Hadees: Tirmizi 2411

Ibn 'Umar narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: Do not talk too much without remembrance of Allah. Indeed excessive talking without remembrance of Allah hardens the heart. And indeed the furthest of people from Allah is the harsh-hearted. Hadees: at-Tirmizi: 2411
عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: ‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ‏‏‏‏لَا تُكْثِرُوا الكَلامَ بغَيْرِ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ، فَإنَّ كَثْرَة الكَلامِ بِغَيْرِ ذِكْرِ اللَّه تَعالَى قَسْوةٌ لِلْقَلْبِ، وإنَّ أبْعَدَ النَّاسِ مِنَ اللَّهِ القَلبُ القَاسي
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”ذکر الٰہی کے سوا کثرت کلام سے پرہیز کرو اس لیے کہ ذکر الٰہی کے سوا کثرت کلام دل کو سخت بنا دیتا ہے اور لوگوں میں اللہ سے سب سے زیادہ دور سخت دل والا ہو گا“
