Quran 15:1~4

Alif-Lãm-Ra. These are the verses of the Book; the clear Quran.˹The day will come when˺ the disbelievers will certainly wish they had submitted ˹to Allah˺.˹So˺ let them eat and enjoy themselves and be diverted by ˹false˺ hope, for they will soon know.We have never destroyed a society without a destined term.Quran 15:1~4

It is named ‘Hijr’ after the valley located between Madinah and Sham [Greater Syria], where the people of Salih, Thamud lived.
There are 99 Ayat in this Surah.

۞ الۤرۚ
تِلۡكَ ءَایَـٰتُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ وَقُرۡءَانࣲ مُّبِینࣲ

رُّبَمَا یَوَدُّ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوۡ كَانُوا۟ مُسۡلِمِینَ
ذَرۡهُمۡ یَأۡكُلُوا۟ وَیَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ وَیُلۡهِهِمُ ٱلۡأَمَلُۖ فَسَوۡفَ یَعۡلَمُونَ

وَمَاۤ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مِن قَرۡیَةٍ إِلَّا وَلَهَا كِتَابࣱ مَّعۡلُوم

The main theme of the Surah is divine guidance, and people’s response. Allah’s warns those who deny this message and as a reminder of these warnings, we have here the stories of Prophet Lot’s people, Thamud and other groups.

ا ل ر
یہ آیات ہیں کتاب الٰہی
اور قرآن مبین کی

بعید نہیں کہ ایک وقت وہ آ جائے
جب وہی لوگ جنہوں نے آج
(دعوت اسلام کو قبول کرنے سے)
انکار کر دیا ہے
پچھتا پچھتا کر کہیں گے کہ
کاش ہم نے سر تسلیم خم کر دیا ہوتا

چھوڑو اِنہیں کھائیں، پییں، مزے کریں، اور بھلاوے میں ڈالے رکھے اِن کو جھوٹی امید
عنقریب اِنہیں معلوم ہو جائے گا

ہم نے اِس سے پہلے جس بستی کو بھی ہلاک کیا ہے اس کے لیے ایک خاص مہلت عمل لکھی جاچکی تھی

Sections:
Qur’an is the Books of Allah. He revealed it and He will guard it.
Allah knows everything in the universe. He is the Creator of all.
The creation of human being is from a very humble stuff, but Allah honored him and asked angels to bow down to Adam. Satan’s response.
Allah is very forgiving, but His punishment is also severe.
