Indeed, humankind was created impatient: distressed when touched with evil, and withholding when touched with good—except those who pray, consistently performing their prayers;and who give the rightful share of their wealth to the beggar and the poor; and who ˹firmly˺ believe in the Day of Judgment;
Al-Maʻārij (Arabic: المعارج, “The Ascending Stairways”) is the seventieth chapter (sūrah) of the Qur’an, with 44 verses (āyāt).

إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَنَ خُلِقَ هَلُوعًا ‎
‏إِذَا مَسَّهُ ٱلشَّرُّ جَزُوعًۭا ‎
‏وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ ٱلْخَيْرُ مَنُوعًا ‎
‏إِلَّا ٱلْمُصَلِّينَ ‎
‏ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمْ دَآئِمُونَ ‎
‏وَٱلَّذِينَ فِىٓ أَمْوَلِهِمْ حَقٌّۭ مَّعْلُومٌۭ ‎
‏لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَٱلْمَحْرُومِ ‎
‏وَٱلَّذِينَ يُصَدِّقُونَ بِيَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ

کچھ شک نہیں کہ انسان کم حوصلہ پیدا ہوا ہے 
جب اسے تکلیف پہنچتی ہے تو گھبرا اٹھتا ہے 
اور جب آسائش حاصل ہوتی ہے تو بخیل بن جاتا ہے 
مگر نماز گزار جو نماز کا التزام رکھتے (اور بلاناغہ پڑھتے) ہیں  اور جن کے مال میں حصہ مقرر ہے (یعنی) مانگنے والے کا۔ اور نہ مانگے والے والا کا 
اور جو روز جزا کو سچ سمجھتے ہیں
1 A man demanded that the day of judgment might come at once
2-4 The day, whose space is fifty thousand years, will surely come
5-14 Muhammad to bear the insults of the infidels patiently, because judgment is near
12-18 Riches, children, and friends will not save the wicked from hell
19-24 The wicked are niggardly in health, but full of complaint when evil befalleth
25-35 The character of true believers described
36-41 Unbelievers need entertain no hope they shall escape destruction
42-45 Muhammad counselled to permit the unbelieving Makkans to sport themselves, because their damnation is nigh
