفِرُّ ٱلْمَرْءُ مِنْ أَخِيهِ وَأُمِّهِۦ وَأَبِيهِ وَصَـٰحِبَتِهِۦ وَبَنِيهِ لِكُلِّ ٱمْرِئٍ مِّنْهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ شَأْنٌ يُغْنِيهِ وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُّسْفِرَةٌ ضَاحِكَةٌ مُّسْتَبْشِرَةٌ وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَلَيْهَا غَبَرَةٌ تَرْهَقُهَا قَتَرَةٌ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْكَفَرَةُ ٱلْفَجَرَةُ
The Surah begins with the incident of a blind man (Abdullah ibn Umm Maktum) who came to the Prophet to seek knowledge, while the chiefs of Makkah were denying the message. It talks about the greatness of Allah’s message. Those who will accept this message they will benefit from it. But those who deny this message they are bringing harm to their own selves.
آخرکار جب وہ کان بہرے کر دینے والی آواز بلند ہوگی اُس روز آدمی اپنے بھائی اور اپنی ماں اور اپنے باپ اور اپنی بیوی اور اپنی اولاد سے بھاگے گا ان میں سے ہر شخص پر اس دن ایسا وقت آ پڑے گا کہ اسے اپنے سوا کسی کا ہوش نہ ہوگا کچھ چہرے اُس روز دمک رہے ہوں گے ہشاش بشاش اور خوش و خرم ہوں گے اور کچھ چہروں پر اس روز خاک اڑ رہی ہوگی اور کلونس چھائی ہوئی ہوگی یہی کافر و فاجر لوگ ہوں گے
