Hadees: Muslim 2355

It was narrated that Abu Masud said:“We were commanded to give charity-and we were bearers (who carried goods for payments). Abu Aqil gave half a Sa in charity, and someone brought more than that. The hypocrites said: “Allah has no need of the charity of his man, and the other one only did it to show off”. Then the following verse was revealed: “Those who defame such of believers who give charity voluntarily and such who could not find to give charity except what is available to them””Hadees: Muslim 2355The Book of ZakatIt is these hypocrites who find fault with such of the believers who give generously, and they find fault with such believers who have nothing to give but the fruit of their toil and labor. They ridicule them all. حَدَّثَنَا عَنْ أَبِى مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ
أُمِرْنَا بِالصَّدَقَةِ.
قَالَ كُنَّا نُحَامِلُ –
قَالَ - فَتَصَدَّقَ أَبُو عَقِيلٍ
بِنِصْفِ صَاعٍ –
قَالَ - وَجَاءَ إِنْسَانٌ بِشَىْءٍ
أَكْثَرَ مِنْهُ
فَقَالَ الْمُنَافِقُونَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَغَنِىٌّ عَنْ صَدَقَةِ هَذَا وَمَا فَعَلَ هَذَا الآخَرُ إِلاَّ رِيَاءً فَنَزَلَتْ ( الَّذِينَ يَلْمِزُونَ الْمُطَّوِّعِينَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
فِى الصَّدَقَاتِ
وَالَّذِينَ لاَ يَجِدُونَ إِلاَّ جُهْدَهُمْ)
وَلَمْ يَلْفِظْ بِشْرٌ بِالْمُطَّوِّعِينَ.

حضرت ابومسعود انصاری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ

ہمیں صدقہ کا حکم دیا گیا
حالانکہ
ہم بوجھ اٹھا کر مزدوری کیا کرتے تھے،

ابوعقیل نے آدھا صاع صدقہ دیا
ایک اور آدمی ان سے زیادہ لایا ۔

تو منافقین نے کہا
اس صدقہ کی اللہ تعالیٰ کو ضرورت نہیں ہے ،
اس دوسرے نے تو محض دکھلاوے کے لیے
صدقہ دیا ۔

اس وقت یہ آیت نازل ہوئی (ترجمہ):

جو لوگ برضا و رغبت خیرات دینے والے مومنوں پر (ان کے) صدقات میں (ریاکاری و مجبوری کا) الزام لگاتے ہیں
اور ان (نادار مسلمانوں) پر بھی (عیب لگاتے ہیں) جو اپنی محنت و مشقت کے سوا (کچھ زیادہ مقدور) نہیں پاتے
سو یہ (ان کے جذبۂ اِنفاق کا بھی) مذاق اڑاتے ہیں،
اللہ انہیں ان کے تمسخر کی سزا دے گا
اور ان کے لئے دردناک عذاب ہے
