Quran 80:33~42

[Surah `Abasa]

Then, when the Deafening Blast comes to pass— (i.e., by blowing of the Trumpet) on that Day every person will flee from their own siblings, and ˹even˺ their mother and father, and ˹even˺ their spouse & children. For then everyone will have enough concern of their own. On that Day ˹some˺ faces will be bright, laughing and rejoicing, while ˹other˺ faces will be dusty, cast in gloom— those are the disbelievers, the ˹wicked˺ sinners. Quran 80:33~42 Surah `Abasa (He Frowned)
The Surah takes its name from the first Ayat, عَبَسَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ “He frowned and turned away.” [80:1]

فَإِذَا جَآءَتِ ٱلصَّآخَّةُ يَوْمَ يَفِرُّ ٱلْمَرْءُ مِنْ أَخِيهِ وَأُمِّهِۦ وَأَبِيهِ وَصَـٰحِبَتِهِۦ وَبَنِيهِ لِكُلِّ ٱمْرِئٍ مِّنْهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ شَأْنٌ يُغْنِيهِ وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُّسْفِرَةٌ ضَاحِكَةٌ مُّسْتَبْشِرَةٌ وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَلَيْهَا غَبَرَةٌ تَرْهَقُهَا قَتَرَةٌ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْكَفَرَةُ ٱلْفَجَرَةُ
The Surah begins with the incident of a blind man (Abdullah ibn Umm Maktum) who came to the Prophet to seek knowledge, while the chiefs of Makkah were denying the message. It talks about the greatness of Allah’s message. Those who will accept this message they will benefit from it. But those who deny this message they are bringing harm to their own selves.
آخرکار جب وہ کان بہرے کر دینے والی آواز بلند ہوگی اُس روز آدمی اپنے بھائی اور اپنی ماں اور اپنے باپ اور اپنی بیوی اور اپنی اولاد سے بھاگے گا ان میں سے ہر شخص پر اس دن ایسا وقت آ پڑے گا کہ اسے اپنے سوا کسی کا ہوش نہ ہوگا کچھ چہرے اُس روز دمک رہے ہوں گے ہشاش بشاش اور خوش و خرم ہوں گے اور کچھ چہروں پر اس روز خاک اڑ رہی ہوگی اور کلونس چھائی ہوئی ہوگی یہی کافر و فاجر لوگ ہوں گے

Quran 17:97~99

Whoever Allah guides is truly guided. And whoever He leaves to stray, you will find no guardians for them besides Him. And We will drag them on their faces on the Day of Judgment— deaf, dumb, and blind. Hell will be their home. Whenever it dies down, We will flare it up for them. That is their reward for rejecting Our signs and asking ˹mockingly˺, “When we are reduced to bones and ashes, will we really be raised as a new creation?” Have they not realized that Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth, can ˹easily˺ re-create them? He has ˹already˺ set for them a time, about which there is no doubt. But the wrongdoers persist in denial Quran 17:97~99 Surah al-Isra` (The Israelites)
Al-Isrāʾ (Arabic: الإسراء; meaning: The Night Journey), also known as Banī Isrāʾīl (Arabic: بني إسرائيل; meaning:
The Children of Israel) is the 17th chapter (sūrah) of the Quran, with 111 verses (āyāt).

وَمَن یَهۡدِ ٱللَّهُ فَهُوَ ٱلۡمُهۡتَدِۖ وَمَن یُضۡلِلۡ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُمۡ أَوۡلِیَاۤءَ مِن دُونِهِۦۖ وَنَحۡشُرُهُمۡ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمۡ عُمۡیࣰا وَبُكۡمࣰا وَصُمࣰّاۖ مَّأۡوَىٰهُمۡ جَهَنَّمُۖ كُلَّمَا خَبَتۡ زِدۡنَـٰهُمۡ سَعِیرࣰا ذَ ٰلِكَ جَزَاۤؤُهُم بِأَنَّهُمۡ كَفَرُوا۟ بِءَایَـٰتِنَا وَقَالُوۤا۟ أَءِذَا كُنَّا عِظَـٰمࣰا وَرُفَـٰتًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبۡعُوثُونَ خَلۡقࣰا جَدِیدًا ۞ أَوَ لَمۡ یَرَوۡا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ قَادِرٌ عَلَىٰۤ أَن یَخۡلُقَ مِثۡلَهُمۡ وَجَعَلَ لَهُمۡ أَجَلࣰا لَّا رَیۡبَ فِیهِ فَأَبَى ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ إِلَّا كُفُورࣰا
The word Isra’ refers to the “night journey” of the prophet Muhammad.
This surah is part of a series al-Musabbihat surahs because it begins with the glorification of God.
اور جس شخص کو خدا ہدایت دے وہی ہدایت یاب ہے۔ اور جن کو گمراہ کرے تو تم خدا کے سوا اُن کے رفیق نہیں پاؤ گے۔ اور ہم اُن کو قیامت کے دن اوندھے منہ اندھے گونگے اور بہرے (بنا کر) اٹھائیں گے۔ اور ان کا ٹھکانہ دوزخ ہے۔ جب (اس کی آگ) بجھنے کو ہوگی تو ہم ان کو (عذاب دینے کے لئے) اور بھڑکا دیں گے یہ ان کی سزا ہے اس لئے کہ وہ ہماری آیتوں سے کفر کرتے تھے اور کہتے تھے کہ جب ہم (مر کر بوسیدہ) ہڈیاں اور ریزہ ریزہ ہوجائیں گے تو کیا ازسرنو پیدا کئے جائیں گے کیا انہوں نے نہیں دیکھا کہ خدا جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو پیدا کیا ہے اس بات پر قادر ہے کہ ان جیسے (لوگ) پیدا کردے۔ اور اس نے ان کے لئے ایک وقت مقرر کر دیا ہے جس میں کچھ بھی شک نہیں۔ تو ظالموں نے انکار کرنے کے سوا (اسے) قبول نہ کیا
This surah takes its name from the first verse which, in Islamic tradition, tells the event of the Isra,
the transportation of Muhammad during the night from the Great Mosque of Mecca to what is referred to as “the farthest Mosque”.”
The exact location is specified in the Qurran in Arabic words أَسۡرَىٰ بِعَبۡدِهِۦ لَيۡلٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ ٱلۡحَرَامِ إِلَى ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ ٱلۡأَقۡصَا but this is commonly taken to Noble Sanctuary (Temple Mount) in Jerusalem. Some scholars disagree about this (see Isra and Mi’raj) lively .
While the city of Jerusalem (or al Quds , Al-Aqsa mosque) is mentioned by name anywhere in the Qur’an,[citation needed]
The first verse refers to Mohammed being taken from the ‘Masjid ul-harram’ to the ‘Masjid al-Aqsa’:
Glory to (Allah) Who did take His servant for a Journey by night from the Sacred Mosque to the farthest Mosque, whose precincts We (God) did bless,-
so that We might show him some of Our Signs: for He is the One Who heareth and seeth (all things).

Quran 23:102~108

As for those whose scale is heavy ˹with good deeds˺, it is they who will be successful. But those whose scale is light, they will have doomed themselves, staying in Hell forever. The Fire will burn their faces, leaving them deformed. ˹It will be said,˺ “Were My revelations not recited to you, but you used to deny them?” They will cry, “Our Lord ! Our ill-fate took hold of us, so we became a misguided people. Our Lord ! Take us out of this ˹Fire˺. Then if we ever return ˹to denial˺, we will truly be wrongdoers.” Allah will respond, “Be despised in there ! Do not ˹ever˺ plead with Me ˹again˺! Quran 23:102~108
Surah al-Mu’minum [The Believers] takes its name after the first Ayat, قَدْ أَفْلَحَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ “Certainly will the Believers have succeeded.” [23:1].
This Surah has 118 Ayat.

فَمَن ثَقُلَتۡ مَوَ ٰزِینُهُۥ فَأُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ وَمَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَ ٰزِینُهُۥ فَأُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ ٱلَّذِینَ خَسِرُوۤا۟ أَنفُسَهُمۡ فِی جَهَنَّمَ خَـٰلِدُونَ تَلۡفَحُ وُجُوهَهُمُ ٱلنَّارُ وَهُمۡ فِیهَا كَـٰلِحُونَ أَلَمۡ تَكُنۡ ءَایَـٰتِی تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَیۡكُمۡ فَكُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ قَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا غَلَبَتۡ عَلَیۡنَا شِقۡوَتُنَا وَكُنَّا قَوۡمࣰا ضَاۤلِّینَ رَبَّنَاۤ أَخۡرِجۡنَا مِنۡهَا فَإِنۡ عُدۡنَا فَإِنَّا ظَـٰلِمُونَ قَالَ ٱخۡسَءُوا۟ فِیهَا وَلَا تُكَلِّمُونِ
In this Surah people are invited to accept and follow the Prophet. This is the central theme of the Surah. It speaks about the character of true believers and assures that they will be the real successful people. It draws attention to various stages of human creation, to many other universal signs. Then it takes some of the stories of other prophets and tells us that they also preached the same message.
تو جن کے (عملوں کے) بوجھ بھاری ہوں گے۔ وہ فلاح پانے والے ہیں اور جن کے بوجھ ہلکے ہوں گے وہ لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے اپنے تئیں خسارے میں ڈالا، ہمیشہ دوزخ میں رہیں گے آگ ان کے مونہوں کو جھلس دے گی اور وہ اس میں تیوری چڑھائے ہوں گے کیا تم کو میری آیتیں پڑھ کر نہیں سنائی جاتیں تھیں (نہیں) تم ان کو سنتے تھے (اور) جھٹلاتے تھے اے ہمارے پروردگار! ہم پر ہماری کم بختی غالب ہوگئی اور ہم رستے سے بھٹک گئے اے پروردگار! ہم کو اس میں سے نکال دے، اگر ہم پھر (ایسے کام) کریں تو ظالم ہوں گے (خدا) فرمائے گا کہ اسی میں ذلت کے ساتھ پڑے رہو اور مجھ سے بات نہ کرو

The character of the Believers. Various stages of human creation and Allah’s signs in the universe.
The Message of Prophet Noah, his people’s response and then the flood.
Generations were raised after Prophet Noah. Many prophets were sent among them. Then came Prophet Moses and Aaron and then came Jesus – peace be upon them all.
All prophets are one Ummah and preached the same religion. Those who are affluent think that they are also the righteous people, but the righteous are only those who do the good deeds.
Everything in the heaven and earth belongs to Allah.
Prophet’s job is to continue presenting the message of Allah.

Quran 75:20~25

But no ! In fact, you love this fleeting world, and neglect the Hereafter. On that Day ˹some˺ faces will be bright, looking at their Lord. And ˹other˺ faces will be gloomy, anticipating something devastating to befall them. Quran 75:20~25 (Surah al-Qiyamah)

كَلَّا بَلۡ تُحِبُّونَ ٱلۡعَاجِلَةَ وَتَذَرُونَ ٱلۡءَاخِرَةَ وُجُوهࣱ یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ نَّاضِرَةٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةࣱ وَوُجُوهࣱ یَوۡمَىِٕذِۭ بَاسِرَةࣱ تَظُنُّ أَن یُفۡعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَة
Al-Qiyama or Al-Qiyamah (Arabic: القيامة, al qiyāmah), meaning “The Resurrection”, or “The Rising of the Dead”, is the seventy-fifth chapter (sūrah) of the Quran, with 40 verses (ayah).

This Surah takes its name from the first Ayat, لَا أُقْسِمُ بِيَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ “I swear by the Day of Resurrection” [75:1].

مگر (لوگو) تم دنیا کو دوست رکھتے ہو اور آخرت کو ترک کئے دیتے ہو اس روز بہت سے منہ رونق دار ہوں گے اور اپنے پروردگار کے محو دیدار ہوں گے اور بہت سے منہ اس دن اداس ہوں گے خیال کریں گے کہ ان پر مصیبت واقع ہونے کو ہے
In the begining [75:4] and the end [75:40] there is a mention of the Qudra [power and ability] of Allah Almighty to resurrect a human after his death.
A question for the human in the beginning and the end:
أَيَحْسَبُ الْإِنسَانُ أَلَّن نَّجْمَعَ عِظَامَهُ “Does man think that We will not assemble his bones?” [75:3]
أَيَحْسَبُ الْإِنسَانُ أَن يُتْرَكَ سُدًى “Does man think that he will be left neglected?” [75:36]

Quran 3:106~109

On that Day some faces will be bright while others gloomy. To the gloomy-faced it will be said, “Did you disbelieve after having believed? So taste the punishment for your disbelief.” As for the bright-faced, they will be in Allah’s mercy, where they will remain forever. These are Allah’s revelations We recite to you ˹O Prophet˺ in truth. And Allah desires no injustice to ˹His˺ creation. To Allah ˹alone˺ belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And to Allah ˹all˺ matters will be returned ˹for judgment˺. Quran 3:106~109
Al Imran (Arabic: آل عمران, āl ʿimrān; meaning: The Family of Imran) is the third chapter (sūrah) of the Quran with two hundred verses (āyāt).

یَوۡمَ تَبۡیَضُّ وُجُوهࣱ وَتَسۡوَدُّ وُجُوهࣱۚ فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِینَ ٱسۡوَدَّتۡ وُجُوهُهُمۡ أَكَفَرۡتُم بَعۡدَ إِیمَـٰنِكُمۡ فَذُوقُوا۟ ٱلۡعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَكۡفُرُونَ وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِینَ ٱبۡیَضَّتۡ وُجُوهُهُمۡ فَفِی رَحۡمَةِ ٱللَّهِۖ هُمۡ فِیهَا خَـٰلِدُونَ تِلۡكَ ءَایَـٰتُ ٱللَّهِ نَتۡلُوهَا عَلَیۡكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّۗ وَمَا ٱللَّهُ یُرِیدُ ظُلۡمࣰا لِّلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَمَا فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرۡجَعُ ٱلۡأُمُورُ
It is named after Ale-Imran ‘the family of Imran’ – Imran being the grandfather of Jesus [Isa], and the father of Mary [Maryam]. Other than this Surah, Imran is not mentioned in the rest of the Qur’an with the exception of Surah 66: at-Tahreem – ‘Maryam daughter of Imran’ [66:12].
Zahra – The Prophet is reported to have called al-Baqarah and Ale-Imran as ‘Zahrawayn’ [Two Lights (of guidance)]
جس دن بہت سے منہ سفید ہوں گے اور بہت سے منہ سیاہ تو جن لوگوں کے منہ سیاہ ہوں گے (ان سے خدا فرمائے گا) کیا تم ایمان لا کر کافر ہوگئے تھے؟ سو (اب) اس کفر کے بدلے عذاب (کے مزے) چکھو اور جن لوگوں کے منہ سفید ہوں گے وہ خدا کی رحمت (کے باغوں) میں ہوں گے اور ان میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے یہ خدا کی آیتیں ہیں جو ہم تم کو صحت کے ساتھ پڑھ کر سناتے ہیں اور خدا اہلِ عالم پر ظلم نہیں کرنا چاہتا اور جو کچھ آسمانوں میں اور جو کچھ زمین میں ہے سب خدا ہی کا ہے اور سب کاموں کا رجوع (اور انجام) خدا ہی کی طرف ہے
The main topics of this Surah are Tawhid, Prophethood and the truth of the Qur’ an. As Surah al-Baqarah discussed the issues related to Bani Israel, this Surah discusses some issues related to the Christian community and their religious positions. It also discusses the subjects of Hajj, Jihad, Zakat and Riba. It ends, like Surah al-Baqarah, with a profound dua.

Quran 67:25~27

Still˺ they ask ˹the believers˺, “When will this threat come to pass, if what you say is true?” Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “That knowledge is with Allah alone, and I am only sent with a clear warning.” Then when they see the torment drawing near, the faces of the disbelievers will become gloomy, and it will be said ˹to them˺, “This is what you claimed would never come.” Quran 67:25~27
Al-Mulk (Arabic: الملك, “Sovereignty, Kingdom”) is the 67th chapter (surah) of the Quran, comprising 30 verses

Surah al-Mulk takes its name from the first Ayat, تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ “Blessed is He in whose hand is dominion, and He is over all things competent -” [67:1]
اور کہتے ہیں یہ وعدہ کب آئے گا اگر تم سچے ہو، تم فرماؤ یہ علم تو اللہ کے پاس ہے، اور میں تو یہی صاف ڈر سنانے والا ہوں پھر جب اسے پاس دیکھیں گے کافروں کے منہ بگڑ جائیں گے اور ان سے فرمادیا جائے گا یہ ہے جو تم مانگتے تھے
It talks about the greatness of Allah and beautiful universe that He has created. It reminds people that if they consider the laws of universe and travel in the land with open eyes, they will indeed see that this whole kingdom belongs to Allah and He controls everything.

Quran 54:47~48

Indeed, the wicked are ˹entrenched˺ in misguidance, and ˹are bound for˺ blazes. On the Day they will be dragged into the Fire on their faces, ˹they will be told,˺ “Taste the touch of Hell !” Quran 54:47~48
This Surah takes its name from the first Ayat, اقْتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَةُ وَانشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ “The Hour has come near, and the moon has split [in two].” (54:1). Surah al-Qamar is in the 27th Juzz and the word Qamar [moon] appears in the Qur’an 27 times. An interesting observation is that the Moon orbits the Earth every 27 days.
There are 55 Ayat in this Surah.

إِنَّ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ فِى ضَلَلٍۢ وَسُعُرٍۢ ‎ ‏يَوْمَ يُسْحَبُونَ فِى ٱلنَّارِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ ذُوقُوا۟ مَسَّ سَقَرَ ‎ ‎
The Surah talks about the approaching Day of Judgment. It describes some of the scenes of that Day. It also tells us that Allah’s judgment may come here and now. There are references to the flood that came at the time of Prophet Noah, the punishment of the people of ‘Ad, Thamud, People of Prophet Lot, the Pharaoh and his people. It ends with the good news for the Believers who will be near their Lord in the gardens of bliss.
یہ مجرم لوگ در حقیقت غلط فہمی میں میں مبتلا ہیں اور اِن کی عقل ماری گئی ہے جس روز یہ منہ کے بل آگ میں گھسیٹے جائیں گے اُس روز اِن سے کہا جائے گا کہ اب چکھو جہنم کی لپٹ کا مزا
Sections:
The Day of Judgment is near. References to Prophet Noah, and to the tribe of ‘Ad,
References to the Thamud tribe, Prophet Lot and his people.
Pharaoh and his arrogance. The opponents in Makkah are told whether they think they are better or more powerful than those nations. The wrong doers did suffer the consequences of their evil deeds.
