Quran 39:38

If you ask them ˹O Prophet˺ who created the heavens and the earth, they will certainly say, “Allah!” Ask ˹them˺, “Consider then whatever ˹idols˺ you invoke besides Allah: if it was Allah’s Will to harm me, could they undo that harm? Or if He willed ˹some˺ mercy for me, could they withhold His mercy?” Say, “Allah is sufficient for me. In Him ˹alone˺ the faithful put their trust.”

^{The Surah takes its name from the mention of ‘az-Zumar’ in (39:71) and (39:73). These are the only mention of the words zumar in the whole Qur’an.
There are 88 Ayat in this Surah.}

وَلَىِٕن سَأَلۡتَهُم مَّنۡ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ
لَیَقُولُنَّ ٱللَّهُۚ

قُلۡ أَفَرَءَیۡتُم مَّا تَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ إِنۡ أَرَادَنِیَ ٱللَّهُ بِضُرٍّ هلۡ هُنَّ كَـٰشِفَـٰتُ ضُرِّهِۦۤ
أَوۡ أَرَادَنِی بِرَحۡمَةٍ
هَلۡ هُنَّ مُمۡسِكَـٰتُ رَحۡمَتِهِۦۚ

قُلۡ حَسۡبِیَ ٱللَّهُۖ
عَلَیۡهِ یَتَوَكَّلُ ٱلۡمُتَوَكِّلُونَ

^{The Surah talks about the true religion. It is to serve Allah sincerely and to avoid Shirk.}
^{Tawhid brings the blessings of Allah, while Shirk has terrible consequences.}
^{The Believers are told not to despair and lose heart. If it is difficult for them to practice their religion in one place, they can migrate from that land.}
^{The unbelievers are told that they can do whatever they wish, but they cannot turn the Believers away from the path of faith.}

اِن لوگوں سے اگر تم پوچھو کہ زمین اور آسمانوں کو کس نے پیدا کیا ہے
تو یہ خود کہیں گے کہ اللہ نے

اِن سے کہو، جب حقیقت یہ ہے تو
تمہارا کیا خیال ہے کہ اگر اللہ
مجھے کوئی نقصان پہنچانا چاہے
تو کیا تمہاری یہ دیویاں،
جنہیں تم اللہ کو چھوڑ کر پکارتے ہو،
مجھے اُس کے پہنچائے ہوئے نقصان سے بچا لیں گی؟
یا اللہ مجھ پر مہربانی کرنا چاہے تو کیا یہ اس کی رحمت کو روک سکیں گی؟

بس ان سے کہہ دو کہ
میرے لیے اللہ ہی کافی ہے،
بھروسہ کرنے والے
اُسی پر بھروسہ کرتے ہیں

To Allah belongs the pure and sincere religion. The principle of Tawhid and its benefits. The evil of Shirk and its consequences.
The reward of those who are steadfast in their faith.
The perfect guidance of the Qur’an. It is straight without any crookedness.
Allah is sufficient for the Prophet. The rejecters will be abased.
The futility of Shirk and its evil consequences.
Allah’s mercy is available for all.
You ignorant people, do you invite me to worship someone other than Allah? The Judgment of Allah.
The reward of Believers and the punishment of the unbelievers.}
