Quran 16:14

And He is the One Who has subjected the sea, so from it you may eat tender seafood and extract ornaments to wear. And you see the ships ploughing their way through it, so you may seek His bounty and give thanks ˹to Him˺.Quran 16:14Surah an-Nahl (The Bee)

^{The Bee (Arabic: الْنَّحْل; an-naḥl) is the 16th chapter (sūrah) of the Qur’an, with 128 verses (āyāt).}

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِی
سَخَّرَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَ
لِتَأۡكُلُوا۟ مِنۡهُ لَحۡمࣰا طَرِیࣰّا وَتَسۡتَخۡرِجُوا۟ مِنۡهُ
حِلۡیَةࣰ تَلۡبَسُونَهَاۖ

وَتَرَى ٱلۡفُلۡكَ مَوَاخِرَ فِیهِ وَلِتَبۡتَغُوا۟ مِن فَضۡلِهِۦ

وَلَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُونَ

^{The Surah speaks about Allah’s creative power.
Everything in the universe points to Allah.
There is coherence and balance in Allah’s creation.}

اور وہی تو ہے جس نے
سمندر کو تمہارے اختیار میں کیا تاکہ اس میں سے تازہ گوشت کھاؤ اور اس سے
زیور (موتی وغیرہ) نکالو جسے تم پہنتے ہو۔

اور تم دیکھتے ہو کہ کشتیاں سمندر میں پانی کو پھاڑتی چلی جاتی ہیں۔
اور اس لیے بھی (سمندر کو تمہارے اختیار میں کیا) کہ
تم خدا کے فضل سے
(معاش) تلاش کرو
تاکہ اس کا شکر کرو

^{It is named after honey bees mentioned in verse 68, and contains a comparison of the industry and adaptability of honey bees with the industry of man.
And your Lord taught the honey bee to build its cells in hills, on trees, and in (men’s) habitations; Then to eat of all the produce (of the earth), and find with skill the spacious paths of its Lord: there issues from within their bodies a drink of varying colours, wherein is healing for men: verily in this is a Sign for those who give thought.}
