Quran 82:1~5

When the sky splits open, and when the stars fall away, and when the seas burst forth, and when the graves spill out, ˹then˺ each soul will know what it has sent forth or left behind. Quran 82:1~5 Surah al-Infitar (Bursting Apart)
The Surah takes its name from the first Ayat, إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انفَطَرَتْ “When the sky breaks apart” [81:1]
There are 19 Ayat in this Surah.

إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتْ وَإِذَا ٱلْكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتْ وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ وَإِذَا ٱلْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ
The Surah reminds the human being that Allah has given them a wonderful proportionate shape, but they and the whole universe are totally dependent upon Allah. The creation has a purpose and the Day of Judgment will come.
جب آسمان پھٹ جائے گا اور جب تارے جھڑ پڑیں گے اور جب دریا بہہ (کر ایک دوسرے سے مل) جائیں گے اور جب قبریں اکھیڑ دی جائیں گی تب ہر شخص معلوم کرلے گا کہ اس نے آگے کیا بھیجا تھا اور پیچھے کیا چھوڑا تھا
the central theme of this chapter is the Day of Judgments including the events preceding it and those that will happen within it like the end of the world, fates of the good and evil doers, the recording of deeds as well topics like man’s arrogance and in contrast, God’s Lordship and beneficence.

Quran 15:16~18

Indeed, We have placed constellations in the sky, and adorned it for all to see. And We protected it from every accursed devil, except the one eavesdropping, who is then pursued by a visible flare. Quran 15:16~18 [Surah al-Hijr (Rock City)]
It is named ‘Hijr’ after the valley located between Madinah and Sham [Greater Syria], where the people of Salih, Thamud lived.
There are 99 Ayat in this Surah.

وَلَقَدۡ جَعَلۡنَا فِی ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ بُرُوجࣰا وَزَیَّنَّـٰهَا لِلنَّـٰظِرِینَ وَحَفِظۡنَـٰهَا مِن كُلِّ شَیۡطَـٰنࣲ رَّجِیمٍ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱسۡتَرَقَ ٱلسَّمۡعَ فَأَتۡبَعَهُۥ شِهَابࣱ مُّبِینࣱ
The main theme of the Surah is divine guidance, and people’s response. Allah’s warns those who deny this message and as a reminder of these warnings, we have here the stories of Prophet Lot’s people, Thamud and other groups.
یہ ہماری کار فرمائی ہے کہ آسمان میں ہم نے بہت سے مضبوط قلعے بنائے، اُن کو دیکھنے والوں کے لیے مزین کیا اور ہر شیطان مردود سے ان کو محفوظ کر دیا کوئی شیطان ان میں راہ نہیں پا سکتا، الا یہ کہ کچھ سن گن لے لے اور جب وہ سن گن لینے کی کوشش کرتا ہے تو ایک شعلہ روشن اُس کا پیچھا کرتا ہے
Sections:
Qur’an is the Books of Allah. He revealed it and He will guard it.
Allah knows everything in the universe. He is the Creator of all.
The creation of human being is from a very humble stuff, but Allah honored him and asked angels to bow down to Adam. Satan’s response.
Allah is very forgiving, but His punishment is also severe.
Prophet Lot and Prophet Shu’aib’s people.
The People of Hijr and what happened to them. Qur’an and Surah al-Fatihah are special gifts of Allah. Allah will take care of those who ridicule His message

Quran 24:41~42

Do you not see that Allah is glorified by all those in the heavens and the earth, even the birds as they soar? Each ˹instinctively˺ knows their manner of prayer and glorification. And Allah has ˹perfect˺ knowledge of all they do. To Allah ˹alone˺ belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. And to Allah is the final return. Quran 24 : 41~42 [Surah an-Nur (The Light)]
Surah an-Nur [The Light] takes its name after the Ayat, اللَّـهُ نُورُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ “Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth….” [24:35].
The word Nur [light] is mentioned 7 times in this Surah, mentioned more times than in any other Surah of the Qur’an.
The Surah has 64 Ayat.

أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ یُسَبِّحُ لَهُۥ مَن فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَٱلطَّیۡرُ صَـٰۤفَّـٰتࣲۖ كُلࣱّ قَدۡ عَلِمَ صَلَاتَهُۥ وَتَسۡبِیحَهُۥۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِیمُۢ بِمَا یَفۡعَلُونَ وَلِلَّهِ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمَصِیرُ
This Surah contains many rules for the development of a society based on righteousness and morality. It talks about male-female relations, rules of proper dress for Muslim women, rules for the punishment of adultery and punishment of those who accuse others of adultery or fornication.
کیا تم دیکھتے نہیں ہو کہ اللہ کی تسبیح کر رہے ہیں وہ سب جو آسمانوں اور زمین میں ہیں اور وہ پرندے جو پر پھیلا ئے اڑ رہے ہیں؟ ہر ایک اپنی نماز اور تسبیح کا طریقہ جانتا ہے، اور یہ سب جو کچھ کرتے ہیں اللہ اس سے باخبر رہتا ہے آسمانوں اور زمین کی بادشاہی اللہ ہی کے لیے ہے اور اسی کی طرف سب کو پلٹنا ہے
Sections:
Punishment of adultery. Rules of testimony in the case of adultery.
The false rumors against Sayyidah ‘Aisha – may Allah be pleased with her.
Beware of those who slander pious chaste women.
Rules about entering others homes, proper dress, help those who are single to get married.
The light of Allah and the struggle between light and darkness.
Everything in the heaven and earth glorifies Allah.
Believers must obey Allah and His messenger.
Allah’s promise to the Believers to establish them in the land.
Rules of privacy for men and women, at home and outside.
Special respect of the Prophet and Believers’ duties towards him.

Quran 10:24

The life of this world is just like rain We send down from the sky, producing a mixture of plants which humans and animals consume. Then just as the earth looks its best, perfectly beautified, and its people think they have full control over it, there comes to it Our command by night or by day, so We mow it down as if it never flourished yesterday! This is how We make the signs clear for people who reflect. Quran 10:24 [Surah Yunus (Jonah)]
The surah is named after the Prophet Yunus [Jonah] and this is the only surah of the Qur’an to mention the ‘people of Yunus’ –
“Then has there not been a [single] city that believed so its faith benefited it except the people of Jonah?
When they believed, We removed from them the punishment of disgrace in worldly life and gave them enjoyment for a time” (10:98)
There are 109 Ayat in this Surah.

إِنَّمَا مَثَلُ ٱلۡحَیَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡیَا كَمَاۤءٍ أَنزَلۡنَـٰهُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ فَٱخۡتَلَطَ بِهِۦ نَبَاتُ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مِمَّا یَأۡكُلُ ٱلنَّاسُ وَٱلۡأَنۡعَـٰمُ حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَاۤ أَخَذَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ زُخۡرُفَهَا وَٱزَّیَّنَتۡ وَظَنَّ أَهۡلُهَاۤ أَنَّهُمۡ قَـٰدِرُونَ عَلَیۡهَاۤ أَتَىٰهَاۤ أَمۡرُنَا لَیۡلًا أَوۡ نَهَارࣰا فَجَعَلۡنَـٰهَا حَصِیدࣰا كَأَن لَّمۡ تَغۡنَ بِٱلۡأَمۡسِۚ كَذَ ٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ ٱلۡءَایَـٰتِ لِقَوۡمࣲ یَتَفَكَّرُونَ
The main subject of this Surah is faith in Allah and belief in the Hereafter.
Those who have true faith, they worship Allah and recognize Him as their Lord and Master and live their lives in accordance to His command.
Allah sent His Messengers to remind people and to warn them.
The stories of Prophets Noah and Prophet Moses with Pharaoh are told to remind people about the consequences of unfaithfulness and arrogance.
دنیا کی یہ زندگی (جس کے نشے میں مست ہو کر تم ہماری نشانیوں سے غفلت برت رہے ہو) اس کی مثال ایسی ہے جیسے آسمان سے ہم نے پانی برسایا تو زمین کی پیداوار، جسے آدمی اور جانور سب کھاتے ہیں، خوب گھنی ہو گئی، پھر عین اُس وقت جبکہ زمین اپنی بہار پر تھی اور کھیتیاں بنی سنوری کھڑی تھیں اور ان کے مالک یہ سمجھ رہے تھے کہ اب ہم ان سے فائدہ اُٹھانے پر قادر ہیں، یکایک رات کو یا دن کو ہمارا حکم آ گیا اور ہم نے اسے ایسا غارت کر کے رکھ دیا کہ گویا کل وہاں کچھ تھا ہی نہیں اس طرح ہم نشانیاں کھول کھول کر پیش کرتے ہیں اُن لوگوں کے لیے جو سوچنے سمجھنے والے ہیں
Sections:
The Qur’an is the Book of wisdom, it contains signs from the All Wise.
Man’s ingratitude to Allah and His revelation.
Allah’s mercy to His creation. Allah invites to the abode of peace.
Allah’s gifts. The Qur’an is from Allah. Bring a Surah like the Qur’an if you can.
Those who disbelieve in the Qur’an shall be the losers. Every people were sent a Messenger.
The Qur’an is a mercy, blessing and a cure for the problems of humankind.
Whatever you do Allah is a Witness. The mistakes of the Mushrikin.
The story of Prophet Noah and his people. Prophet Moses and Aaron -peace be upon them all.
Allah delivered the Children of Israel from the bondage of the Pharaoh.
Allah’s mercy for the Children of Israel. Prophet Yunus and his people.
If Allah afflicts you with any loss or wants to bestow any profit on you, none can avert it. You must always follow Allah’s guidance.

Quran 86:11~14

By the sky with its recurring cycles, and the earth with its sprouting plants ! Surely this ˹Quran˺ is a decisive word, and is not to be taken lightly. Quran: 86:11~14 at-Tariq (The Morning Star, The Nightcomer)
The Surah takes its name from the first Ayat, وَالسَّمَاءِ وَالطَّارِقِ “By the sky and the night comer -” [86:1]
There are 17 Ayat in this Surah.

وَٱلسَّمَاۤءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجۡعِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ ذَاتِ ٱلصَّدۡعِ إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوۡلࣱ فَصۡلࣱ وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلۡهَزۡلِ
Every thing in this universe is working under the protection and supervision of Allah.
The creation of human beings as well as the creation of this universe is not a joke.
The creation is a serious work of Allah and so is His word, the Qur’an.
قسم ہے بارش برسانے والے آسمان کی اور (نباتات اگتے وقت) پھٹ جانے والی زمین کی کہ یہ کلام ( قرآن ) (حق کو باطل سے) جدا کرنے والا ہے ہنسی مذاق نہیں ہے
It discuses two themes:
first, that man has to appear before God after death;
second, that the Qur’an is a decisive Word which no plan or device of the disbelievers can defeat or frustrate

Quran 85:11~16

Surely those who believe and do good will have Gardens under which rivers flow. That is the greatest triumph. Indeed, the ˹crushing˺ grip of your Lord is severe. ˹For˺ He is certainly the One Who originates and resurrects ˹all˺. And He is the All-Forgiving, All-Loving— Lord of the Throne, the All-Glorious, Doer of whatever He wills Quran 85:11~16 Surah Al-Burooj (The Mansions of Stars)
The Surah takes its name from the first Ayat,
وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْبُرُوجِ
“By the sky containing great stars” [85:1]

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُمۡ جَنَّـٰتࣱ تَجۡرِی مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَـٰرُۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡكَبِیرُ إِنَّ بَطۡشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِیدٌ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ یُبۡدِئُ وَیُعِیدُ وَهُوَ ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلۡوَدُودُ ذُو ٱلۡعَرۡشِ ٱلۡمَجِیدُ فَعَّالࣱ لِّمَا یُرِیدُ
The Surah speaks about the persecution of the Believers.
Allah watches over His own people and He will bring His enemies to judgment.
The Surah warns the opponents of this message.
Their end might be the same as that of many nations before who denied Allah’s message and persecuted the Believers.
(اور) جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور نیک کام کرتے رہے ان کے لیے باغات ہیں جن کے نیچے نہریں بہہ رہی ہیں۔ یہ ہی بڑی کامیابی ہے بےشک تمہارے پروردگار کی پکڑ بڑی سخت ہے وہی پہلی دفعہ پیدا کرتا ہے اور وہی دوبارہ (زندہ) کرے گا اور وہ بخشنے والا اور محبت کرنے والا ہے عرش کا مالک بڑی شان والا جو چاہتا ہے کر دیتا ہے
Theme
This Surah warns the disbelievers of the evil consequences of persecution and tyranny and consoles the believers that if they remain firm and steadfast against tyranny and coercion, they will be rewarded for it, and Allah Himself will avenge their persecutors. In this connection, the story of the people of the ditch (Ashab al-Ukhdud), who had burnt the believers to death by casting them into pits full of fire is related. By means of this story the believers and the disbelievers have been taught a few lessons:
That just as the people of the ditch became worthy of Allah’s curse and punishment, the chiefs of Makkah are also becoming worthy of it.
That just as the believers at that time had willingly accepted to sacrifice their lives by being burnt to death in the pits of fire instead of turning away from their faith, so also should the believers now endure every persecution and never give up faith.
That Allah, to Whom belongs the Kingdom of the earth and heavens, is Praiseworthy and is watching what the two groups are striving for.
Therefore, the disbelievers will not only be punished in Hell for their disbelief but, in addition to that, they also will suffer punishment by fire as a fit recompense for their tyranny and cruelty. The believers who are firm in their belief and do good deeds will go to paradise. This indeed is the supreme success. Then the disbelievers are warned that Allah’s grip is very severe. If they are proud of the strength of their hosts, they should know that the hosts of Pharaoh and Thamud were even stronger and more numerous. Therefore, they should learn a lesson from the fate these people of the past met. No one can escape Allah’s jurisdiction and the Qur’an that they are belying is unchangeable: it is inscribed in the Preserved Tablet, which cannot be destroyed in any way.

Quran 31:10~11

He created the heavens without pillars— as you can see— and placed firm mountains upon the earth so it does not shake with you, and scattered throughout it all types of creatures. And We send down rain from the sky, causing every type of fine plant to grow on earth. This is Allah’s creation. Now show Me what those ˹gods˺ other than Him have created. In fact, the wrongdoers are clearly astray. Quran 31:10~11 Surah Luqman
This Surah is named after the wise person called, Luqman – who was well known amongst the Arabs for his wisdom.
It is the 31st Chapter of the Quran, There are 34 Verses in it.

خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ بِغَیۡرِ عَمَدࣲ تَرَوۡنَهَاۖ وَأَلۡقَىٰ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ رَوَ ٰسِیَ أَن تَمِیدَ بِكُمۡ وَبَثَّ فِیهَا مِن كُلِّ دَاۤبَّةࣲۚ وَأَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءࣰ فَأَنۢبَتۡنَا فِیهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوۡجࣲ كَرِیمٍ هَـٰذَا خَلۡقُ ٱللَّهِ فَأَرُونِی مَاذَا خَلَقَ ٱلَّذِینَ مِن دُونِهِۦۚ بَلِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ فِی ضَلَـٰلࣲ مُّبِینࣲ
In this Surah, Tawhid is emphasized and Shirk and its ideas are critically examined. It tells us that those who are following Shirk they are only blindly following their forefathers. The true wisdom is to believe in Allah. The advises of Luqman the wise are also given here to support the same principles.
اس نے آسمانوں کو پیدا کیا بغیر ستونوں کے جو تم کو نظر آئیں اُس نے زمین میں پہاڑ جما دیے تاکہ وہ تمہیں لے کر ڈھلک نہ جائے اس نے ہر طرح کے جانور زمین میں پھیلا دیے اور آسمان سے پانی برسایا اور زمین میں قسم قسم کی عمدہ چیزیں اگا دیں یہ تو ہے اللہ کی تخلیق، اب ذرا مجھے دکھاؤ، ان دوسروں نے کیا پیدا کیا ہے؟ اصل بات یہ ہے کہ یہ ظالم لوگ صریح گمراہی میں پڑے ہوئے ہیں
Sections:
Qur’an is a book of guidance and mercy for all people.
The advises of Luqman the wise man.
Signs of tawhid in the heaven and earth. Shirk or polytheism has no basis.
In crisis people turn to the Real God. Let not the things of this world deceive you. All knowledge belongs to Allah.

Quran 22:31~32

Be upright ˹in devotion˺ to Allah, associating none with Him ˹in worship˺. For whoever associates ˹others˺ with Allah is like someone who has fallen from the sky and is either snatched away by birds or swept by the wind to a remote place. That is so. And whoever honours the symbols of Allah, it is certainly out of the piety of the heart. Quran 22:31~32 (Surah al-Hajj)
Named after the obligation of the pilgrimage to Makkah – The Hajj.
The word ‘Hajj’ is only mentioned once in this Surah, وَأَذِّن فِي النَّاسِ بِالْحَجِّ يَأْتُوكَ رِجَالًا وَعَلَىٰ كُلِّ ضَامِرٍ يَأْتِينَ مِن كُلِّ فَجٍّ عَمِيقٍ “And proclaim to the people the Hajj [pilgrimage]; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every distant pass -” [22:27]
There are 78 Ayat in this Surah.

حُنَفَاۤءَ لِلَّهِ غَیۡرَ مُشۡرِكِینَ بِهِۦۚ وَمَن یُشۡرِكۡ بِٱللَّهِ فَكَأَنَّمَا خَرَّ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ فَتَخۡطَفُهُ ٱلطَّیۡرُ أَوۡ تَهۡوِی بِهِ ٱلرِّیحُ فِی مَكَانࣲ سَحِیقࣲ ذَ ٰلِكَۖ وَمَن یُعَظِّمۡ شَعَـٰۤىِٕرَ ٱللَّهِ فَإِنَّهَا مِن تَقۡوَى ٱلۡقُلُوبِ
The Surah reminds about the approaching end of the world, need for the firmness of faith to support the truth and to eradicate the evil. It talks about prayers, humbleness and sacrifice, respect of the Ka’bah, the House of Allah, and striving to defend the truth.
یکسُو ہو کر اللہ کے بندے بنو، اس کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہ کرو اور جو کوئی اللہ کے ساتھ شرک کرے تو گویا وہ آسمان سے گر گیا، اب یا تو اسے پرندے اُچک لے جائیں گے یا ہوا اُس کو ایسی جگہ لے جا کر پھینک دے گی جہاں اُس کے چیتھڑے اڑ جائیں گے یہ ہے اصل معاملہ (اسے سمجھ لو)، اور جو اللہ کے مقرر کردہ شعائر کا احترام کرے تو یہ دلوں کے تقویٰ سے ہے
Sections:
The Shaking of the Last Hour. Arguments for the Resurrection from the stages of human creation and from the rain that produces vegetation.
The marginal Muslims and their end.
The true believers shall be rewarded.
Pilgrimage to the House of Allah.
Respect of the Symbols of Allah.
The permission of fighting back is granted to those to whom wrong is done.
Satan’s enticements and Allah’s especial protection of His words.
The reward of those who migrate in the cause of Allah.
Allah’s order prevails in the heaven and earth.
The Muslim community is chosen by Allah for a special purpose.

Quran 14:32~34

It is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth and sends down rain from the sky, causing fruits to grow as a provision for you. He has subjected the ships for your service, sailing through the sea by His command, and has subjected the rivers for you. He has ˹also˺ subjected for you the sun and the moon, both constantly orbiting, and has subjected the day and night for you. And He has granted you all that you asked Him for. If you tried to count Allah’s blessings, you would never be able to number them. Indeed humankind is truly unfair, ˹totally˺ ungrateful. [Quran 14:32~34 (Surah Ibrahim)].
The Surah derives its name from Ibrahim, the father of all prophets who came after him.

ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَأَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءࣰ فَأَخۡرَجَ بِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلثَّمَرَ ٰتِ رِزۡقࣰا لَّكُمۡۖ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلۡفُلۡكَ لِتَجۡرِیَ فِی ٱلۡبَحۡرِ بِأَمۡرِهِۦۖ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلۡأَنۡهَـٰرَ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلشَّمۡسَ وَٱلۡقَمَرَ دَاۤىِٕبَیۡنِۖ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّیۡلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ وَءَاتَىٰكُم مِّن كُلِّ مَا سَأَلۡتُمُوهُۚ وَإِن تَعُدُّوا۟ نِعۡمَتَ ٱللَّهِ لَا تُحۡصُوهَاۤۗ إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ لَظَلُومࣱ كَفَّارࣱ
The basic theme of the Surah is Allah’s guidance through His prophets.
The purpose of this guidance is to take the people from darkness to light.
Many people in the past had doubts about their prophets.
They laughed at them and they threatened to kill them or expel them from their towns.
However, the lasting word is the “good word.” The Surah also mentions Prophet Ibrahim’s prayer when he established the city of Makkah.
اللہ وہی تو ہے جس نے زمین اور آسمانوں کو پیدا کیا اور آسمان سے پانی برسایا، پھر اس کے ذریعہ سے تمہاری رزق رسانی کے لیے طرح طرح کے پھل پیدا کیے جس نے کشتی کو تمہارے لیے مسخر کیا کہ سمندر میں اُس کے حکم سے چلے اور دریاؤں کو تمہارے لیے مسخر کیا جس نے سورج اور چاند کو تمہارے لیے مسخر کیا کہ لگاتار چلے جا رہے ہیں اور رات اور دن کو تمہارے لیے مسخر کیا جس نے وہ سب کچھ تمہیں دیا جو تم نے مانگا اگر تم اللہ کی نعمتوں کا شمار کرنا چاہو تو کر نہیں سکتے حقیقت یہ ہے کہ انسان بڑا ہی بے انصاف اور ناشکرا ہے
