Quran 30:23 (Ayah ar-Rum)

And one of His signs is your sleep by night and by day ˹for rest˺ as well as your seeking His bounty ˹in both˺. Surely in this are signs for people who listen. Quran 30:23 Surah ar-Rum (The Romans, The Byzantines)
This Surah is named after the ‘Romans’ – The word ‘Roman’ is mentioned only in this Surah in the Qur’an.
There are 60 Ayat in this Surah.
وَمِنۡ ءَایَـٰتِهِۦ مَنَامُكُم بِٱلَّیۡلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَٱبۡتِغَاۤؤُكُم مِّن فَضۡلِهِۦۤۚ إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَـٰتࣲ لِّقَوۡمࣲ یَسۡمَعُونࣱَ
The Surah reminds us that Allah is in control of everything. Those who are short sighted they see only what is apparent but they do not realize that there is a Creator and Master of this whole universe and it is He who is governing everything. Final decision is in Allah’s hand. The Akhirah will take place and the truth will prevail.
اور اُس کی نشانیوں میں سے تمہارا رات اور دن کو سونا اور تمہارا اس کے فضل کو تلاش کرنا ہے یقیناً اِس میں بہت سی نشانیاں ہیں اُن لوگوں کے لیے جو (غور سے) سُنتے ہیں
Sections:
The defeat of the Romans and then later their victory is foretold.
Creation and Resurrection belong to Allah. Glorify Allah at different times of the day.
The signs of Allah in nature.
The true religion corresponds and enhances the nature. Teachings of the religion of nature: tawhid, care of the family and relatives, economic justice and charity.
Corruption caused by human beings. Evidence of corruption in history. Evidence of resurrection in nature.
The Day of Resurrection.

Quran 18:10 (Supplication of the People of the Cave)

˹Remember˺ when those youths (People of the Cave) took refuge in the cave, and said, “Our Lord! Grant us mercy from Yourself and guide us rightly through our ordeal.” Quran 18:10 Surah al-Kahf (The Cave)
Al-Kahf (Arabic: الكهف, al-kahf; meaning: The Cave) is the 18th chapter (sūrah) of the Quran with 110 verses (āyāt).

إِذۡ أَوَى ٱلۡفِتۡیَةُ إِلَى ٱلۡكَهۡفِ فَقَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَاۤ ءَاتِنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحۡمَةࣰ وَهَیِّئۡ لَنَا مِنۡ أَمۡرِنَا رَشَدࣰا
The Surah answers some questions that the Mushrikin of Makkah posed to the Prophet (saw). The answers came in a very clear way and also challenged them to accept the message of Islam. In this Surah we have the stories of: the People of the Cave, the man who had two gardens and was very proud of himself, Prophet Moses with a special teacher, Dhul-Qarnain a pious ruler. These stories are told to emphasize the value of faith, knowledge and patience and the relativity of time.
جب وہ چند نوجوان غار میں پناہ گزیں ہوئے اور انہوں نے کہا کہ "اے پروردگار، ہم کو اپنی رحمت خاص سے نواز اور ہمارا معاملہ درست کر دے،"
Sections:
The upright message of the Qur’an.
The Companions of the Cave.

Always remember Allah. Every thing depends on Allah’s will.
The parable of an ungrateful person and a grateful person.
Wealth and children are only a passing show.
Satan and his progeny they are the open enemies of human beings.

The pious ruler Dhul Qarnain. Gog and Magog

Quran 6:60

He is the One Who calls back your souls by night and knows what you do by day, then revives you daily to complete your appointed term. To Him is your ˹ultimate˺ return, then He will inform you of what you used to do. Quran 6:60 Surah al-An`am (Livestock)
Al-An’am (Arabic: ٱلأنعام, al-ʾanʿām; meaning: The Cattle) is the sixth chapter (sūrah) of the Quran, with 165 verses (āyāt).

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِی یَتَوَفَّىٰكُم بِٱلَّیۡلِ وَیَعۡلَمُ مَا جَرَحۡتُم بِٱلنَّهَارِ ثُمَّ یَبۡعَثُكُمۡ فِیهِ لِیُقۡضَىٰۤ أَجَلࣱ مُّسَمࣰّىۖ ثُمَّ إِلَیۡهِ مَرۡجِعُكُمۡ ثُمَّ یُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ
This surah dwells on such themes as the clear signs of Allah’s Dominion and Power, rejecting polytheism and unbelief, the establishment of Tawhid (pure monotheism), the Revelation, Messengership, and Resurrection.
اور وہی تو ہے جو رات کو (سونے کی حالت میں) تمہاری روح قبض کرلیتا ہے اور جو کچھ تم دن میں کرتے ہو اس سے خبر رکھتا ہے پھر تمہیں دن کو اٹھا دیتا ہے تاکہ (یہی سلسلہ جاری رکھ کر زندگی کی) معین مدت پوری کردی جائے پھر تم (سب) کو اسی کی طرف لوٹ کر جانا ہے (اس روز) وہ تم کو تمہارے عمل جو تم کرتے ہو (ایک ایک کرکے) بتائے گا
Paying attention carefully to the contents of the verses of this Surah can remove the soul of hypocrisy and disperse from among Muslims, and cause the ears to be hearing, the eyes to be clear-sighted, and the hearts (minds) to be knowledgeable.

Quran 78:6~16

Have We not smoothed out the earth ˹like a bed˺, and ˹made˺ the mountains as ˹its˺ pegs, and created you in pairs, and made your sleep for rest, and made the night as a cover, and made the day for livelihood, and built above you seven mighty ˹heavens˺, and placed ˹in them˺ a shining lamp, and sent down from rainclouds pouring water, producing by it grain and ˹various˺ plants, and dense orchards? Quran 78 : 6~16 Surah an-Naba’ (Arabic: النبأ, an-nabaʼ, also known as "The Tidings", "The Announcement")

أَلَمۡ نَجۡعَلِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ مِهَـٰدࣰا وَٱلۡجِبَالَ أَوۡتَادࣰا وَخَلَقۡنَـٰكُمۡ أَزۡوَ ٰجࣰا وَجَعَلۡنَا نَوۡمَكُمۡ سُبَاتࣰا وَجَعَلۡنَا ٱلَّیۡلَ لِبَاسࣰا وَجَعَلۡنَا ٱلنَّهَارَ مَعَاشࣰا وَبَنَیۡنَا فَوۡقَكُمۡ سَبۡعࣰا شِدَادࣰا وَجَعَلۡنَا سِرَاجࣰا وَهَّاجࣰا وَأَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلۡمُعۡصِرَ ٰتِ مَاۤءࣰ ثَجَّاجࣰا لِّنُخۡرِجَ بِهِۦ حَبࣰّا وَنَبَاتࣰا وَجَنَّـٰتٍ أَلۡفَافًا
The Surah gives an important news or message. It tells us that the Day of Decision is coming. This beautiful and orderly universe is pointing to the Day of Decision. Allah will bring all people to judgment. The wicked will be thrown in the hell and the righteous will receive their reward from Allah.
This Surah takes its name from the second Ayat, عَنِ النَّبَإِ الْعَظِيمِ “About the great news -” [78:2].

Quran 18:17~18

And you would have seen the sun, as it rose, inclining away from their cave to the right, and as it set, declining away from them to the left, while they lay in its open space. That is one of the signs of Allah. Whoever Allah guides is truly guided. But whoever He leaves to stray, you will never find for them a guiding mentor. And you would have thought they were awake, though they were asleep. We turned them over, to the right and left, while their dog stretched his forelegs at the entrance. Had you looked at them, you would have certainly fled away from them, filled with horror. (Quran 18:17~18). Surah Kahf

۞ وَتَرَى ٱلشَّمۡسَ إِذَا طَلَعَت تَّزَ ٰوَرُ عَن كَهۡفِهِمۡ ذَاتَ ٱلۡیَمِینِ وَإِذَا غَرَبَت تَّقۡرِضُهُمۡ ذَاتَ ٱلشِّمَالِ وَهُمۡ فِی فَجۡوَةࣲ مِّنۡهُۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ مِنۡ ءَایَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِۗ مَن یَهۡدِ ٱللَّهُ فَهُوَ ٱلۡمُهۡتَدِۖ وَمَن یُضۡلِلۡ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُۥ وَلِیࣰّا مُّرۡشِدࣰا وَتَحۡسَبُهُمۡ أَیۡقَاظࣰا وَهُمۡ رُقُودࣱۚ وَنُقَلِّبُهُمۡ ذَاتَ ٱلۡیَمِینِ وَذَاتَ ٱلشِّمَالِۖ وَكَلۡبُهُم بَـٰسِطࣱ ذِرَاعَیۡهِ بِٱلۡوَصِیدِۚ لَوِ ٱطَّلَعۡتَ عَلَیۡهِمۡ لَوَلَّیۡتَ مِنۡهُمۡ فِرَارࣰا وَلَمُلِئۡتَ مِنۡهُمۡ رُعۡبࣰا
There is a hadith in Sahih Muslim that states that Muhammad said (Concerning The False Messiah, Al-Masih ad-Dajjal):
“He who amongst you would survive to see him should recite over him the opening verses of Sura Kahf”
— Sahih Muslim, Book 41, Number 7015
تم انہیں غار میں دیکھتے تو تمہیں یوں نظر آتا کہ سورج جب نکلتا ہے تو ان کے غار کو چھوڑ کر دائیں جانب چڑھ جاتا ہے اور جب غروب ہوتا ہے تو ان سے بچ کر بائیں جانب اتر جاتا ہے اور وہ ہیں کہ غار کے اندر ایک وسیع جگہ میں پڑے ہیں یہ اللہ کی نشانیوں میں سے ایک ہے جس کو اللہ ہدایت دے وہی ہدایت پانے والا ہے اور جسے اللہ بھٹکا دے اس کے لیے تم کوئی ولی مرشد نہیں پا سکتے تم انہیں دیکھ کر یہ سمجھتے کہ وہ جاگ رہے ہیں، حالانکہ وہ سو رہے تھے ہم انہیں دائیں بائیں کروٹ دلواتے رہتے تھے اور ان کا کتا غار کے دہانے پر ہاتھ پھیلائے بیٹھا تھا اگر تم کہیں جھانک کر اُنہیں دیکھتے تو الٹے پاؤں بھاگ کھڑے ہوتے اور تم پر ان کے نظارے سے دہشت بیٹھ جاتی
This Surah was sent down in answer to three questions which the polytheists of Makkah in consultation with the People of the Book (the Jews and the Christians) put to the Prophet. These were:
Who were ‘The Sleepers of the Cave?’
What is the real story of Khidr?
What do you know about Dhul-Qarnain?
These three questions and their stories related to the history of the Christians and the Jews and were unknown in the Arabian Peninsula (Hijaz), so they were being used to test the divine knowledge revealed to the Prophet. However, God informed the Prophet of the complete answer to these questions and also employed the stories in the conflict between Islam and unbelief.
The questioners were told that the ‘Sleepers of the Cave’ believed in the same doctrine of Monotheism (Tawhid) which was being put forward in the Qur’an and that their condition was similar to that of the persecuted Muslims of Makkah. Also, the persecutors of the Sleepers of the Cave behaved in the same way as the disbelievers of Quraysh towards the Muslims. This particular story was a warning to the chiefs of Makkah, who were persecuting the small newly formed Muslim community. Additionally, the Prophet was instructed not to compromise with the persecutors nor consider the chiefs to be more important than his own followers. Likewise, the chiefs too were admonished and informed not to be distracted by the temporary life of this world but seek the eternal life of the hereafter.
