Quran 27:67~69 (Ayah An-Naml)
The disbelievers ask, “When we and our fathers are reduced to dust, will we really be brought forth ˹alive˺? We have already been promised this, as well as our forefathers earlier. This is nothing but ancient fables!” Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Travel throughout the land and see the fate of the wicked.” Quran 27:67~69 Surah An-Naml (The Ant)
Surah Naml is named after ‘the Ant’ mentioned in (27:18).
This is the only mention of ‘the Ant’ in the whole of the Qur’an.
There are 93 Ayat in this Surah.
سُوۡرَةُ النَّمل وَقَالَ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡۤا ءَاِذَا كُنَّا تُرٰبًا وَّاٰبَآؤُنَاۤ اَٮِٕنَّا لَمُخۡرَجُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۶۷﴾ لَـقَدۡ وُعِدۡنَا هٰذَا نَحۡنُ وَاٰبَآؤُنَا مِنۡ قَبۡلُۙ اِنۡ هٰذَاۤ اِلَّاۤ اَسَاطِيۡرُ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۶۸﴾ قُلۡ سِيۡرُوۡا فِى الۡاَرۡضِ فَانْظُرُوۡا كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الۡمُجۡرِمِيۡنَ‏ ﴿۶۹﴾
The theme of the Surah is divine guidance in history.
Allah sent His Prophets to different people. Some accepted them and were guided,
while others denied them and they saw the consequences of their denial.
The Surah also contrasts between the principles of Tawhid and shirk.
سُوۡرَةُ النَّمل یہ منکرین کہتے ہیں "کیا جب ہم اور ہمارے باپ دادا مٹی ہو چکے ہوں گے تو ہمیں واقعی قبروں سے نکالا جائے گا؟ ﴿۶۷﴾ یہ خبریں ہم کو بھی بہت دی گئی ہیں اور پہلے ہمارے آباء اجداد کو بھی دی جاتی رہی ہیں، مگر یہ بس افسانے ہی افسانے ہیں جو اگلے وقتوں سے سُنتے چلے آ رہے ہیں" ﴿۶۸﴾ آپ ﷺ کہہ دیجیے کہ ذرا زمین میں چل پھر کر دیکھو کہ مجرموں کا کیا انجام ہو چکا ہے ﴿۶۹﴾
