Hadees Abu-Daw’ud 5096

Supplication for entering home Abu Malik al-Asha’ri reported: The Messenger of Allah PBUH said, “When a man enters his house, let him say: O Allah, I ask you for the good of this entrance and exit, in the name of Allah I enter and in the name of Allah I leave, and upon Allah our Lord we rely. Then let him greet his family with peace.” Hadees: Sunan Abī Dāwūd 5096 & 4/325 Muslim {Hadith no. 2018) says that one should mention the Name of Allah when entering the home and when beginning to eat; and that the devil, hearing this, says: "There is no shelter for us here tonight and no food."
عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا وَلَجَ الرَّجُلُ بَيْتَهُ فَلْيَقُلْ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ الْمَوْلَجِ وَخَيْرَ الْمَخْرَجِ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَلَجْنَا وَبِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَرَجْنَا وَعَلَى اللَّهِ رَبِّنَا تَوَكَّلْنَا ثُمَّ لِيُسَلِّمْ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ سنن أبي داود 5096
ابو مالک اشعری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب کوئی آدمی اپنے گھر میں داخل ہونے لگے تو کہے «اللهم إني أسألك خير المولج وخير المخرج بسم الله ولجنا وبسم الله خرجنا وعلى الله ربنا توكلنا» ”اے اللہ! ہم تجھ سے اندر جانے اور گھر سے باہر آنے کی بہتری مانگتے ہیں، ہم اللہ کا نام لے کر اندر جاتے ہیں اور اللہ ہی کا نام لے کر باہر نکلتے ہیں اور اللہ ہی پر جو ہمارا رب ہے بھروسہ کرتے ہیں“ پھر اپنے گھر والوں کو سلام کرے۔
