Significance of Keeping the Company of the Pious People

It was narrated that Abu Sa'eed Khudri said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘When Allah has saved the believers from Hell and they are safe, none of you will dispute with his companion more vehemently for some right of his in this world than the believers will dispute with their Lord on behalf of their brothers in faith who have entered Hell. They will say: Our Lord! They are our brothers, they used to pray with us, fast with us and perform Hajj with us, and you have admitted them to Hell. He (Allah) will say: Go and bring forth those whom you recognize among them. So they will come to them , and they will recognize them by their faces. The Fire will not consume their faces, although there will be some whom the Fire will seize halfway up their shins, and others whom it will seize up to their ankles. They will bring them forth, and will say. Our Lord, we have brought forth those whom You commanded us to bring forth. Then He (Allah) will say: Bring forth those who have a Dinar's weight of faith in their hearts, then those who have half a Dinar's weight in their hearts, then those who have a mustard-seed's weight. Contd… Abu Sa'eed said. : He who does not believe this, let him recite, 'Surely, Allah wrongs not even of the weight of an atom (or a small ant), but is there is any good (done), He doubles it, and gives from Him a great reward.’ [Quran 4:40 - Surah An-Nisā] ˹Luqmân added,˺ “O my dear son! ˹Even˺ if a deed were the weight of a mustard seed—be it ˹hidden˺ in a rock or in the heavens or the earth— Allah will bring it forth. Surely Allah is Most Subtle, All-Aware. [Quran 31:16 – Surah Luqman]
Quran 4:40
حَدَّثَنَا عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ‏"‏ إِذَا خَلَّصَ اللَّهُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مِنَ النَّارِ وَأَمِنُوا فَمَا مُجَادَلَةُ أَحَدِكُمْ لِصَاحِبِهِ فِي الْحَقِّ يَكُونُ لَهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا أَشَدَّ مُجَادَلَةً مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ لِرَبِّهِمْ فِي إِخْوَانِهِمُ الَّذِينَ أُدْخِلُوا النَّارَ ‏.‏ قَالَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا إِخْوَانُنَا كَانُوا يُصَلُّونَ مَعَنَا وَيَصُومُونَ مَعَنَا وَيَحُجُّونَ مَعَنَا فَأَدْخَلْتَهُمُ النَّارَ ‏.‏ فَيَقُولُ اذْهَبُوا فَأَخْرِجُوا مَنْ عَرَفْتُمْ مِنْهُمْ فَيَأْتُونَهُمْ فَيَعْرِفُونَهُمْ بِصُوَرِهِمْ لاَ تَأْكُلُ النَّارُ صُوَرَهُمْ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ أَخَذَتْهُ النَّارُ إِلَى أَنْصَافِ سَاقَيْهِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ أَخَذَتْهُ إِلَى كَعْبَيْهِ فَيُخْرِجُونَهُمْ فَيَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا أَخْرَجْنَا مَنْ قَدْ أَمَرْتَنَا ‏.‏ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَخْرِجُوا مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ وَزْنُ دِينَارٍ مِنَ الإِيمَانِ ثُمَّ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ وَزْنُ نِصْفِ دِينَارٍ ثُمَّ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ حَبَّةٍ مِنْ خَرْدَلٍ ‏"
قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ فَمَنْ لَمْ يُصَدِّقْ هَذَا فَلْيَقْرَأْ {إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَظْلِمُ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ وَإِنْ تَكُ حَسَنَةً يُضَاعِفْهَا وَيُؤْتِ مِنْ لَدُنْهُ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا}‏
Quran 31:16
ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب اللہ تعالیٰ مومنوں کو جہنم سے نجات دیدے گا، اور وہ امن میں ہو جائیں گے تو وہ اپنے ان بھائیوں کی نجات کے لیے جو جہنم میں داخل کر دئیے گئے ہوں گے، اپنے رب سے ایسی بحث و تکرار کریں گے ۱؎ کہ کسی نے دنیا میں اپنے حق کے لیے اپنے ساتھی سے بھی ویسا نہیں کیا ہو گا ۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: وہ عرض کریں گے: اے ہمارے رب! یہ ہمارے بھائی ہیں جو ہمارے ساتھ نماز پڑھتے تھے، روزہ رکھتے تھے، اور حج کرتے تھے، تو نے ان کو جہنم میں داخل کر دیا!
اللہ تعالیٰ فرمائے گا: جاؤ ان میں سے جنہیں تم پہچانتے ہو نکال لو ، وہ مومن ان جہنمیوں کے پاس آئیں گے، اور انہیں ان کے چہروں سے پہچان لیں گے، آگ ان کی صورتوں کو نہیں کھائے ہو گی، کسی کو آگ نے اس کی آدھی پنڈلیوں تک اور کسی کو ٹخنوں تک پکڑ لیا ہو گا، پھر وہ مومن ان کو جہنم سے نکالیں گے اور عرض کریں گے: اے ہمارے رب! جن کو تو نے نکالنے کا حکم دیا تھا ہم نے ان کو نکال لیا، پھر اللہ تعالیٰ فرمائے گا: جس شخص کے دل میں ایک دینار کے برابر ایمان ہو اس کو بھی جہنم سے نکال لو، پھر جس کے دل میں آدھا دینار کے برابر ایمان ہو، پھر جس کے دل میں رائی کے دانے کے برابر ایمان ہو ۔
