Hadees: Muslim 596

Ibn 'Abbas reported that he spent a night at the house of the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) The Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) got up for prayer in the latter part of the night. He went out and looked towards the sky and then recited this verse (190th) of AI-i-'Imran: Verily in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of night and day. up to the (words) save us from the torment of Hell. He then returned to his house, used the tooth-stick, performed the ablution, and then got up and offered the prayer. He than lay down on the bed. and again got up and went out and looked towards the sky and recited this verse (mentioned above), then returned, used the tooth-stick, performed ablution and again offered the prayer. Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the day and night there are signs for people of reason. ˹They are˺ those who remember Allah while standing, sitting, and lying on their sides, and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth ˹and pray˺, “Our Lord! You have not created ˹all of˺ this without purpose. Glory be to You! Protect us from the torment of the Fire. Quran 3:190~191 Surah al-Imran (The Family of Imran)
Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth; the alternation of the day and the night; the ships that sail the sea for the benefit of humanity; the rain sent down by Allah from the skies, reviving the earth after its death; the scattering of all kinds of creatures throughout; the shifting of the winds; and the clouds drifting between the heavens and the earth— ˹in all of this˺ are surely signs for people of understanding. Quran 2:164 Surah al-Baqarah (The Cow)
أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ بَاتَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ فَقَامَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ، فَخَرَجَ فَنَظَرَ فِي السَّمَاءِ، ثُمَّ تَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ فِي آلِ عِمْرَانَ {إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلَافِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ} [البقرة: 164] حَتَّى بَلَغَ {فَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ} [آل عمران: 191] ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَى الْبَيْتِ فَتَسَوَّكَ وَتَوَضَّأَ، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى ثُمَّ اضْطَجَعَ ثُمَّ قَامَ، فَخَرَجَ فَنَظَرَ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَتَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ، ثُمَّ رَجَعَ فَتَسَوَّكَ فَتَوَضَّأَ، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى
إِنَّ فِی خَلۡقِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَٱخۡتِلَـٰفِ ٱلَّیۡلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَٱلۡفُلۡكِ ٱلَّتِی تَجۡرِی فِی ٱلۡبَحۡرِ بِمَا یَنفَعُ ٱلنَّاسَ وَمَاۤ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ مِن مَّاۤءࣲ فَأَحۡیَا بِهِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِهَا وَبَثَّ فِیهَا مِن كُلِّ دَاۤبَّةࣲ وَتَصۡرِیفِ ٱلرِّیَـٰحِ وَٱلسَّحَابِ ٱلۡمُسَخَّرِ بَیۡنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ لَءَایَـٰتࣲ لِّقَوۡمࣲ یَعۡقِلُونَ إِنَّ فِی خَلۡقِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَٱخۡتِلَـٰفِ ٱلَّیۡلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ لَءَایَـٰتࣲ لِّأُو۟لِی ٱلۡأَلۡبَـٰبِ ٱلَّذِینَ یَذۡكُرُونَ ٱللَّهَ قِیَـٰمࣰا وَقُعُودࣰا وَعَلَىٰ جُنُوبِهِمۡ وَیَتَفَكَّرُونَ فِی خَلۡقِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقۡتَ هَـٰذَا بَـٰطِلࣰا سُبۡحَـٰنَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ
حضرت ابن عباس ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ نے ایک رات اللہ کے نبی ﷺ کے ہاں گزاری ۔ اللہ کے نبی ﷺ رات کے آخری حصے میں اٹھے، باہر نکلے اور آسمان پر نظر ڈالی پھر سورہ آل عمران کی آیت : ﴿إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلَافِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ﴾تلاوت کی اور﴿فَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ﴾تک پہنچے پھر گھر لوٹے اور اچھی طرح مسواک کی اور وضو فرمایا ، پھر کھڑے ہوئے اور نماز پڑھی ، پھر لیٹ گئے ، پھر کھڑے ہوئے ، باہر آسمان کی طرف دیکھا ، پھر ( دوبارہ ) یہ آیت پڑھی ، پھر واپس آئے ، مسواک کی اور وضو فرمایا ، پھر کھڑے ہوئے اور نماز پڑھی ۔
جو اٹھتے، بیٹھتے اور لیٹتے، ہر حال میں خدا کو یاد کرتے ہیں اور آسمان و زمین کی ساخت میں غور و فکر کرتے ہیں (وہ بے اختیار بو ل اٹھتے ہیں) "پروردگار! یہ سب کچھ تو نے فضول اور بے مقصد نہیں بنایا ہے، تو پاک ہے اس سے کہ عبث کام کرے پس اے رب! ہمیں دوزخ کے عذاب سے بچا لے
(اِس حقیقت کو پہچاننے کے لیے اگر کوئی نشانی اور علامت درکا رہے تو) جو لوگ عقل سے کام لیتے ہیں اُن کے لیے آسمانوں اور زمین کی ساخت میں، رات اور دن کے پیہم ایک دوسرے کے بعد آنے میں، اُن کشتیوں میں جوا نسان کے نفع کی چیزیں لیے ہوئے دریاؤں اور سمندروں میں چلتی پھرتی ہیں، بارش کے اُس پانی میں جسے اللہ اوپر سے برساتا ہے پھر اس کے ذریعے سے زمین کو زندگی بخشتا ہے اور اپنے اِسی انتظام کی بدولت زمین میں ہر قسم کی جان دار مخلوق پھیلاتا ہے، ہواؤں کی گردش میں، اور اُن بادلوں میں جو آسمان اور زمین کے درمیان تابع فرمان بنا کر رکھے گئے ہیں، بے شمار نشانیاں ہیں
